Gauchita · 29/09/2011 23:29

Hi all!

This is going to be a lousy catch-up Grin as I've been reading and following the thread thanks to my phone (dongle was a bit of a rip-off, they said it'd last quite a bit if I was careful not to use Skype or download music/videos, etc... LIES!) but anyway.

Typing one handed now as D woke up... Move went well, massive number of things to do still. how i wish I could drill!! dh has to put up curtains, mirrors, bathroom cabinets and shelves and it's so much I wish I could help. IKEA delivered so much stuff today... our house will look like the latest catalogue Grin

Right, back with two hands Grin So much stuff to do and to assemble but at the same time so much happiness with the house move Smile M took it really well, I was quite surprised actually. She loves the house, the amount of space around her Grin and especially the garden... Which reminds me, having a garden is absolutely brilliant for things like drying all your laundry on a nice day (besides the regular uses a garden has of course Grin) BUT, and that is a huge BUT, with it come all sorts of bugs

Man, I knew that would happen... we've already seen a few spiders and I'm paranoid all the time, especially as our carpet is chocolate in colour and I'm afraid I won't see them

So, busy days here. Mum is leaving on Monday and I seriously don't know how real life will be Grin up to now whenever M needed me I just plonked D on my mum's arms... new strategies will need to be thought of in the next few days I think Grin

Shameful me me me post, I know.

Snow, your move is next week or this weekend, right? All the best, hope it goes smoothly.

Zhen, glad to hear MS is getting a bit better. Will you find out the sex of the baby in the scan?

Skillbo, so glad to hear J is doing better in her own bed Smile it's such a relief when they start sleeping better, isn't it? M just started about 3 months ago and still wakes up once most nights, maybe at around 5 or 6, like June said C does, and asks for milk and then falls asleep again for a couple more hours. She used to come to our bed at that time but since my mum came she's been staying with her. Let's see what happens as of next week Grin

June, well done you girl! So glad you enjoyed it and you did so so well, we're all proud of you Wink Any more dates with DH in the near future?

Ninja, how was DD1's birthday? I can only imagine her face when you said you'd pop by Wink I saw the before and after pics of the campers Grin ha! Brilliant!

Right, it's late, I need to go to bed.

Waves!

TheNinjaGooseIsOnAMission · 02/10/2011 18:03

afternoon all Smile lovely weather today, so warm, makes up a tiny bit for our rotten summer!

gauchita, huge yay for the new house!!!!!!! Hope all goes well tomorrow for your mum going, could you not lock her in a cupboard and not let her out Grin Thanks, dd1's birthday went well, probably all the better for me not turning up Grin Haven't heard from her much as they've not sorted their internet connection yet despite weeks worth of reminding and can't get on skype. Did I read that D had smiled, or I could very easily have misunderstood?!

june, I'm getting used to having E in with us, too hot right now though! He does the restless starfish so dh and I tend to end up right on the edge of the bed with him splayed out in the middle Hmm C has beautiful hair, none of mine have had much hair at that age, probably a good thing!

skillbo, I love happystreet, I'm sure she'll love it, my older ones still play with it on occassion, not that they'd admit it Grin Camping is so not my thing, that's why they're in scouts! You'll have to sign J up for beavers then for when she's 5 1/2. How much longer do you have at work?

zhen, hope all goes with your scan Smile

snow, how's the move going?

E has done his first 2 mornings at preschool, no tears at all Smile He did really well and enjoyed himself. He's already managed to get in the accident book, bumped his head on the edge of a sink, he likes playing in the toilets! Apparently he had them all in stitches on thursday, didn't find out what he'd done, not sure this is a good thing Grin

so who watched the dancing then? Lulu - such a disaaaaaaster, what was she thinking!!! Russell Grant made me laugh, he can move though, Anita Dobson did well, she looked like she was enjoying herself. Lots of sparkles and pretty dresses, much nicer than some we've seen before Smile

waves to all Smile

Skillbo · 02/10/2011 21:46

Hi all - hope you're not all sat in a sweat like I am, feels hotter than all summer did at the moment but think it's going to break in a few days so should try and take full advantage!

