hello

OP posts:
wubblybubbly · 07/05/2010 11:48

Ooh, according the Andrew Neil the tory hierarchy are not happy bunnies and electoral reform is not on the cards

nearlytoolate · 07/05/2010 11:48

A reality check here - Tory MPs seem to be blaming Cameron for not gettign an overall majority, and say they won't countenance conceding to electoral reform.

motherinferior · 07/05/2010 11:48

Boris does his bumbling act with calculation, I think. I remember him as a student, in his I Heart Maggie badge

Heathcliffscathy · 07/05/2010 11:49

did any of you clock what andrew neil said?

not much chance of a lib/con coalition then.

Nymphadora · 07/05/2010 11:50

Hehehehe at the Tories falling out when they actually have a chance!

nearlytoolate · 07/05/2010 11:50

inmyhead you are forgetting that Cameron alone can't agree this - see what the Tory MPs are saying...
Tbh anything could happen.
I think I will go and have some lunch now...

Disenchanted3 · 07/05/2010 11:50

So the tories don't want a 're-vote' (is that what an electoral reform is?)

I'm really sorry about my novice questions, I'm genuinly enthralled but lack the knowledge

Heathcliffscathy · 07/05/2010 11:51

i adore the thought of puce faced tory grandees sputtering that cameron was too leftist during the campaign!

love it.

theyoungvisiter · 07/05/2010 11:51

would Clegg lose a referendum on PR?

I think most people are fairly pro some form of PR - maybe not straight PR but perhaps AV or enhanced AV or whatever they call it.

VoteRedLentil · 07/05/2010 11:51

The difference between AV (good) and (AV+)PR is nicely explained here.

Yes, Johnson was favouring AV+ last night. It's the system here in Ireland and it is not as transparent or as democratic in my view as AV. I'll get a t-shirt printed with 'I agree with Jack Straw'

leavingonajetplane · 07/05/2010 11:51

Saw and enjoyed Sophable. Love to be a fly on the wall of the Tory discussions.

That sounded very promising

sallyJayGorce · 07/05/2010 11:51

Boris actually LOVED Maggie. Not just her politics. He loved her as a woman. Men like hime like a feisty bit of rough like her.

wubblybubbly · 07/05/2010 11:52

Indeed, it seems Hameron is not the tory messiah, he's a very naughty boy

nearlytoolate · 07/05/2010 11:53

there is also a problem with Lib/Lab coalition - they don't have an overall majority without another partner. So I think Clegg's calculation absolutely correct.

Heathcliffscathy · 07/05/2010 11:53

come out come out senior tory grandee wherever you are....

Beachcomber · 07/05/2010 11:54

ooh unrest in the Tories, I bet Hameron is shitting himself.

DavidHameron · 07/05/2010 11:54

I am NOT a naughty boy, I am Spartacus.

"bags of malice" - snort!

leavingonajetplane · 07/05/2010 11:57

Although still confused about what exactly to hope for now. Its hard to work out how best this short-lived government should go, in order to ensure that longterm, things go in right direction. again.

motherinferior · 07/05/2010 11:59

Prolesworth, I am about to go and meet a friend for a soothing South Indian lunch. I fear that image will not allow it to settle.

auberginesrus · 07/05/2010 11:59

PMSL at naughty boy Hameron and prospect of Tories imploding

onebatonevote · 07/05/2010 12:00

Hellooooo.
I have some catching up to do. This all just gets more and more Looking-Glass like though, doesn't it?

Disenchanted3 · 07/05/2010 12:00

HYPOTHETICALLY...

If after all this they said, right vota again tomorrow, what do you think would happen?

Would people vote the same? Would more people vote?

Nymphadora · 07/05/2010 12:02
