Scary stuff.

I don't know what to say.

You’re cheering on the end of the world.

Anyone who supports Putin is cheering on global conflict.

vicent · 28/02/2025 20:46

Wildflowers99 · 28/02/2025 18:36

It won’t do anything. It’s a waste of time. We cannot protest against another country’s democratically elected leader.

The whole situation is thoroughly depressing.

Sorry but why not? people can protest in the UK, in Europe, and many other places.

Because he sat there, dressed like he was going to walk the dog, with his arms folded talking absolute nonsense. All whilst people in his country are dying. He was in dodgy dealings with Biden and now the jig is up, he's sour the billions have stopped rolling in.

I said it before on another thread and people called me all sorts. He doesn't want this war to end.

What he was wearing IS his uniform.

He's the president of a country at war not a fucking businessman looking to make a fast buck. What he wants is his country not to be overrun by Russia.

Cretinous comment.

Petuniaspetal · 28/02/2025 20:46

pompey38 · 28/02/2025 20:42

no, only you

Definitely not. I have a feeling the blimp will be up again and the middle finger mown into the fields and lawns on his flight path into the UK.

Hopefully the golfing fraternity will find its balls and abandon his golf clubs too.

RIP Janey Godley she knew a c you next Tuesday when she saw one.

Dymaxion · 28/02/2025 20:46

Massive respect to Trump and Vance for talking straight to that clown and finally putting it as it is.
From a Czech person.

@Nothatgingerpirate Are you going to suggest that all Ukraine needs to do is paint Russian tanks pink to win the conflict ?

ThankyouBakedP0tato · 28/02/2025 20:46

Araminta1003 · 28/02/2025 20:10

And also, this TV show thing appeared incredibly staged and given both Zelensky and Trump are TV personalities, no idea whether to take this at face value or not.

If you're right, and it certainly feels right, then it's definitely fooled all these people on this thread.

TENSsion · 28/02/2025 20:42

You’re cheering on the end of the world.

Don't be ridiculous. Putin doesn't want nuclear war any more than we do - because the outcome for everyone would be the same.

Dweetfidilove · 28/02/2025 20:47

President Zelensky has gone right up I'm my estimation, and I await the reaction of our weak backed leader 😳.

Notonthestairs · 28/02/2025 20:47

"If I'm reading this right, and this is the back room game, then Trump has played a genius move in signing the minerals deal first, then looking like having a major fallout with Zelensky live on international TV.
It would explain Z being able to stay so calm."

No deal was signed.

BurntBroccoli · 28/02/2025 20:47

Just watched the bit where one of the reporters asked Zelensky why he wasn't wearing a suit!
Awful, awful bullying.

Zelensky looked so uncomfortable- I wish Macron and Starmer had been there today to support him.

Who supports Putin on here?

pompey38 · 28/02/2025 20:47

TENSsion · 28/02/2025 20:29

What is your solution?

Zelenski’s got a very difficult time right now. He needs to give half of his mineral deposits to Trump, land to Putin and keep the peace or fight Putin alone and have no country in couple of days.
The thing is ,he knew he’s going to sign the agreement, he most probably had the agreement to study before this , he got very demanding in the process asking from US complete security going forward( I assume is for them to join NATO) Trump was put on the spot and got very undiplomatic, therefore the whole thing fell through

mrpenny · 28/02/2025 20:48

Bourdic · 28/02/2025 18:21

I can’t remember feeling so shocked ever as watching this exchange .

Absolutely agree. Never seen anything like it.

NotTerfNorCis · 28/02/2025 20:48

TENSsion · 28/02/2025 20:40

And although you think Putin is unreasonable enough to want to take over all of Europe you think he IS reasonable enough to give a shit about sanctions and tariffs?

Economic pressure is a good first step, yes. It doesn't matter if he 'gives a shit' or not, it will weaken Russia.

NotTerfNorCis · 28/02/2025 20:49

TENSsion · 28/02/2025 20:47

Who supports Putin on here?

If you're against Zelenskyy and Ukraine, you're pro-Putin by default.

mrpenny · 28/02/2025 20:49

lifeonmars100 · 28/02/2025 20:22

I watched this with my mouth hanging open in utter disbelief. No words for the vile ignorance of Trump and his pathetic side kick Vance. The world becomes more dangerous with every single day this lunatic is in power. On a side note, what on earth does it do for children to see that the most powerful man in the world is a lying lound mouthed bully?

Exactly. horrific behaviour

I don’t understand what you mean, can you explain? I want to believe that this is all part of a grand plan, but unfortunately my expectations of the ‘very stable genius’ are not high.

TENSsion · 28/02/2025 20:50

NotTerfNorCis · 28/02/2025 20:48

Economic pressure is a good first step, yes. It doesn't matter if he 'gives a shit' or not, it will weaken Russia.

“Weakening Russia” just means the poorest Russians will die.

He doesn’t care about that.

NotTerfNorCis · 28/02/2025 20:49

And what if you’re pro-ceasefire and anti-escalation?

BringMeTea · 28/02/2025 20:51

So depressing. Trump and Vance are trash.

abracadabra1980 · 28/02/2025 20:51

Wavesandsmilesencore · 28/02/2025 18:23

I hope following this awful display that the invitation to a second state visit to the UK is withdrawn - not betting on it though!!

Agree 💯

WhamFantastic · 28/02/2025 20:51

Just seen Lindsay Graham being interviewed. 'Never been so proud of POTUS.'
Looks like the strategy is to force Zelensky out of office (and install a Putin backed puppet?).

NotTerfNorCis · 28/02/2025 20:51

TENSsion · 28/02/2025 20:50

“Weakening Russia” just means the poorest Russians will die.

He doesn’t care about that.

Putin certainly doesn't care about other people, that's true.

I had a shadow of a feeling that maybe Trump does care a bit - his dwelling on the young, innocent dead - but he's too stupid or corrupt to realise that supporting Putin will not help matters in the long run.

MaggieMistletoe · 28/02/2025 20:52

Lyannaa · 28/02/2025 19:50

Well in fairness Zelensky shouldn't be protecting sex offenders like Hunter Biden.

It's ok for sex offenders like Trump to be president though? Some weird people on this thread.

I never said anything in defense of Trump.

I said Zelensky should not be protecting sex offenders like Hunter Biden. According to you that makes me 'weird'. I find that quite disturbing. Sex offenders should not be protected, your position on this is quite depraved and concerning in all honesty.

HPFA · 28/02/2025 20:52

TENSsion · 28/02/2025 20:50

And what if you’re pro-ceasefire and anti-escalation?

Putin could end this war this minute by simply leaving Ukraine.
