snowwombat · 08/11/2011 22:16

Scooped? Wtf scooted

snowwombat · 09/11/2011 23:06

Bugger, killed the thread again

Hope you are all ok out there juners

TheNinjaGooseIsOnAMission · 10/11/2011 10:26

ahhhh, that's better!

took a parcel in for my neighbour yesterday, on collection she said, oooh that's my christmas shopping finished why can't I be so organised Grin

snow, I was quite disappointed to read that you meant scooted, I was imagining a new riding style, possibly akin to rodeo Grin Sorry, not got one of the wheely things, always thought they wouldn't be so good on carpet? Z sounds gorgeous, love that stage, almost one, wow that time has flown!! Sorry but reading about A's antics made me Grin sooooo been there before, lovely isn't it?! How's the tt going? E's loving preschool, still waiting for his speech to improve, it's a very slow process this end, pleased to hear A is well on the way, well done that boy Smile Dd3 is getting on soooooo well at her new school, it's made a world of difference, totally unbelievable change, although she's trying to rival her brother with the accident book atm, fell off the wall of the ballpool and bounced herself off the trampoline in the last 7 seven days Hmm at least in her school they have a nursing team so she was well looked after! When are you off to oz? Brio is always a hit, even my older dcs will still play with it when we get it out, even dd1! It's one of those toys you put in the loft for the grandkids imo. Balance bikes do look good fun, does he have one of those mini micro scooters?

june, how's C doing with the 5 mornings, must make work a lot easier! My ds1 used to love a trip to the toilet when we were out, ils used to joke that he could write a book on public toilets, he didn't always go once in though Hmm C's not daft is she Grin did you put noddy on for her? Ignore, answer once and then don't get dragged into further discussion when it comes to answering back, lots of praise when she accepts what you say the first time. I'm not sure it's something you can get rid of completely but you can certainly reduce it!

zhen, what an absolute nightmare, is it all sorted yet? Have you all settled in, horrible circumstances under which to move, does the place need much work doing to it? How nice to get a break, you must have been desperately in need after all that Smile

gauchita, so pleased to hear you and D are better. How are M and D sleeping now? Bloody hell gauchita, don't think there's much point you buying any lottery tickets the way your luck is right now Sad wouldn't be quite so bad if you could use it as an excuse to visit family would it! Are you packed and ready to go? Is this something that has to be done on a regular basis [clueless]

been a bit hectic here, not entirely sure why as I don't actually appear to have achieved anything Hmm I have managed to sort some christmas presents, dd2 wanted a new phone blackberry and they had a really good deal on in tescos for a £10 a month with a samsung galaxy mini, minutes, texts and internet so got her one of those, she's quite happy thankfully. Dd1 and 2 both wanted a hoody from their dance school so I have those on order and ds1 wanted a thing so he could go online with his xbox, dd3 is into peppa bloody pig so that's not too hard, just E really that's going to be hard. We have just about everything already.

waves to all Smile

Gauchita · 10/11/2011 11:23
Grin

Ninja, glad you've got Christmas presents mostly sorted now. So so glad DD3's school is much better than the previous one and that you're happy with them Smile It's such a relief, isn't it? I guess E and DD3 now have a casualty competition Grin No, not worth playing anything these days, you're right. Fortunately this will not be something we'll have to repeat again. The whole mess arose because I'm switching categories; I'm going from main holder to dependant. I just wish the bloody solicitor had told us about this before. Even if he didn't know, he could have found out with a phone-call, that's why we were paying him, right?

Snow, sorry about that Grin I thought you meant a trunki Blush I think June mentioned she was getting one for C, don't know if I'm getting that right though. M has one of those smart trikes when she was under a year old, and she'll be able to use it until she turns 3 (so they say). What's Brio? Oh, thanks for the in-flight tips Grin There's so much to think about, isn't there? How's the new house going? Have you ventured out for some wine? What a brilliant MIL you have!

Right, things are getting sorted slowly but surely here. I'm helping DH with some stuff here at home but nothing much. Thinking of more things I might need to get/sort before the trip. Dreading it still. I think I should force myself to feel different, though. Oh, and kicking myself for having to book the flight two days before D's second set of jabs as the surgery refuses to give them to him before we leave and now we have to wait until we're back.

