Happy birthday, BabyValium Smile - wishing all the Valiums a lovely day today.

Scooby, your rep sounds useless idiotic positively damaging to your case Shock!! What on earth was she thinking? I am speechless at such undermining bollocking bollocks - from One Of Our Own . What hope is there Sad?

Smac, did you really need us going to Skye in the middle of winter to appreciate the level of insanity that rules this family Wink? Glad to 'see' you back.

I am ment to fold laundry/phone my mother/get showered/unpack remaining bags/mop up water from dripping tap (don't ask!), so obviously I had to check my e-mails first and need to do some light MNing Hmm. Oh dear Blush..

Dalrymps · 17/02/2011 12:37

Happy Birthday to Valiums DD! Grin
Hope you all have a lovely day!

Siamese Shock I mean, I see that they're trying to show you can still be sexy and pregnant but that vid is just weirdConfused Yes, I also need confirmation of relationship status!

MummyElk · 17/02/2011 13:21

i don't care about their status, i'm just Shock at his general beauty...and obviously i'm very Envy at her AMAZING tummy...
Did remind me quite how grey rank old my oldest nursing bra is though, might have to consider a newer version if DD2 continues her boob obsession....
Happy birthday BabyValium!!!

Dalrymps · 17/02/2011 13:30

He he melk, I have a grey white bra and a yellow one cause Dylan shoved a duster in the white wash without us noticing Hmm

slimmingsarahandco · 17/02/2011 13:30

Happy first birthday babyvallum!!!

A week on Monday til our DS- haven't sorted anything- except the builders are in for a couple days next week to 'openplan' our kitchen/ dining room. On my birthday... Not that there is much to celebrate.

I need cheering up MMM's ! Come on...

And SIAMESE- they both looked good but it just seemed WRONG !

BlessedAssurance · 17/02/2011 15:26

happy birthday little valium

congratulations rkd aunty to twins..

scooby that is just not fair, lets hope you will find something that will work out for you.

siamese what a funny video..

shout outs to all, just tired lately,,oh and lurking and being unfaithful to the MMMMM,,

FlipFantasia · 17/02/2011 17:01

Happy birthday babyValium! Hope you're having a good day Valium

Pacific I'm jealous, I'd love to go to Skye...even in February Grin. We're thinking of doing a Scottish camping holiday this year. As four years in Scotland for my degree and I never had the money to make it out to see Glencoe or any of the Islands or anything on the west coast.

Scooby so unfair what you're going through. I can't believe your rep Shock but the boss is terrible. It must be so stressful...hope the building works go well though!

Sarah sorry to hear of the stress about your dog Sad. What a nightmare decision to make.

Siamese that video is hilarious! It seemed like a funny spoof to me, so wasn't repelled by it. Found it v funny, as I felt about as sexy as a coot when I was pregnant! I do love my two trusty hot milk nursing bras though...and I love your DNiece's name Smile

Smac happy nearly first birthday to your website!

Sariska Bluey and Donttry did you ladies meet for lunch today?

Big waves to everyone I've not mentioned [waves]

I'm taking DS into the office next week, as it's the last week I'll be able to as we're starting settling in at nursery the week after and then back to work in late March.

Not much going on with me, other than that we decided to postpone the IVF. I was feeling so pressured and stressed, mainly to do with the BFing but also with just life in general. So we decided there's no absolute rush, I still have time on my side a little so we'll aim to get a round in later this year. IVF is such a rollercoaster, that I couldn't bear the thought of rushing into it just because I felt I had to (when, in fact, the benefit of going private is that we're in charge of timings!). Then DS got so sick all of last week and went right off solids and was like a newborn feeding, so I was glad I hadn't started IVF then!

Anyway, rather amazingly DS is asleep in his cot. I thought I'd better try and get some cot sleeping practice in as I'd like him to sleep in the cot at nursery (he's been having most of his naps in his buggy for months now!). So best get some housework done while I can!

Laters ladies Smile

MandaHugNKiss · 17/02/2011 18:28

Happy first birthday, SmallestValium

pd I'm 11+1 (my dates) or 11+5 lmp. Either way, still in sicky zone for a little while. Skye sounded both wonderous and torturous in one fell swoop. No mean feat!

siamese All I could think was 'those bras aren't actually sexy/very nice...I thought HotMilk were meant to be a little of both' I guess the whole 'sexiness' bypassed me. Maybe because they both looked too... clean freak to have had sex. Although she clearly had unless that was an immaculate conception or the world best prosthetic pregnancy belly.

(I realise I possibly sound like sexy people need to look ''dirty' - that wasn't what I meant at all! Oh, I know what I mean. Hopefully someone else might too!)

Haven't taken seabands off since yesterday morning - feel vauely background sick today, which is better than it was but, oh, y'know what? I'm gonna stop moaning about this!

Flisspaps · 17/02/2011 20:43

Sarah :( about your Lab. I am sure all will be well for Elliott?s birthday, there?s AGES before Saturday yet?hours and hours and hours!

squigglywriggler (have I missed a name change?) loving the ?year ago? post ? I missed all of these first time round as I was still misguidedly posting in the Feb 2010 thread back then Hmm

Siamese What a lovely name for DN :) You?ve just reminded me I?m supposed to have made another dentist appt before my card runs out?which is next week :( Doubt I?ll get in, and I need my front tooth rebuilding with more filling :( :(

Know what you mean about being wide awake but knackered. And that is a very odd video. I am not at all sure they are in a loving relationship though.