Guachita - so glad to hear the move went well and M is loving it. I can just imagine how the space is wonderful for her - we're trapped in a smallish flat and the thought of a garden and room for J to run around is a bit of a pipe dream at the mo, but we'll get there! Yay for lots of Ikea stuff - one of my favourite shops and looking round I can see 3 bits of furniture from there without having to moveSmile.. sorry to hear about the possibility of bugs but perhaps it's the weather making them a bit frisky? How's D doing?

Ninja - great news about E, hope you've been spending your time wisely (read that as sitting down a bit, perhaps catching some z's, drinking lots of hot drinks (or cold ones in this weather!!) and generally taking it nice and easy for the first time in years Grin I was watching the dancing - and am more in love with Jason than ever (have adored him since I was quite little but he seemed to be having so much fun, can't help but like him even more!).. Agree that Lulu and Nancy were just dreadful but found myself liking Holly and thought she did well as first one out. Our telly broke on Saturday though so not sure if we'll be able to watch ITT during the week - and might have to rely on MIL to help us watch the actual programme at the weekends!!

J might be sleeping better but that's because she is sleeping on the floor.. I put her into her bed and when I check on her just before I hit the hay (and without hearing a thing through the monitor) she is lying, spread eagled on the floor! Not sure if this is a problem as she seems to be sleeping well (and she is on a duvet which we put beside the bed in case she fell out) but not sure if this is a bad habit or not? Tempted to leave her as she's out for the count, just not sure.... any advice??

Right - best get off... am about to melt with this laptop on my lap Grin.. hope everyone has a wonderful week!

June2009 · 02/10/2011 22:29

hey skillbo that has happened to C and I think I picked her up and put her back in the bed, however one lunchtime I just let her cry to sleep for a few minutes (she was knackered) and when I got upstairs to check she was sleeping on the floor on the landing. took a pic and left her there Grin for fear of waking her up more than anything else, it had been hard to get her to sleep in the first place, she was fine and she hasn't done it since.
ninja I can't take the sharing the bed anymore, I have ended up too many times having to go to the spare room where by the time I have got my glasses, alarm/phone, water etc I'm too awake tog et back to sleep.
I really have to nip this in the bud and be strict.
C does have lovely curly hair, and she lets me brush it now, almost everyday so it's not a tangle birds nest anymore yay!
Now onto teeth, she never lets me do it, and rarely wants to do it herself, any tips???

C ran away from a restaurant we were eating at today, I was just packing our bags and told dh to hold her for 5 minutes and he didn't. She just ran off on the pavement and although I saw her straight away and got up and ran to grab her she was still going fast and got outside before me.
So scary I was shaking when I finally got hold of her and cried all the way home. (It was late and she was tired so put her straight in the car seat to leave.)

snow have you moved?

So tired, bedtime for me, take care guys, hopefully I can catch up better this week!

snowwombat · 03/10/2011 14:15

hi girls, thanks for thinking of me. move on sat. chaos here.

Had lovely holiday, back yest, lots of beach time. kids were fab.

work busy this week but no trips thank god. Trying to pack up house single handed, marking my place and be back soon. Hope you are all ok.

ZhenXiang · 04/10/2011 22:51

Hey everyone :)

June well done on making such good time in your half marathon, truly inspiring stuff, I have a gym membership but I am not even managing to get there once a week at the moment Blush.

Glad C is letting you brush her hair. N also has long curly hair being mixed race although her hair very soft for mixed race hair because DH is mixed race with Syrian and Venezualan blood and it is more like curly western hair. I tend to comb through slightly damp hair, easier and less tangles than dry using a water spray bottle on mist setting with a small amount of olive oil added to the water (learnt it from black hair book). Then I use a hair cream to condition the hair before styling such as carrot oil creme for kids by soft 'n' pretty or Kinky Wavy Style and Shine. I find if I plait the hair it stays in better condition and gets less tangly so DD has either plaits or corn rows most days now.