Hope you're having a nice - albeit wet - day Juners Smile

June2009 · 10/11/2011 12:42

hello :) time is flying, was not well with food poisoning a couple of weeks ago and so there's been much to catch up on with work and housework since then, all back to normal now though.
Hope everyone is well, I will try and catch up today from my phone! x

June2009 · 10/11/2011 16:07

Wow gauchita so sorry about all this shit happening to you and now this Sad.
Are you actually staying with mil out there?? Can you come back as soon as it is sorted (it might not take that long since dh went there already to sort it out).
snow much travelling experience for you, you're an expert :) how long are you staying in oz? How's your relationship with dh now? Hope the new house move and a little time appart has done good.
zhen so sorry to hear about the neighbours, scary. You should hopefully have some hot water by now and some nice neighbours, what a nightmare to go through all this.
ninja so glad dd3 is enjoying her school better, worth fighting for last year all this stress :)
Still no further with potty training, I am lazy waiting for the signs that she is ready. (what are they again?) although i keep hearing of people who just did it without waiting for signs.

I think she has come down with a cold Sad better check it out.

snowwombat · 10/11/2011 19:46

Gosh june, you are always spot on with your timing of questions.
Currently we are enjoying our first open fire of the winter and searching for a big fire guard to keep z out of it.

Things have been v up and down with DH. Certainly more down than up.He was so awful to me on the way to a family outing last weekend that I made him take me home and I took the kids out by myself, and had a lovely time. We have had a discussion since and I am on a no tolerance to his shit.every nasty comment and tone of voice is pulled up. How the hell we are ever going to get better, I have no idea, but we both want it to work. Relate would probably help but we are far from any local service and without babysitters yet.
I have 3 weeks away. I hope he might miss us. The kids will miss him so much but thank god for Skype.
Your food poisoning must have been awful, are you 100% now?back to exercise?

gauchita will your family come to BA to see you? You cannot let your awful MIL make your time there more stressful than it is already. Will find some links to the tat I am collecting for A for the flight. Includes magazines, packet stickers, etch a sketch, with the pen attached Grin

ninja why the wail about Christmas shopping?sounds like you are getting v organised. So pleased DD3 is loving school, despite the accidents. E will get there with his chatting, I was amazed how quickly a improved, once he actually started Smile

Better post before I lose this

June2009 · 10/11/2011 23:58

snow Do you (or him) know why he is acting the way he is? I don't have any advice I'm afraid. People on here do recommend "Relate", does it have to be face to face and can it be done over the phone at all? (probably defies the point). {{hugs}}. When are you off? I take my hat off to you travelling with two kids on your own, I feel like a wuss in comparison :D
We bought a ladybird wheelybug when C was a year old, we got the smaller one and she didn't use it for a long time and by the time she started using it she was a little bit too big for it. She hardly ever goes on it now. (only when other kids visit and go on it, then she really wants it of course Hmm)
iirc ineed has one too and E was using it way earlier than C did and seemed to love it.
We haven't got carpet so it's working fine but agree with ninja that on carpet it probably doesn't work as well. I remember looking up on youtube before buying it.

LOVE open fires, we have one in the dining room which is only ever on at xmas. We also have a fireplace in the bedroom which is lush but we've only ever used it once, the room usually gets really warm from the downstairs' fire anyway so there is no real need for it iyswim. plus it's not really convenient from a safety point of view, you don't really want a burning fire while you're sleeping or not in the room so you need one that will be on for just a little bit :D Awww, I want to put it on now.... We're in an area where you have to use smokeless fuel so no romantic chunky wood logs unfortunately.

