A starter for 10 on our Sept 2010 babies as their first Christmas comes nearer! Can't believe we're there already; I was barely pregnant last Xmas!

I think going off exploring is just the right thing to do on you mat leave comix. In fact, it's just what I've been doing with Louis Grin

Yea! I think Louis has just fallen asleep with almost no crying Grin. Normally I wouldn't be so excited by this, but he's had a complete meltdown at bedtime each of the last 3 nights with an hour+ to settle him and lots of inconsolable screaming - much worse than anything we had when he was little (I like how I say that as if he's such a big boy now Hmm). He had his 3rd set of jabs on Thursday so I'm hoping it was just them that caused it.

clumsy it's me that lives in Cambridge...

cinnamon 98th centile? My god! Orlaith was last measured as being on the 75th centile for length but I'm sure she measured her wrong because every time she pulled her legs straight, her head would come away from the top of the measuring board thingy. I think she's going to be a shorty like me Grin

I think it's probably worthwhile adding march to the doodle thing just in case there are more people available then. There are some football games, rugby matches I think and parties booked at the pub so I'm going to add the available dates to the calendar.

comix your day sounds like a lovely day, mat leave or no mat leave! I've never got on well with my baby carrier and assumed it was because Orlaith was heavy, but my sister was given a babasling for xmas and she says it's amazing and so much more comfy. I'm thinking of getting one and having nice mummy/baby trips out like that Smile

Hmmm...is between 7 and 8 ounces every 3-3.5 hours a lot do you think? 6 times a day normally - so what, 45oz a day on average? I think I will look up what he is supposed to be having. Sorry am thinking out loud! How much do your LO's have on average each day?

cinammon - cute video! Have commented on facebook that he looks like he has a big white afro!! hehe. Grin

March meet up may be better for me too as DP is studying for his detectives exams at the min so time is on the short side for us being able to spend time together!

Dixie - I did the dreamfeed thing once or twice - didn't seem to make much difference to be honest. We dont do it now. But Ollys sleep in all over the shop at the minute anyway - don't know if am coming or going really...! Confused

Comix new thread sounds good - will leave it to you to sort - you have suceeded before!

beadit - i've text you! am not quiet - just observing! hehe. Nope no wedding dresses yet - not til I can buy one that is not marquee sized!

Olly 15+1

saoirse, comix I have an Oyster too. I love it as it's quite narrow and corners well - good for all the narrow pavements we have round here. Louis is almost too long for the carrycot though so I think I'm going to have to unearth the pushchair bit soon...

saoirse86 · 10/01/2011 20:09

Ooh maple , thanks for saying that, I'd been looking to buy a carrycot to go with it and literally hadn't even thought of the length, I won't bother now. She fits fine in the seat. I don't know why the seat's supposed to be from 6 months, it lies pretty flat and the harness fits ok Hmm .
I might just get one when we have our next child Shock I've been thinking since Orlaith was about 4 weeks that I'd like another one and don't want to wait too long, then DP said on sat that he's been thinking we could start trying soon! I know I'm probably stupid naive thinking I could manage but I really feel ready Hmm Grin

beaditAli · 10/01/2011 20:13

Ohhhh... I did read some bad reviews re: Urbo but have friends who've had no end of trouble with Bugaboos and Quinnys so I figure I'll just have to try for myself. Luckily we have the 03 for the hefty walks so the lil pushchair will just help him trundle around Topshop and such like with me Grin
We had a Pliko at first but that's found a happy home at my parents. They live in a rabbit warren of a bungalow so my mum can take him for a walk in it without leaving the house Envy

cinnamon I just tried to emulate your bath time but Jack is still undecided about bath times Hmm Not gonna hurry to a swimming pool til he gives me serious smiles and more giggles in his bath.
Luke is sooooooooo cute!
chelle what size dress are you? My wedding dress is dying to be worn again! You can have her for a weekend if you'd like Smile

Chelle1986 · 10/01/2011 20:15

beady - I told you MARQUEE SIZE!! Grin

beaditAli · 10/01/2011 20:17

Well I've seen FB evidence! And, you're not! x

beaditAli · 10/01/2011 20:22

comix space and time is running out! Are you there??????

mapletrees · 10/01/2011 20:23

Wow saoirse, you're braver than me, but if it feels right for you I don't think you're naive. I'm sure two LOs is a handful whether the age gap is 1 year, 2 3 or 4... I'm quite close in age with my sister and we're very close - were often into the same things at the same time. I just measured the inside of my carrycot and it's 76cm, if that helps. I bought it as the seat just doesn't go quite flat enough for a newborn.

Chelle1986 · 10/01/2011 20:30

Yeah comix!!! where are you! Do you think we should attempt it just in case comix can't get here in time?!

Chelle1986 · 10/01/2011 20:33

OOOOH I've done it! Can someone check the link please???

Chelle1986 · 10/01/2011 20:34

Sorry for stepping in your toes comix - I didn't want the thread to run out and too lose anyone! Smile

bananastew · 10/01/2011 20:36

Dixie (i think!) I was all for the dream feed cos it worked with ds1. Started doing it with Olly & he would feed at 10 the be wide awake at 5.30 so I was shattered cos I had to stay up Then get up early. I stopped it just before christmas & he now goes 6pm-anywhere from 2-4am- 7am! Although I still have to do a night feed I prefer it as I can go to bed early & he sleeps in longer!

can'trememberwho! just going back to the memory things, I've kept a diary from the day I found out I was pregnant with ds1. I don't write reams but just things they do/ds1 says like 1st smile, when ds1 said choc choc peese! I can properly compare them now!

Olly rolled Shock ds1 didn't roll till he was 10 months! (I know cos it says in my diary! Grin) I put him up for a sleep on his tummy & when I went to get him he was on his back!

melly hope everythings ok. I can sympathise, I'm going next week!

Olly 19 weeks tomorrow!

cinnamongreyhound · 10/01/2011 20:40

Yes chelle1986, it works!

comixminx · 10/01/2011 20:42

Blimey - was just going to do it and found it was already there! Well done chelle!