Gauchita glad the move went well, how nice to be able to fill your new place with new stuff! Pleased for you that M has settled in well, she will adjust I am sure when your mum goes, although you may just have to all bundle in bed together unless you have the patience to let her settle back to sleep in her own bed.

Ninja N does the restless starfish ninja stylie with kicks to the head and all sorts. She has been having a few nightmares recently since our 'lovely' Hmm neighbours kicked off again with their loud music and threats so has ended up in our bed a few times. The last time I got so fed up of being booted in the face I went and slept in the spare bed in her room leaving DH to field his footballing daughter.

Glad E has taken to his preschool, in the accident book already! Grin

That will be N when she goes to preschool for sure, last week she walked into the doorframe (wasn't looking), banged her face on a slide and managed to fall of the top of our inflatable double mattress which was propped up against the sofa waiting for DH to deflate it (she was using it as a slide and had climbed to the top and fallen down the side of the sofa!).

Skillbo glad to hear J is sleeping better even if it is on the floor! N is a wriggler and ends up back to front and upside down, I just move her back to more sensible position, if she is deep in sleep she rarely wakes.

Snow glad to hear you had a nice holiday, hope you are well rested now. Good luck with the packing and moving.

Went for scan today, all well and as I thought I am having another girl :) DH is really happy as he wanted another little girl.

Popped in to see FIL on way back from scan. DH's grandad passed away a few days ago and his Dad has taken it quite hard. DH is ok, but it is a bit of a difficult time so soon after losing his mum.

Gauchita · 05/10/2011 10:41

Marking my place for later!

ZhenXiang · 08/10/2011 23:07

Gauchita · 08/10/2011 23:34

Grin Zhen, you made me laugh Grin

Hi all! I marked my place and then didn't manage to get here until now Blush I'll try and do a decent catch-up Grin

Zhen, sorry to hear about DH's granddad, these must be hard days for him. Huge congratulations! Fantastic news, another girl! Smile Are you back at work full time now?

Ninja, glad to hear E's doing well at nursery, how are those cuppas going then? Wink hot, I would guess! The number of cups of tea I make daily that just go cold Grin I think what you saw on FB was when D turned 1 month, although you're right, he HAS indeed smiled Grin He started doing it about 10 days ago, it's ubber cute!

Snow, how did the move go? Hope it was smooth. Glad to hear the holidays went well and you enjoyed them Grin

Skillbo, man, was it hot! I felt I was melting, and I'm not pg anymore! I think we can safely say summer is definitely gone now Grin It's miserable here, and it's been so for a few days now, rain and wind, nothing else.

Bless J sleeping on the floor in the middle of the night. M now has a new bed and as DH hasn't got round to putting up her toddler rail we've put a spare mattress next to it, she moves a lot and would end up falling as well otherwise Grin The thing is, M doesn't go on sleeping if she falls, she wakes up and screams Grin We love IKEA, and yes, now the house looks like a page from the catalogue Grin

June, (hug) that must have been so scary for you Sad M has legged it in the past but never onto the street (up to now!) so I can only imagine the fright she must have given you! These days she's really testing my patience. The other day I opened the front door to put some things in the bin room and she went out (no shoes on) and started walking on the drive... as soon as I moved to go and fetch her she legged it! It was worse if I ran after her so I just told her I'd wait for her at the door. Eventually she came back but Angry

Right, we think we might be finishing the basics tomorrow... it's taken ages but today we have toilet paper holders in place Grin there are a few blinds still to put up and some towel rails... but it's getting better.

M cried A LOT when my mum left on Monday, she was devastated. My mum cried just as much as soon as she saw M crying... Life with 2 on my own has started now Grin it's not too bad, although i think it'll be some time before I venture out on my own with both...

