Watch out folks, you heard it here first. My husband is a senior economist and is seriously seriously worried about what's about to happen. We need to do all we can to avert a major economical disaster. GB has got us here, do not let him take us further into crisis.

My DH is a historian. He says he's seen it all before.

policywonk · 05/05/2010 21:43

CNS, we're not thick you know.

The budget deficit is on the cover of the Guardian as we speak. Maybe you're reading the wrong newspapers?

4andnotout · 05/05/2010 21:43

Surely the Greeks can't afford to travel all the way here just to riot, I thought they were skint.

ahundredtimes · 05/05/2010 21:43

LOL Habb

ShowOfHands · 05/05/2010 21:43

Well it's all v unpredictable atm poorbuthappy, but you can count on two things...

  1. People will try and sway the election with scare tactics based on ridiculous claims
  1. Jordan will probably get 'em out

Everything else is a question mark. But if Dr Who does turn up, I'm hoping for Ten. Eleven's got weird eyebrows.

NathanBarley · 05/05/2010 21:44

My DH says that if conservatives get in the rivers will run with blood and there will be a plague of locusts o'er the land. So shut up.

fabhead · 05/05/2010 21:44

BORED NOW! (sorry for shouting but ffs)

policywonk · 05/05/2010 21:44

I love it when right-wingers accuse lefties of not keeping an open mind. Because they are so often relentlessly closed-minded themselves.

PMSL habb

MaryMotherOfManchego · 05/05/2010 21:44

Doh!

I won't need to panic buy it.

I'll just be able to smash the window and walk right in.

Now then, how am I going to smash that glass without scratching myself. Hmm......

ahundredtimes · 05/05/2010 21:45

Agree. Eleven looks a bit like John Merrick. And I mean that nicely

electra · 05/05/2010 21:45

I've heard the opposite too.

ShowOfHands · 05/05/2010 21:46

Don't worry about scratching yourself. Under Tory proposals, anybody can set up their own hospital. I'll operate on you if necessary.

MaryMotherOfManchego · 05/05/2010 21:46

If they're greek style riots will I have to loot feta and pita?

tiredlady · 05/05/2010 21:46

Ooh, rioting!
What would one wear?

CatIsSleepy · 05/05/2010 21:46

ahundredtimes · 05/05/2010 21:46

I haven't got the energy tbh but Stephanie Flander's blog on BBC v. good, and gives v. good analysis on difference between Greece and UK

MaryMotherOfManchego · 05/05/2010 21:47

Oh that's ok then SoH

ahundredtimes · 05/05/2010 21:47

Greek style rioting sounds olympic doesn't it.

i could do that

poorbuthappy · 05/05/2010 21:48

Well, as its a special occasion I would think nine, ten and eleven would turn up and then there would really be a decision to make on polling day wouldn't there???

pinkfizzle · 05/05/2010 21:48

Canneverdecide ..... and we should believe you because Senior Economists also predicted the banking crisis.

ShowOfHands · 05/05/2010 21:49

Vote Ten. Nine has no staying power and eleven has a melty head. Now here's a debate I can really feel passionate about.

tiredlady · 05/05/2010 21:50

I love threads like these.

They just make the Tories look a little bit stupid really.

RubyBuckleberry · 05/05/2010 21:50

lol habbibu

why would the greeks come here?

(know nothing sorry)

poorbuthappy · 05/05/2010 21:50

If you have ten can I have nine and eleven?? There's something about nine which makes me go all shivery...and I think I could corrupt eleven very nicely...
