Probably showing my age, but the world was a much happier place when the Berlin Wall was in place and Ukraine was none of our business.

I have family in Ukraine and many friends (also in the UK). I cannot find ONE who supports Zelenskyy. They say he is a criminal of the worse kind. They also couldn't care less about the land - it's an infertile, wasteland. It's worthless to them. They want peace. Zelenskyy is lining his own pockets - he doesn't even dispute this.

Also I'm shocked that so many people on here are so taken in by the media. It's sheer laziness. No ability to think critically.

As for Trump - do you really think this doesn't go on behind the scenes of everyday life in politics? Across all countries. At best it's naivety, at worst...

I think Trump is looking to divide up the world and its resources between the USA, China and Russia. Russian will be given Ukraine, China will be given Taiwan and god knows what will happen to the rest of us. What happened today was disgusting.

What Trump means is 'If you don't let Russia overrun Ukraine, Putin will start WW3 and it'll all be your fault.'

Zelensky has forced even younger men to fight in this war by passing a law last year. If you are male and Ukrainian you have no choice to put your life on the line.