Right, off to watch x factor on ITV player and then to bed!

Waves!

June2009 · 10/10/2011 10:51

Heya, :)

just remembered I had downloaded the mumsnet ap on my phone, very convenient!

I did another race this weekend, 10k for the local theatre. There were very few people there and it was muddy but it was a lot of fun nevertheless. C really enjoyed coming to see mummy running :)

Ive incrased the amount of work i do and hence the amount of time C spends at nursery, from next week she does a half day everyday ( sometimes AM sometimes PM).

We're going away at the weekend with our nct friends (centerparcs) really looking forward to it!! Sharing a house etc, lots of fun for everyone.

Right gotta make appointment to gp to renew my pill. Periods still not regular which i ls a pain in the butt but at least this pill has not turned me into a monster!

AllOverIt · 10/10/2011 11:34

Hello Juners! Hope you're all well!

June2009 · 10/10/2011 12:05

alloverit get back in here :) how is it going? New venture etc?

AllOverIt · 10/10/2011 12:10

All is well! DD is off to preschool for two mornings a week after half term, DS now in full-time school (though off poorly today with high temp sigh). We're picking up our new puppy in 6 weeks. DH enjoying new job as a Deputy Head and it's only down the road so we see more of him (yey!). I now run my own business from home selling cards for Phoenix Trading and I'm LOVING it! That's about it!

I pick up on most of you who are on Facebook so I know most of the news. Sorry it's been so long!

Skillbo · 10/10/2011 21:22

Helloooo - it all seemed very quiet but nice to see some news..

Guachita - hope it's all going well with the new pad still, sounds like you've got it pretty much all sorted out! Did your mum get back ok... must have been hard for you all as I guess you don't get to see her much (outside of Skype) - lovely that her and M got on so well. Am a hormonal mess at the moment and so cry at the drop of a hat and the thought of them both a bit sniffly at the airport... well, I am a but wussy!

AllOverIt - name change or have we not met Grin... sounds like exciting times at yours too!

Zhen - another little girl, am a little Envy although am very excited for a little boy now, was slightly sad at the time! Hopefully you're feeling much better now though! Had to Grin when you mentioned how accident prone N is - J isn't too bad but just doesn't look where she is going so is forever walking into, walking over or just flat out tripping over everything!

J getting there with her sleep although still not great... awake at random times but I'm getting better at going in, soothing her and then leaving her to it, instead of hanging about for ages just in case! Had to get up and watch her sleep for a little bit yesterday - goodness knows whats wrong with me!!

June - congrats an another race completed, you're really making me feel a bit slack about the total lack of exercise I am putting in at the moment! I've also managed to put on 10 kilos so far this pregnancy (Shock) and am only at 30 weeks! Am very intrigued by Zumba though so might have to look into once DS has popped out... although am nervous about how my pelvic floor will stand up to it (sorry, TMI!)

J's imagination seems to have gone into overdrive at the moment (so sweet) - even her jigsaw puzzle pieces are having conversations and making plans to go to the park! I was off sick from work today so was the first time in a while I'd just sat and watched her play (we're normally quite busy at the weekends and during the week, she gets a bit overexcited when I get home!)... so lovely!

Right - hope everyone elses weeks started a bit better than mine and catch up soon! x

June2009 · 10/10/2011 23:05

heya skillbo hope you feel better soon, alloverit was ineed. I do that, get up and go watch C sleeping, I can't help it. (and most definitely not pregnant :))
It is the best feeling just watching them make up their own little stories isn't it. C makes long sentences and god knows where she gets those complicated words from. The other morning, 6:30 and she asked for milk, so I put her in our bed, went to get milk and gave it to her in bed. she finished it and went: "that was delicious thank you" and nodded off to sleep leaving me Grin. LOL.