Yes i'm back exercising, never been or felt better to be honest, after going consistently for over a year and a half now, I've lost 8 stones in total which I know sounds ridiculous. I don't need to loose anymore, just trying to tone up my much damaged belly. (TMI alert, it looks like a 80yo belly all wrinkled with loose skin yuk.) I can see some improvement slowly though so I just keep at it. I know it'll never be how I want it to be really, but I'm sure with time I will accept that .
People keep coming up to me to tell me how much different I look which is really nice (there is generally a good friendly atmosphere in the gym, it's quite small).

ninja xmas shopping, well, we've just spent the evening getting stuff for kids we know. Every toy we've been looking at seems to be £25 this year...my bank account is not liking it so much.
I'm not going to make a huge effort for sil seeing that she never gets me anything, (is that mean? tit for tat? I just can't be bothered, made too much of an effort last year) I've got a couple of recipe books that I never used which I know she will like so I think this is it for this year. Mil got me a 99p diary last year, I'm thinking of getting her a pen. :)
They really piss me off sometimes. I won't forget them being on a stupid f***g diet on her bday when they were invited to ours for dinner, C had made cupcakes for her and me some really nice dessert (AND a healthy alternative) which were all declined (even the tomatoes in the salad if you remember). Of course they didn't stick to that nonsense diet. Hmm.
My dad is not coming over this year (it's boring for him he says...i am a bit offended by that), I was going to get him a suitcase, I guess that's not really adequate now :)

It is getting rather late and I should step away from the computer and go off to bed before we spend all our money on toys!!
I'll try and catch up some more this weekend x

Skillbo · 14/11/2011 21:49

Hello ladies

Sorry it has been so long since I posted - things are happening all over the place, aren't they!

Gauchita - are you in BA now or are you still travelling (not expecting a message by the way Smile)... what a pain in the arse but at least you get a nice hot Xmas which you must have missed.... Ive spent one down under and it was AMAZING!

Snow - another one enjoying a hot Xmas, do you have rellies down there - sorry if I've missed this but will be nice to hang out with some bods... here's hoping the time apart means you and DH get a chance to do some thinking... sounds like he's being an arse tbh but ot sounds like it's been a mad couple of months!

Ninja - sounds like you're incredibly organised to me... we've got most of J's bit as we're not going hard this year.. she'll be spoiled rotten anyway and we don't have much cash this year and with new lo on the way, it's going to be a crazy time anyway.. can't even decide what to do for Xmas day as have been invited for family but what if I'm still pregnant... or have a day old baby..minefield!

Anyways - am looking for a little bit of help as feel absolutely rotten today and am worried it might be food poisoning... does anyone know what sort of effect this can have at this point in pregnancy (have posted in pregnancy but not much response)... I'm 35 weeks and it could just be a bit of a bug as J was really ill over the weekend and if she felt anything like this, can't say I blame her for being really out of sorts!

Other than that, things all good here - just counting down. Might have to head back to bed... sorry for the post and run but hope all Juners are fab

snowwombat · 14/11/2011 22:49

Hi girls, having a good giggle at Buzzcocks tonight.does anyone else watch?I was such a music head and complete gig pig in my youth.
skillbo are you feeling ok?food poisoning symptoms should not cause any harm to the baby but just make sure you are well hydrated.if you are worried give your GP or midwife a call.
Unfortunately not going to stay in oz for Christmas.will fly back here in time for z's first birthday. Plenty of family and all my school/uni friends in oz.cannot wait to see them.
With ten day old dd last Christmas, we stayed at home,in laws came to us. DH and MIL did lunch, I made dessert. Was lovely all cuddled up with dd and A was in great form. Don't feel any pressure to commit to any plan, see how you feel closer to the time.
gauchita dear girl, how are your stress levels?I hv just decided that it really doesn't matter how the kids behave, the hosties are there to help. My best crew was an almost entirely male and gay one.couldn't hv been kinder. Just ask for help if they don't offer.
june I hv no idea why he is such an arse. True lack of respect for me at times. We hv to find someway of getting to counselling.
Nice week this week.A friend coming to stay a few days, and another friend for lunch Friday.
zhen you ok?
bigcar how is the Christmas shopping Grin. All wrapped now. I have sent my oz Christmas cards, did that before I knew I was going to be there. V proud. Of course, the UK ones will get sent Christmas eve most likely.

