If labour wins the next GE are they likely to overturn the ban on puberty blockers and disregard the Cass Report?

I want to vote for them but I'm so scared they will jump straight on the bandwagon and risk our kids safety. And women's.

Because discussions progress?
Because at the forefront of the discussion is the Cass report and the fact that over 8000 children were let down by the NHS is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to the mountain of shit that women and children have been put through the last decade in persuit of "inclusion"

An inclusion that excludes women.

So of course the discussion is going to flow into the other atrocities women have faced due to this toxic movement.

Are you saying that every thread posted on MN must strictly adhere to the topic outlined in the title and must not deviate into natural conversation to relating topics?

Must have missed that memo.

Edited

It doesn’t progress though. As soon as anyone dare enter the conversation with an opinion that’s not 100% aligned then it just snowballs into yet another bun fight.

I'm not getting into it again. I am very bored of it and its not relevant on this thread. Suffice to say pp's characterisation of my position was not accurate at all.

What why was that post with questions deleted?

Dunno. It didn't warrant it.

I've reported the post quoting it to say it shouldn't have been deleted.

Your characterisation of my position isn't correct either as its the same as yours!

If you're so bored of it why are you still posting?

Leave the thread to the posters that have an interest in these issues.

Apparently it was reported and broke talk guidelines.

Wonder who reported it can't think? 🤔

theworldie · 21/04/2024 16:46

I have no idea why my post was deleted.

Is it because I used the word “mangina”?
If so, it is used quite a lot on the feminist board without deletion.

MN - can you clarify why my post was deleted?

theworldie · 21/04/2024 16:48

I see how when we ask genuine questions for solutions to certain peoples ideas of “how it should be” it gets reported and deleted. Why is that I wonder?🧐

EasternStandard · 21/04/2024 16:49

It can’t have been just asking questions surely

I mean I didn’t notice anything, maybe it was that phrase

valensiwalensi · 21/04/2024 14:47

My feminism is intersectional thank you.

i didn’t come here to discuss that though.

Is this the one where you claim that some men are the same as disabled women, black women, lesbians and women of religious minority because THEY say they are women?

Not only is that no form of feminism because it centres some men it's also deeply racist, ableist and homophobic.

I've messaged you my emails with MNHQ.

There are people amongst us who bloody report anything and everything. It's amazing how deletions follow certain posters around. 🤔

I don't think they'll reverse the decisions made as a result of the Cass report. Although they have a few MPs who would like to.

I think they will make it easier to get GRC.

And this is pure speculation but my guess regarding their plan for spaces would be to create a two tier system, where the single sex spaces people use day to day, such as toilets and changing rooms, will be based on legal sex (so women plus men with GRC) and spaces that are used by fewer people in more extreme circumstances (such as prisons and rape crisis centres) will be still be permitted to be purely based on biological sex. This would create a increase in the number of GRCs applied for under the new streamlined system. And in practice providers would have to assume that any male wanting to use a female space is probably entitled to because GRCs will be more common. But I'll be more than happy for this to be proved wrong when they publish their manifesto.

caringcarer · 21/04/2024 17:14

No idea but Starlmer is totally taken with trans ideology. He thinks some women have a penis.

Bromptotoo · 21/04/2024 14:12

I'm not getting in a debate with those of a GC perspective.

There's no point as there's a more or less binary divergence of view.

Sex is binary though.

If you say so.

NoWordForFluffy · 21/04/2024 17:30

Bromptotoo · 21/04/2024 17:29

If you say so.

What's the third sex?

5GreenLeaves · 21/04/2024 17:33

Bromptotoo · 21/04/2024 17:29

If you say so.

Sex is binary.

Some people have a medical deformity that causes them to be intersexed.

But that just means something has gone wrong and they were supposed to be one of the binary sexes, male or female.

Sex isn't a spectrum because some people are born with a deformity.

Some people are born with a 3rd leg or born with 1 leg.

Humans are still bipedal.

Legs aren't suddenly on a spectrum. Biology books will say humans have 2 legs.

If they have more legs than 2 or less we know something has gone wrong.

It's the same with biological sex.

I do. Because it's fact. Male or Female. Two. Binary. Unless there's a third gamete you've discovered and haven't told anyone?

Saying sex is binary has nothing to do with being gender critical.

You can debate the spectrum of gender all you want.

But sex being binary is a fact and nothing to do with gender.

NoWordForFluffy · 21/04/2024 17:36

How about basic biology?

How sad is it that the first page of any biology book in creation is now subject to debate.

"There are men and there are women"

It's a sad state of affairs and quite frankly I find it embarrassing.