Scooby26 What a wanker poor show from the big big boss. Insolent Hmm?! Agree wholeheartedly with Manda. Just read your post about the Federation Rep. Well, that explains everything. I didn?t know you worked in the 1950?s!

?Manda - OBEM - I thought her mum was a bit too ?strong for her? as well. I am very glad that DH wasn?t so ?strong for me? when it came to me being offered an epidural. And don?t feel you need to stop moaning, it?s what we?re here for!

Arcadie How exciting! Grin Grin (twin grins for you)

Sariska How was day 2? Is DS any better?

Pacific Hol sounds delightful. Have never ventured further north than Newcastle myself!

Smac Sounds like all is going well with the business. You?ll be forgiven for going to the other side (shh, I?ve registered on there too so I can post on the local boards occasionally to try and drum up trade Wink)

Flip Hope DS is feeling better now.

Valium Happy birthday to DD

Don?t think there?s anything exciting happening here, still only have one mindee and could do with more but one is better than none, and DD gets on SO well with her.

Am slowly working out who is who on FB, I added many of you a couple of weeks ago but haven?t quite worked out what RL name goes with which MN name!

MummyElk · 17/02/2011 21:05

quick one from me - fliss have a look on the MN March 2010 group page and click on Discussions... Head girls sorted us out alphabetically etcetera etcetera (thank goodness for controlfreaks the organised ones Smile)

slimmingsarahandco · 17/02/2011 21:27

Vets called,. dog has the all clear! Hmmurine and bloods taken are normal, so he does not have cushings and we dont have to have him put down, they are going to keep an eye on him but think he must have picked up a nasty virus.....ab's seem to have sorted him out- so relieved!

Flip= glad you c an relax a little about the ivf- must be better all round if timing etc are good, hope lo is better now too!

PD- your break away soundedfunny lovley!
i would love to be a fly on the wall around ur brood sometimes!

Pixie= hows ur brood?

ARCADIE- wow how very exciting for your ds!

i have another cold and sore chest..... grrrrr flipping bugs!

night all- sorry to anyone i have missed!

donttrythisathome · 17/02/2011 21:34

Just marking me spot.

scooby am so angry on your behalf. What a terrible rep. Bloody stone age.

flip haven't met sariska and bluey* for lunch yet. Will pm sariska. Wasn't working today.

My nose is at me now - what is your DN's name siamese. I can't see it posted here. Or was it just on FB? Think that ad is just a bit silly, he's a bit of a gurning idiot really.

PacificDogwood · 17/02/2011 21:58

Personally, I've always had a problem with the whole concept of 'BFing' and 'sexiness' - 'tis just wrong

MandaHugNKiss · 17/02/2011 22:13

PD four boys under the age of eight seem to suggest you are not a prude! A prude would surely struggle to get past one: 'Oh, noooo dear, the baby/child might hear!' Grin

PacificDogwood · 17/02/2011 22:27
Grin
Flisspaps · 17/02/2011 22:34

Shock at PD's flashing

MandaHugNKiss · 17/02/2011 22:51

Oh that's nothing fliss - do you not remember IWCAS flashing the delivery man?!

(ps, love to you, IWCAS - not heard from you for a little while, do hope things are ticking along nicely)

Hey, pd you can't fool me. I know you've omitted the fact that DH has a penchant for flannel Wink

Flisspaps · 17/02/2011 22:53

Hahaha I'd forgotten about that...bet IWCAS is wishing everyone had. She posted some pics on FB the other day (of DS, not of BiscuitBiscuit)

scooby26 · 17/02/2011 23:52

Evening all

Third drink in hand and wide awake.

I've given up going to bed and expecting to sleep nowadays with everything going on.

So- due in to work at 4pm later today- do I go? Straw poll please........

Got problems with the hrs Saturday and next Friday. They have known for ages and were reminded last week and as yet have not suggested a plan to me despite me emailing them last week and his boss saying I will be 'accomodated' in short term- do I spend my life now working day to day/ week to week? I don't think o can do this anymore. If only I didn't need my wage... Anyone know a Millionaire out there? Right off to put euromillions on.... Xx

MandaHugNKiss · 18/02/2011 12:08

Egads, scoob I am so sorry. This may, or may not be helpful:

You've tried really hard to do it the 'right' way so now maybe it's time to actually think abot yourself (and how that in turn has a knock on effect on your baby and relationship... ) and see your GP. Your not sleeping and stomach pains are pretty Stress By The Book and if I were you, I'd be thinking that until my bosses wanted to be reasonable, I'd get myself signed off sick. I know, I know, as a tactic it's not the best (although, hey, gotta be better than some simpering betrayer woman claiming all women go funny after a baby - wtf?!) but I really think you're crumbling under the pressure - and who the feck wouldn't? You need some time and space. If your bosses want to act like a bunch of twats, let them be a bunch of twats who now need to cover your shifts completely rather than just jiggle them about.

I know it feels easier to just give up (I've done it before Sad) but plese don't.

Thinking of you.