Better post before I lose this

Gauchita · 14/11/2011 23:14

Hi ladies
flash one-handed post!
Still here, flying on Sunday and still.dreading.it.
found a buggy bag big enough for D's xlr from Maclaren after days of search!
tried to fit everything in the two medium suitcases but no, I'll have to buy a big one (mum took mine).
Skillbo, sorry to hear you're not feeling well. I second Snow re. fluids, keep yourself well hydrated.
Snow, KLM crew were brilliant last time I flew with them, fingers crossed for the same this time around! Sorry to hear things with DH still not well. I'm not sure if I imagined this but I think I remember reading an NHS counselling leaflet that offered telephone sessions. Lack of respect is a no-no, I absolutely agree. ((hug)) Brew
Zhen, hope things are sorted now.
June, hope work is not too hectic for you.
Right, off to bed, insane days ahead, so many things to do/buy/pack!
Waves!

ZhenXiang · 15/11/2011 17:26

Hello everyone, I have internet again whoo hoo! Grin

Gauchita what a nightmare! I hope all the plans are going ok.

Skillbo hope you are feeling bit better now, just keep up your fluids and drink clear soups, eat plain rice with butter and mild foods that you can keep down.

Snow sorry to hear DH is being horrible again. You can see a Relate counsellor on your own first to get clear before working as a couple.

I sometimes have the problem with DH at the moment that when he is upset/angry/stressed out about the loss of his mum that it comes out sideways at me as he is suppressing the feelings and not dealing with them. He always recognises this and apologises afterwards, but it is truly horrible as I know why he is doing it, but he just doesn't see it at the time. People quite often take out things on the people close to them in my experience.

Could it be that DH's work culture is quite negative and stressful and therefore he feeds this back to you? Well done for calling him on his behaviour and not accepting it, you do not have to be his emotional punch-bag.

Ninja that you have already bought more than one Christmas present puts you head and shoulders above me in the organisation stakes, I only have N's sorted.

June2009 · 18/11/2011 00:06

gauchita will you have internet access out there? hope the trip goes as well as it can.
zhen good that you have internet again :D hope you're well!
ninja yeah your xmas post spurred us on too, bought almost everything now.
(not feeling so smug with my maxed out out credit card though...)
snow when are you off? Hope you're well. Have you gotten used to your new area yet?

Yesterday I went out with a friend of mine for a meal in the evening, that had not actually happened since I'd met dh over 13 years ago! It was really lovely :D

And tomorrow we're going out to a really nice restaurant for dh's b'day, can't wait to be there, it's a busy weekend ahead and I should really be sleeping, just wanted to catch up quickly and say Hi!

take care juners!

snowwombat · 19/11/2011 19:17

gauchita thinking of you for tomorrow.I hope the flight goes as well as it can. I hope your MIL is kind and the visas are processed quickly.
zhen how is your new place?how you feeling?
skillbo when are you finishing work?how are you feeling?
ninja SCD time Grin if I can get the kids to sleep. DH at work,so a.chance to watch it without his whinging
june so pleased about your two evenings out. Wonderful!hope you are enjoying tonight with DH

Gauchita · 19/11/2011 19:59

Hi ladies,
Flash post. I'm leaving tomorrow at 6am, so off to the airport at 2ish. Very stressed about it, I can't help it. It'll be a challenge. M's coughing a lot, she was diagnosed with childhood asthma on Thursday Sad Not liking her inhaler and not using it properly yet
June, enjoy your evening! Smile
Snow, all the best for your trip as well. Not a chance in hell I'd be staying with MIL. Luckily I'm staying with a friend and then maybe at DH's dad, but it's so far away from the city I might be staying put at my friend's. We'll see.
Skillbo, how are you feeling? HOpe you're all better now.
Zhen, hope everything's sorted by now.
Ninja, wow, wonderfully organised for Christmas Smile
Right ladies, off to bed as I'll have broken sleep tonight. I'll post from there without a doubt. Please think of us for a peaceful journey, cross your fingers, I'll certainly cross mine! Smile
Waves!

snowwombat · 19/11/2011 20:04

gauchita sweetheart, big hugs.poor M, has she got a blocked nose too or just the cough?I just got some lollipops and a saline nasal spray for the flight, wish I could drop some into you.thinking of you my dear.hope you get some sleep tonight.

TheNinjaGooseIsOnAMission · 20/11/2011 17:46

happy travels gauchita!!!!! Smile

snowwombat · 20/11/2011 23:13

gauchita hope you have made it in one piece. Just checked our flight and it looks like we have the basinette. Thank god.
ninja What did you think of SCD result? Holly needs to show a little more personality I think. Russel was such fun, despite the lack of dancing.

