Me? I'd quite like a competent government but we can't have everything we want, can we?

Speeches are funny things though. The things people remember about speeches are if they made them laugh (the number 1 thing!) and the stories within them. He does do that very well. .

Can't remember anything Kier Starmer said last week. Not one thing. Maybe something about people with cervixes, but that also maybe wasn't in his actual speech.

I can’t imagine any people living abroad watching our PM and thinking “I want that guy running my country”.

You're right, 'build back beaver' will certainly be remembered as the stand out moment of his speech.

This is why the UK is in such a pitiful state, certain people thinking the point of a PM's speech is to make 'em laff.

One thing I certainly remember from Starmer’s speech, because it was the truest thing I’ve heard a politician say in a very long time: that Johnson is a trivial man. Spot on.

But I will never understand why resumably intelligent people confuse empty words for 'vision'.