gauchita How's life with 2 now that your mum is away? I hope she got back ok, it's hard when relatives go back home, always gets me down. How's your sis and her little one? Is the house kinda sorted now? (have you got some help? it would really ...well, "help") We moved every year or so with dh until we bought our house and it always took us forever to get rid of boxes...

snow Are you in chaos? :) I really did not like the upheaval that came with moving, can't imagine doing that with children as well. I can just imagine the sabotage, you taking stuff out of boxes, A putting it back in or all over the floor, Z grabbing things and trying to eat them. Do you have family or friends where you have moved to? How's the garden/kitchen working out?

vene are you still travelling in France?

thegoose how's things? Is E getting used to his room/bed? What colour did you go for in the end for the walls? It must be nice to have a little bit of time to yourself finally when E goes nursery. We decided to put C a little bit more so she'll be doing 5 half days instead of 3 from next week. (sometimes in the morning, sometimes in the afternoon.) Work is busier and it was just getting really stressfull trying to make deadlines, answer urgent emails and phonecalls, chasing people for money!!! etc. At least with a half day every day I will be able to keep up better.
glad dd3 is happy in her new school, is dd1 still at uni? is it holiday soon?

alloverit nice to hear from you :( glad the new venture is working out good for you. Do you know what has brought the temperature on??

zhen congrats on another little girl :D thanks for the hair tips, never thought of putting olive oil but it makes sense. sorry to hear about fil :( hope dh stays strong for him. For the gym maybe try and find a couple of motivating classes (bodycombat, bodypump, spinning?), also talk to the trainers, they might do some kind of program where they will do one or three sessions with you for free and tell you what to do on your own (they call it "on track program" at Esporta). I had so much weight to loose I didn't really have a choice but get off my arse, if you find a good class, a good trainer, it makes you stick to it and go back for more. Watch your diet also, very important, eat small portions 5 times a day, around 1200 calories per day (not less, starving yourself does not work in the long run) switch to wholemeal rice, pasta, sweet potatoes I even order it in restaurants now and so far they've always been able to make it for me. Good luck x

aww, I'd like to catch up some more but absolutely knackered and really need to sleep, someone will be up 6:15 and it's not dh :D

Take care juners!

TheNinjaGooseIsOnAMission · 11/10/2011 10:24

morning all Smile

skillbo, I used to find my dd1 asleep all over the place at this sort of age Hmm I always just used to put her back in her bed, didn't want her getting into the habit of thinking a bed wasn't for sleeping. She grew out of it eventually, her favourite place was the little landing where the stairs turn, she'd creep down really quietly with her duvet and you'd almost fall over her when you went up if you didn't have the light on Grin Hope you're feeling better.

june, what a fright C gave you, it's soooo frightening when they do that! What we need is a few more hours in the day, that would solve the problem with sleep and work, do you think they have that on ebay, must look Grin I'm sorry, I totally missed you were running again, well done you, will go off to investigate Blush You obviously have a very well mannered child with C there, how cute Grin Enjoy your weekend.

snow, hope all went well with the move

zhen, congratulations, another little girl, how lovely Smile E has made it into the accident book twice now despite only having done 4 sessions, he fell in the toilets and banged his head, think they may be starting to see a theme here Grin Sorry to hear about dhs grandad, how tough on all of you, sympathies Sad

gauchita, yay for D, I wasn't sure I'd understood properly Smile Your house must look lovely, mine just looks like a real hotch potch of styles as we've bought some stuff ourselves, had stuff bought and given and inherited stuff, it's not the best of looks, especially once the dcs have added their own finishing touches! Hope your mum got back ok, that must have been hard, she's been a massive help.

alloverit, good to see you back, I'm on fb now, will go look for you Smile E started preschool a couple of weeks ok, hope E has a fab time. It's good to hear things are going well, what puppy are you getting?