Does anyone have any apps (android) they recommend for the kids?A loves my phone and apart from medicinal intervention I need ideas for good ones to keep him busy on the flight

Hope you have all had a lovely weekend. V misty and chilly here. Fire been going since the early afternoon. In laws arrive tom arvo and have two local mums coming for coffee in the morning. Hoping I might make a friend. Better go tidy up.

June2009 · 23/11/2011 20:02

gauchita hope you're ok, saw you've been online on fb, let us know how you're getting on :D
snow how did tea go with your friends? Is it your mil who is lovely? Hope you have a good time with ils and they like your new place!
When are you off to Australia?

I seem to be very hectic but not actually achieving very much.
My cleaner is away for a couple of weeks and it is showing, I like my place clean and tidy so this is my idea of hell.
C is doing half a day at nursery everyday now and it was supposed to help with work but suddenly I find all this other stuff/paperwork to do (which is not getting done either.) Hmm.
Haircut tomorrow (that type of thing may be the reason why I'm not getting anything done...;)) but it's dh's bday tomorrow and I have to stop looking like a tramp :D then it'll be my bday mid-december, then xmas... db is coming to visit but dad isn't. If I am honest it is upsetting me a little bit that he basically can't be bothered enough to make the trip but it is a blessing in disguise as he is quite hardwork to entertain...still, xmas with family yadadada, I would have been very willing to put up with his moods...

What are you all doing for xmas? ninja Is xmas at yours with everyone? (sounds like fun :D)

Does anyone know if vene is still touring France?

Gauchita · 25/11/2011 09:42

Morning all!

June, I know the feeling Grin Doing lots of stuff but always having the feeling you're not achieving much Grin What type of haircut did you get? A different one from the one you had or just a litte bit of trimming? Happy birthday to your DH! I remembered yours and mine shared the month Grin DH's bday was last week. I'm sure Vene has been back for a while; her DD goes to school so she'd have to be back by September. Mmm Xmas for me? On a plane on Xmas Eve flying home Grin That's if I get our passports on time, of course Hmm Otherwise my flight is cancelled and I have to buy new tickets What do you have planned? At home with your DB? I saw some pics on FB of C on a wedding with you guys, she looked so cute! Smile

Snow, when are you flying? Thank you for your kind thoughts Smile We got a cot on the long flight, thank God. It was 12hs and I don't know what I'd have done otherwise. DS likes his sleep so he basically fed and slept most of the time Smile I have an iPhone but I have no idea whether apps work for all smartphones or not Blush I went to the main menu, typed kids and searched for things M could like. She LOVES puzzles so we have one called Tozzle, which comes on a lite version but the full one is only £1.79 I think so a bargain for around 30 puzzles!

Ninja, how are things going, you mega-organised Christmas lady? Wink

Right, we arrived here on Friday morning. The journey was a challenging one, I won't lie. A very idiot goofy gentleman from KLM tagged the buggy wrong and instead of putting a pink label for me to get it at every gate, he tagged it for my second stop! So when I got to Ams I had a wait and no buggy. This was after boarding the plane and waiting for 1.30hs for the fog to clear. M was a dream, thank God. We had the same wait on the second flight so when I got to my last stop I had to run, again buggy-less. Then we arrived in BA but all of our luggage didn't Hmm and by now I could only think of the huge elephant that had peed on me Grin I had to file the complaint, etc etc and I only got them at 8.30pm on Tue.

It's scorching hot here so clothes were a challenge those two days but my very kind friends (both the one that picked us up and the one that is putting us up in her home) helped a lot.

Then on Wednesday all hell broke loose thanks to insane MIL. I tell you, ladies, I'm in living hell here, as I suspected all along. The basket-case called the friend with whom we're staying to tell her she wanted to see her grandchildren Confused After my friend told her that I had already spoken to her on Tuesday night and had arranged to meet up on Thursday-Friday she told her no, that she wanted to see them that same day, that I was keeping the children from her. I never swear ladies but WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK!!! I had very kindly spoken to her on Tuesday and told her that my appointment with the embassy was on Thursday so that day worked for me as this was a very stressful process and I had stuff to do on Wednesday. How is that keeping the children "hostages" as she literally told my friend? She kept ringing my friend's flat over and over, as in 10+ times. She is insane, and I mean that literally, not just as a comment. She is insane.

