Yes. Unfortunately UK are too dependent on an pending trade deal with the US. If Starmer speaks out in support of Ukraine, he'll lose the deal and our economy is screwed.
Trump doesn't care if Ukraine are annihilated. I expect him and Putin have made some deal to split he mineral reserves.
America and Russia have leaders with no conscience, humainity or morals. It's awful to witness.

I would also like to see verified evidence of this so called ‘money funnelling’? And not bloody truth social or some post on X.

Yes I don’t think anyone of sound mind could watch that and think trump and Vance behaved appropriately. They are being slated in the comments on newspaper sites across the political spectrum in the UK. It was a bizarre and horrifying display by the US.

Zelenskyy has not been involved in known corruption. However, Ukraine has a lot of corruption and this is a major problem. It is being worked on, unlike in Russia which is worse, much much worse. I believe it is safe to say, Zelenskyy isn’t corrupt for financial gain.

There is a petition going on another thread. I would feel very upset about paying for a Trump state visit (as a British taxpayer).

Trump is a friend of Putin, who is a friend of North Korea ………,pit of evil ………let’s stop thinking we have a special relationship with the US and just let Ukraine join NATO.

I thought it was the beginning of the set up.

It’s was utterly shameful. I felt sick to my stomach. Bullying for all to see of a brave man who does not speak English as his first language. Unspeakable behaviour. The only thing that may be positive is that Zelensky will surely garner more support.

I get the situation in Ukraine about corruption at all levels of society and there are reports about it being investigated within goverment, ok. It was just the specific and much repeated claims of Zelenskyy making money out the war that I wanted to address - it seems like a bot/propagandist slur of the "keep flinging mud till the mud sticks" type.

(I also fully expect all sorts of people to be making money off of the conflict at all levels - black markets and racketeering underpin most/all wars)

The visit must go ahead. JD Vance must be kept away at all costs (using flattery - the King only invited you, DT), and when DT arrives, the King must do a lot of talking about Churchill, the Queen, legacies and how DT could be the next bust in the Oval Office if he stands up to the USA’s main aggressor. He could also possibly slip in something about JDV disrespecting DT and acting like the leader..

Only just watched it. That was hard to get through. I don’t often feel quite so moved with political stuff but this has made me actually quite sad for Zelenskyy. Christ those 2 bullies really had a go didn’t they. So disgusting

Vance saw red when zelensky continually held his position that Ukrain has signed deals with Putin in the past many many times and everytime Putin broke the agreements. Vance just snapped and went for Zelensky and then Trump finished the onslaught.

I was in the car at the time listening on the Radio and it was a complete Jaw drop moment, I couldn't quite believe what I was hearing.

This is a pivatol moment for European leaders to get their head in the game and support Ukraine.
This is what Zelensky was implying to Trump that you cannot stop Putin With agreements as he cannot
be trusted to keep them.This rattled Trump I think because he wants easy wins to show the world what a tough guy he is.

There was lots of manipulation at play by Trump/Vance in their deragatory approach to Zelensky to get Europe to up their investment in their defence and also to appease Putin with their tone towards Zelensky.
I just hope Trump can keep Putin in check otherwise we are in for a very different future in Europe.

Trump is a big bully, the rest of the world know this, but no-one seems able to stand up to him. We need to stand together with Europe and unite against him and all his rubbish. If we don't act now, we will regret not standing up to Trump in the future.
Ironically, but very sadly, we are closer to WW3 than any of us realise...