totally forgot it was preschool photos this morning, oops, at least he looked reasonable when I left him, Grin just hope they wipe his face first as he has a cold and is a little snotty! Mind you, will be good for bargaining powers when he's older if it's mildly embarrassing [evil mother] Sleeping is getting marginally better but he still spent best part of 2 nights in with us last week, he wakes at the slightest of noises.

waves to all Smile

TheNinjaGooseIsOnAMission · 11/10/2011 14:03

almost forgot strictly! So what did you think? I think Nancy or Lulu should have gone, they were by far the worst dancers. Can't see why they keep saying Harry is so good, I think there's better, unless of course you take into account Bruno and Craig liking younger men Grin Bruno says what he thinks doesn't he! Russell is my current favourite Grin

Skillbo · 11/10/2011 21:42

Just a quick dash in - agree Ninja, Lulu or Nancy should've gone but wasn't that enamoured of Edwina either so that's all good! Still loving Jason though but can see the appeal with Russell!! Bet E looked sweet in his piccy, they can't help it at their age Grin

June - will definitely bear in mind your healthy tips as will need all the help I can get the way I'm expanding! Hope you managed to get a good snooze last night..

Right - off for a nice relaxing shower and early night x

Gauchita · 12/10/2011 15:03

Hi all!

Skillbo, hope you're feeling better. Weather here is a real mess, rainy and windy, quite cold as well! How cute J talking to her jigzaw puzzles Smile M will also talk to anything that will listen! Grin Glad to hear the whole bed thing is improving. I can't help checking her if I wake up during the night if she hasn't woken up, I guess I'm too used to her waking up several times... now that she's not doing that as much I worry Hmm Grin

Ninja, I'm not a strictly fan but I enjoy watching it when I catch it on TV. No idea who everyone is this year, might have to do some research Grin The names don't ring a bell at all, except for Jason Grin Glad to hear things are improving wrt E and his bed as well Smile The house has some new stuff as we went from a 2-bed flat to a house with lots of room, and there's still echo all around Grin We also put M in a proper bed and freecycled her cot, we got a proper wardrobe as the one we had before went to the "guest room" Grin, which my Dbro is going to use in January when he comes to visit. It's exciting to get new stuff but v tiring as well, poor DH is sick of assembling stuff Grin

June, well done you on your race. You look absolutely amazing, btw, girl! You've come such a long way and you've done fantastically well, you should be very proud of yourself Smile Hope work is not too bad these days. Almost rid of boxes, although there are still a few around

Alloverit, how's DS doing? Hope he's feeling better. I'm mostly up to date thanks to FB as well Grin

Snow, snowed in between boxes? Grin Hope not! How's the house? Have you walked around the neighbourhood? I haven't yet Grin I don't even know where my nearest post-office is! Although I've already been to my GP surgery Hmm

Right, hard days at the Argie household. M is v challenging these days. Her behaviour has changed so much I can barely recognise her at times Sad She still wants to slap D whenever she gets a chance. I'm usually good at preventing her from doing it if I'm around, and I don't leave D alone with her but that means I'm always with D on tow and it can be exhausting going up and down the stairs all the time thinking where M is and what she's up to. She's fussier than ever with her food, she won't do anything you ask her to do, and will do anything you tell her not to do I'm exhausted. Last night I begged DH to come home early to do bath-time and bed-time with her as I just couldn't even think anymore. I started a thread here in parenting asking for some advice, some great tips have come up, thankfully. I'll put them in practice and beg to God hope they help. She's always been so sweet and gentle, I feel like a monster has eaten her!

New HV came home this morning to meet us. She gave me some leaflets and info about the services in the area, it was quite useful.