As my kind friend had told me very politely she didn't want to be in the middle when I found out MIL had called her I talked to DH and asked him to stop this fecking soap opera for the sake of the 31 days I still had to stay here. He sent her an email and called her but she only got more delusional about the whole thing. I feel helpless, ladies. I'm not at home, I'm staying with friends, not even with family, with two little ones on my own and I have to put up with this completely unfounded harassment Sad I talked to DH's sister for her (and MIL) to come yesterday and they did. I only asked her to please make sure that if her mother brought up a subject she stopped her as I didn't want M to see a screaming monster. She of course agreed and I guess she spoke to her before coming because she didn't say a word. M really liked DH's sister, not so much MIL, as she was always in her face and being so loud to her, M took a few steps back each time.

29 days to go ladies

Hope you're not too cold over there and that you have a great beginning of the weekend.

Waves!

June2009 · 25/11/2011 23:38

Omg gauchita your mil is worse than mine I think, that's quite an achievement. Crazy old bat!!! I don't blame you for swearing... Keep strong and if she is too forceful or crazy then remember that you have control and you don't have to meet up with her and she has to be nice to you or she won't see the children basically, simple as that. Don't let her wind you up. xxx lots of hugs too.

The wedding was one of our nct friend and it was great :)
C is cute on these pics, i look at her when she's asleep and i get all emotional thinking that one day she'll leave home and go to uni (or whatever) ... (pathetic i know :)) .

I just have a boring haircut, always look the same but shorter, sometimes i'll put a couple of layers at the front but not this time, all one length. Still, it was nice to go to the hairdresser!

My cleaner has not been in as regularly lately and is off for a couple of weeks and i'm finding it hard to find the time to look after a toddler/work/ train/ and do the housework (dh does not help at all with housework). And I really like the place clean and tidy, the bedsheets changed an the clothes ironed... Doesn't go with going to bed early :)!!!

Take care junersxxx

ZhenXiang · 26/11/2011 23:11

Wow Gauchita, she sounds a complete loon! Glad you got there safe despite the buggy and luggage issues. Hope that MIL will back off and allow you some space for the rest of your time there.

Snow hope preparation for Oz is going well, I am still about 10 generations back phone and technology wise so haven't a clue about apps I am afraid.

June if it makes you feel any better my house is chaos as DH has started decorating so I have piled up stuff everywhere and dust all over my bedroom as the he left the bedroom door open when sanding the hallway woodwork grrr!

Ninja, Vene, Skillbo, Alloverit hope you and your families are well and the kids aren't plaguing you with too many Christmas requests for every crappy toy they see advertised that they will play with once and never take out again.

We are decorating. I went to my dad's last night to give DH a chance to gloss the woodwork without N having to breathe in fumes. Had a lovely walk today and fed four swans who were a little bit too close for my liking.

Am now back home relaxing trying to keep our 9 week old kitten from destroying the one clean and tidy room in the house whilst DH is out having a pint or two at an ale festival in a local pub Envy as reward for working all night and day decorating. Oh to be able to drink a whole beer again [wistful emoticon].

TheNinjaGooseIsOnAMission · 28/11/2011 16:07

afternoon Smile

june, we'll have xmas day here with just us and boxing day at mil with dh's family or some of them at any rate. I'm hoping we won't be there too long as all the fag smoke really gets to me, I always used to be fine but now my eyes start itching, my nose runs and I cough a lot, can you become allergic after all these years Hmm Sorry about your dad, he was a bit brutal with his reasoning for not coming for christmas wasn't he! I did lol at your mils present idea, 10p bic one will it be Grin A belated happy birthday to your dh, did you do something nice? As gauchita said, C looks so gorgeous, all that lovely curly hair.

