Of course if he wants a ceasefire but when someone burgles your house at gun point, asking that they stop does very little. Only Putin can create a ceasefire.

Zelensky did incredibly well to keep his temper, I guess exactly because it's not all just a dick measuring exercise for him.

Zelensky never looked even at risk of rising to/engaging with their nonsense. Not to flinch, or react in any way, whilst Trump was repeatedly jabbing him in the arm whilst yelling over all his sensible, measured, informative responses - he could not have conducted himself with any greater dignity.

I have family in Ukraine and many friends (also in the UK). I cannot find ONE who supports Zelenskyy. They say he is a criminal of the worse kind. They also couldn't care less about the land - it's an infertile, wasteland. It's worthless to them.

We've been told repeatedly that a major factor in the cost of living crisis is the war in Ukraine. The price of cooking oil has gone through the roof since the war began. A lot of it comes from crops grown in Ukraine, doesn't it?
