Where can I see a clip of this braying hooray?

Need to show it to DH

ArcticRoll · 07/05/2010 09:44

Officially a hung parliament-not as bad as I had expected -yay!

theyoungvisiter · 07/05/2010 09:44

I've started a new thread wondering what went wrong for dave

No answers so far. If anyone has any ideas please come and post them.

How did he do so badly? Because regardless of what their people are saying it is pretty bad for him IMO. Not quite the Tory's 1992 but close...

thetoriesaretoast · 07/05/2010 09:44

I want it to stop, I want it to stop! Need sleep but can't go to bed unless I manage to surgically detach myself from keyboard/telly.
Broken arms/asthma attacks/sick DCs. You're a heroic bunch and I'm whinging about lack of sleep.

Phew. Hung parliament.

Now the wheeling and dealing starts.

ImSoNotTelling · 07/05/2010 09:47

I'm not very good at the numbers

But labour + iberal = not enough for a majority? They wouldn't be much more than the tories - I don't know that they'll get away with that will they?

OH GOD we're not going to have to do it all over again are we?

Feeling v sorry for the libdems here as well.

SpringHeeledJack · 07/05/2010 09:48

yay! this country is not as raddled with Tories and right wing nutters as I'd thought

Surely Cameron should've pissed it under the circs? what with recession, 13 years of labour, insanely biased media and that?

I think it's bloody amazing! A hung parliament when DC was expected to walk it. Yessss!

LibDems did well here. Gained a seat at Wells, retained Taunton. My parents true blue tory seat became a slightly darker shade of blue

SparklyGothKat · 07/05/2010 09:48

hung parliment, what happens now?

FiveOrangePips · 07/05/2010 09:48

I went to bed at 4 a.m, it is still exciting, I have been clicking on remaining constituencies to see what the voting was like 2005.

GetOutOfMoiWayTories · 07/05/2010 09:49

DD is fine today thanks - she has got a (purple!) plaster cast and is as pleased as punch - gone to school saying 'i can't write today - hurray'. It is the third time she has broken her arm in 3 years the daft apeth.

I got in last night and cried - DP said 'oh don't cry about DD, you know she's all right' and I said 'no I am crying because I think the tories are going to win'. He made me a soothing cup of tea.

I am gutted that my really hard working local MP was ousted by the tories last night - 7% swing. Like the tories will do anything for Gloucester.

Am just numb this morning. I had better keep away from that Gordon megalomanica thread as well.

You lot are great though

NorkilyChallenged · 07/05/2010 09:50

De-lurking (I only managing to lurk until midnight )

Does anyone know anything about percentage share of the overall vote (you know, what would have been if we had PR?).

The pre-election polls were all giving us overall percentages too and saying that Labour would be 3rd, etc but I can't find details of overall percentages on BBC site.

Also I have a vague memory that Brown has to stay in office if a hung parliament, they can't try to replace him straight away... I can't explain it in words as it's v hazy in my brain this morning

auberginesrus · 07/05/2010 09:50

Morning all. Certinly could be a lot worse, but am gutted libdems didn't do better.

Good morning everybody. Am very tired and glum now, and more than a little confused about what is actually going on.

Thank goodness I didn't stay up for edgbaston!
breakfast and school run over... back to bed now.
Totally unsurprised about hung parliament though.

taffetacat · 07/05/2010 09:54

Norkily - I saw a BBC overall pecentage early this am Cons 37%, Labour 30%, Lib Dem in the teens can't remember exact amounts - sorry and anyway out of date now

I'm sure someone will answer for you properly in a min

sfxmum · 07/05/2010 09:55

and interestingly the Tories did not 'win' or convince anyone on their ability to deal with the economy