snow, have you gone yet? Will you be able to watch strictly over there?! Can't believe some of the decisions recently, Wembley was good wasn't it, poor old Jason, made up for it this week though! Your right about Holly, think that's why she ends up so low down after the viewer vote. My phone only runs an old version of android so I can't get any decent games but there are loadsssss! How did tea with the locals go? Still not that many clear words from E, pleased to hear A is doing so well Smile

gauchita, I can't believe how big that boy of yours is getting, he looks so grown up, he's definitely changed from looking like a new born! A belated happy birthday to your dh as well, how's he managing on his own, any red stuff in with the white shirts yet Grin I guess work for him is busier this time of year? Your trip sounds an absolute nightmare, lost luggage, loony ils, how exactly are you staying sane?! If only the bloody solicitor hadn't mucked it up and you'd have gone with dh it would have been so much easier You'll have to come at let off some steam here and IGNORE her, it'll be over soon, it'll be over soon, it'll be over soon . . .

zhen, you'll have to put a photo of your kitten on your profile for me to awwww over Grin what is she like? Dd2 and ds1 aren't really into toys any more, they just want really expensive stuff that leaves you with nothing to show for it so they have really small stuff while dd3 and E often have massive piles of stuff that actually costs less. There seems to be a lot of Jack Wills stuff on dd2s list, she's already got her phone [argggghhhhh] Are you having a big family christmas this year?

a bit more christmas shopping done today and last week so hopefully the bulk is done now although definitely not wrapped and ready to go! Dd3 managed to break one of mils many crystal bowls last week Shock so will have to look for a replacement for her I think, I've been terrified one of them will do this for years as she has so much just there to touch. We went to visit dd1 at uni yesterday, was lovely although we did have to go to asda to stock up a few bits for her, almost the end of term!

waves to all Smile

Hey it's lovely to hear from you zhen and ninja
totally can empathise with decoratin and the dust sanding wood creates, complete nigjtmare, you'll need to wipe down your walls after as well (ideally before varnishing). I bet it looks fab after!

We're officially potty training, day 4 and it's frustrating at times. Im picking C ip from nursery in a minute, curious to see how she fared today. (2 accidents and 2 wees in the potty yesterday there, better than the 7 accidents the day before, who knew they go to the toilet so much????
She's fine at home and at baby groups but ends up asking me to take her to the toilet 10 times . (and not actually weeing).

thanks for the compliment on C's curls, it is lovely :)

Fag smoke... Horrid, i couldn't cope with it. Dh smokes, yuk yuk yuk not in the house though.
you can get allergic all of a sudden, happened to me woth dog hair 4 years ago.

Time to go.... Bbl

Morning ladies! (Well, it's still morning here Grin)

June, all the best for the potty training days. M seems to have gone backwards big time (who can blame her after all this!). She has gone from going to the potty for every poo to pooing her nappies again I think it started about two weeks ago after a hard poo that was obviously uncomfortable for her and it's as if she wants to forget about the whole pooing issue If I see her and I take her to the toilet (no potty here) she goes, but the other day there were a few tears so I think I should just let it go, and see how it goes once we're back home and life goes back to normal I hate fag smell as well yuck.

Zhen, awww another one voting for a cat pic! Grin How cute... Hope DH finishes working on the house soon and that the mess is contained as much as possible Smile How's the bump? How are you feeling?

Ninja, oh man, I had forgotten about DH's laundry abilities inabilities He told me this morning he had gone to work later as he had stayed cleaning the house (for the first time since I left Hmm Shock) Work is really busy this time of the year for him, yes, especially as all the Christmas parties have already started. I'm ignoring that who shan't be named as much as I can, believe me Grin Only 23 days to go!! How lovely that you went to visit DD1 to uni Smile Hope you find a not-to-expensive replacement for MIL's bowl

Snow, if you're already in OZ hope you're having a great time.

The heat here has been verging on unbearable. 33 degrees and v v humid Shock Thank God we had a thunderstorm last night and today we're having 16 degrees only. D struggles with heat a bit bless him, as he has so much skin Grin

V tired trying to cope with both on my own. M is having difficult days on the obedience front and I find myself trying to keep the flat tidy and picking up after her all the time. This is a single and child-less couple's flat so the least thing I want is for them to come home after a full day to find this like a war zone. I'm going to bed after the DC as I'm so tired Grin and I don't mind. My dear friend and her BF always have plans to go for dinner, gym or birthdays, etc, so they aren't around much. I'm basically counting down the days, making plans to see some friends and praying for the documents to come soon.

Waves!
