Even more Trump.

There may be 4 years of this.
Try to keep it lighthearted and not snide, please.
It's Christmas.

'So, still as clueless as all the other clueless people who did know either.'

No, the political pundits predicted that Clinton would win and that "Trump had no path to 270". The usual stuff they all said on the BBC and elsewhere, same old game, a bit like when they thought that one of the Oxbridge graduates would beat Corbyn.

You should learn about Chad. He's made a deal with the devil to fuck up the people while lining the pockets of the local dictator. While sending other oil companies out.
Scroll back and look for the video I put on.
Watch it all carefully.

(Except that the devil now seems to have made mincemeat of Exxon too - possibly why he was happy to leave Exxon for a lower paid job.)

'But he did say he thought he had lost.
""So I sort of thought I lost, and I was OK with that,”"

But then in one of his post-truth, history rewriting somersaults, today he's saying he knew he'd win big. '

Trump is renowned for his modesty. He didn't want to appear as if he thought it was a shoe-in. That is the mark of the man, humility.

In August perhaps, but still, we had earlier discussed how pundits said she had a greater chance of winning. Which she had. Nobody said it was 100% for Hillary.

claig · 02/01/2017 23:37

'Scroll back and look for the video I put on'

I will try and watch it tomorrow. How long is it and who is it made by? Is it BBC because I know what they are like?

I know you're joking. But he still said he thought he lost.
And his latest tweet shows it was not out of humility.

claig · 02/01/2017 23:38

'Nobody said it was 100% for Hillary.'

You wouldn't expect them to, unless they worked at the Guardian.

Unfortunately some people are too frightened to say what they think about climate change

There are plenty who aren't.

I've only noticed people like Exxon executives scared of releasing their climate change data and manipulating news and data for fear of hurting their profit.
The conspiracy is not on the side of climate change.

DarthPlagueis · 02/01/2017 23:41

"Dr Piers Corbyn "

He doesn't have a PHD, but an MSC.

Even the Guardian didn't call Hillary 100%.

claig · 02/01/2017 23:42

'But he still said he thought he lost'

Trump is always saying things he doesn't mean. He told Alex Jones months and months before the election on his show "Alex you will be so proud of me and your country, but give me about a year or year and a half to get things done".

He thought he would win and beat all the Establishment stooges and then Hillary, and anyone who understood the people and the populist revolution and what has driven it in reality knew that he would win and beat any Establishment candidate that the elites threw at him because he was the people's champion against them, the people's "bare knuckle brawler" fighting for the people against the elites.

Sometimes it's best to say nothing, you know?

Megatherium · 02/01/2017 23:43

I guess that is why I predicted that UKIP would win the Euro elections, win Clacton in a landslide, win Rochester when Cameron and the Etonians through the kitchen sink at the people there, that Corbyn would beat the Oxbridge candidates the first time round and would beat the 172's candidate, Owen Banter, the second time round, that Brexit would win, that Trump would win and that Cameron's "Assad must go" policy would end in tears.

Maybe also why you predicted that Trump would get a majority of the vote, and that Hofer would win in Austria.

claig · 02/01/2017 23:43

'Even the Guardian didn't call Hillary 100%.'

OK, then they are not as stupid as I thought, and that was mighty stupid so it is not saying much.

Lweji · 02/01/2017 23:44

Maybe Piers got his PhD from where he gets his weather theories.

Megatherium · 02/01/2017 23:45

Unfortunately some people are too frightened to say what they think about climate change in case they are howled down and mocked by the illiterati who have been conned by the Oxbridge graduates on the Guardian.

Being frightened to say what you think because you can't hold your own in a scientific argument does not amount to being silenced by political correctness.

claig · 02/01/2017 23:45

'Maybe also why you predicted that Trump would get a majority of the vote, and that Hofer would win in Austria.'

I can't get everything exactly right. The Hofer one, I feel was possibly rigged yet again by the elites. The elites are nothing if not desperate as these threads have highlighted.

OP posts:
DarthPlagueis · 02/01/2017 23:46

But you see stupid is commenting on something that you don't know about.

Plenty of people knew Trump had a chance, plenty of people knew that his populist policies were going to find favour.

Plenty of people know that the people who should really be scared are the normal ordinary Americans and then the rest of the world . All you have to do is look at his track record.

Lweji · 02/01/2017 23:47

Again, sometimes it's best to keep your thoughts inside, claig.
A lesson that Trump could learn. Btw, notice how his election week tweets were so much more under control.

claig · 02/01/2017 23:48

'But you see stupid is commenting on something that you don't know about.'

You should know

But you see stupid is commenting on something that you don't know about.

Worse. Saying something that had previously been demonstrated not to be true.
So no excuses. It's just lying.

Kaija · 02/01/2017 23:50

Good woman. Expect a lot more of this sort of protest from the people against Trump and his elites.

"Being frightened to say what you think because you can't hold your own in a scientific argument does not amount to being silenced by political correctness."

That's the crux of the entire thing isn't it. All of the PC argument is actually that you can't make those statements because they don't stand up to scrutiny or any critical analysis.

You can't actually argue with climate change factually so you have to say you are being stopped from doing so. You can't make sweeping racist statements because they don't stand up to analysis, so you have to say that you are being stopped from doing so.

You can't actually argue that its against the fact that the major changes in the world economy that means that people with just US High School diplomas can't earn at the same level their parents did, so you say your being silenced.

Silenced by the "very, very stupid people" who actually are right and it boils your blood and it makes you want to burn it all down so you elect the guy who says he will.

But he won't.

I know an awful lot Claigy my dear, I'm not the one lacking in critical thinking skills or circular arguments, shifting the boundaries as and when I wish to.

Repeatedly its been said to you that lots of different journalists said Trump could win, and you just keep repeating it over and over.