Waves!

snowwombat · 13/10/2011 12:56

oh girls, it is utter chaos here so my apologies for being absent. I will catch up on the thread soon.

gauchita you are not alone. A is a terror. Although he has stopped attacking his sister and biting other children (well most of the time) he is a tantrumming, defiant monster. This moring he had a tantrum becasue the porridge was still in his bowl and he wanted it somewhere else. God only knows where Confused

ninja I am now humming various theme tunes from western shows. thanks for aking me laugh. Wine definitely needed here. I want ot watch strictly but i keep missing it and haven't had a chance to ipleyer it yet. plenty of aussies on it!

skillbo hope you are on the mend.

june you are incredible with those runs missus. Wow. I tried running again. Not good. My pelvic floor is such a disaster after the kids that it is going to be some time beofre I try again.

zhen wonderful news abour your little girl

alloverit did i see you here? glad you are back. things sound hectic but great news about your business.

work is busy. I need to go away in two weeks, for a week and all my childcare has fallen though. now advertising for a temp nanny. God this is hard.

must go, kids need sorting. Wonderful D+V for Z. Thnka god for the new washing machine, going through so many clothes.

TheNinjaGooseIsOnAMission · 14/10/2011 14:03

afternoon all Smile

skillbo, it was Kristina who caught the eye in her Jessica Rabbit dress, but Edwina wasn't great, have to agree with that! I can't say I've taken to Nancy when I've seen her interviewed, she seems a little self absorbed, could be wrong of course.

gauchita, I had to check who a few were, although not as many as for celebrity coach trip, that just got a massive WWWHHHHOOOOOOOOOO?? And as to who gets considered a celebrity is amazing! M will settle in time, she's a lot to deal with atm, new baby, new house

snowwombat · 15/10/2011 19:59

Finally sitting down to wstch scd. How good was Jason.

Today is international pregnancy and infant loss remembrance day.have lit a candle for ds1.

Hope you are all having a lovely weekend
X

TheNinjaGooseIsOnAMission · 15/10/2011 22:51

((((hugs)))) snow

Gauchita · 16/10/2011 16:38

Hi all,

Snow, a bit ((hug)) going your way. Hope things are looking less cluttered at your new home now. We're almost there here but there's still stuff to do.

Ninja, two to three! I can't think of that with the status quo we have here atm Grin

Hope everyone is well. A bit of a nightmare morning here while out shopping, link [http://www.mumsnet.com/Talk/breast_and_bottle_feeding/a1322454-Were-they-right-or-should-I-complain#27960448 here]]. I cried quite a bit hormonal mess but now just feeling sad about the whole issue. Things have been quite hard for me this week so I was looking forward to going out a bit and getting new pijamas for M and then this happened, I just couldn't hold believe it. DH is v mad, wants to complain, etc.

Anyway, off to London very early tomorrow to get D's passport and renew M's. It's been quite a while since we last went so it should be fun

Waves!

Skillbo · 17/10/2011 13:22

Hello ladies - am at work so will need to be a bit sneaky Smile

I read your thread, Guachita and am really shocked at the response from H&M... I would've thought they would be one of the shops least likely to kick off but what do I know - all depends on the staff though, I guess! I am glad to see you wrote a letter thought and also have the power of the law behind you! I was never asked to move on although did receive odd glances from time to time, but it's good to know there is now legislation to prevent this kind of thing - just such a shame it happened to you! I really hope you get a good result... great stuff from your DH though - he sounds so supportive and protective of you and the DC's....

I hope M has started to behave herself a little more now although can only imagine how tough it is... am silently dreading our lo arriving as J can be a bit of a handful and I can see her losing the plot a little come December!!

Snow - hope Saturday wasn't too hard for you, ((cuddles))... also hope the new place is starting to take shape and your lo's aren't under your feet too much - and in and out the boxes and up and down the stairs Smile

Right - best get back to it.. Nanny had J for Friday & Saturday night and I managed to sleep a total of 24 hours Blush.... I guess I needed it and boy, so I feel better for it! J did of course, sleep through at Nanny's and was back to being a bit disturbed last night but sooo much better (and I've managed to get out of the room straight away, albeit hanging by the door for ten minutes until she's a bit settled... beats having to be in her room with her though as can sometimes slope off pretty quickly!

Have a good week all x
