Even more Trump.

There may be 4 years of this.
Try to keep it lighthearted and not snide, please.
It's Christmas.

'They are not scared he will reopen the 911 investigation?
And find what?'

Gordon Bennett. Start with Conspiracy Theory 101. Why do you think Trump brought it up and scared the bejeesus out of some people?

OP posts:
DarthPlagueis · 02/01/2017 22:57

No I don't think anyone who said Trump had little chance of winning was clueless.

Populist revolution? Again, he didn't win the popular vote.

Globalisation is very much to do with why some people feel left behind, the simple reasons and solutions give by Trump are not accurate.

DarthPlagueis · 02/01/2017 22:58

See I am right.

You are prime reason Trump won, the internet conspiracy theorist.

Watched loose change a few too many times eh?

claig · 02/01/2017 22:58

'They are not scared worldwide of what might come out about the Clinton Foundation'

OK. We've got potentially 8 years of Trump. Let's see what is found and who was involved because anyone who was already knows about it.

"Believe me, there are a lot of very powerful people who are very scared because there is a lot of money at stake and they have been working towards this goal for decades"

Yes, people like Rex Tillerson. Exxon has been working for decades to suppress the evidence of climate change and stop action against it because there is indeed a lot of money at stake.

claig · 02/01/2017 23:04

'Yes, people like Rex Tillerson'

Rex Tillerson is a good man. He is not scared of it at all. But it all depends how far Trump wants to go and how much pressure the elites put him under to stop doing it and if he is able to tell them to take a hike. If he does, there will be panic among the elites and their entire servant class. We can only hope that Trump will go all the way, but I fear it may be a step too far even for him.

OP posts:
Lweji · 02/01/2017 23:05

Rex Tillerson is a good man

Evidence?
Because so far his Exxon record is against that idea.

DarthPlagueis · 02/01/2017 23:08

Ah of course Rex Tillerson is ok, he's a Trump appointee.

Under the spreading chestnut tree..

claig · 02/01/2017 23:09

'No I don't think anyone who said Trump had little chance of winning was clueless. '

I think the so-called "experts" whose job it is to understand politics were clueless and that is nearly our entire elite journalists and the entire BBC news staff etc

Rod Liddle saw it coming, but the ones that understood it were few and far between

"Rod Liddle Most of us saw Donald Trump’s victory coming – but the liberal elite have not learned anything since Brexit

They’re all gnashing their teeth at the outrage of it, wailing and weeping, says Sun columnist

WERE you surprised by Donald Trump’s victory in the US presidential election? Here’s my guess.

I’ll bet you were a hell of a lot less surprised than the opinion pollsters. Or the BBC. Or almost all our mainstream politicians. Or almost all the political commentators. You know — the people who really know their stuff."

www.thesun.co.uk/news/2153219/most-of-us-saw-donald-trumps-victory-coming-but-the-liberal-elite-have-not-learned-anything-since-brexit/

They don't understand the people's revolution, they don't even understand Trump and they don't understand the people.

OP posts:
Lweji · 02/01/2017 23:11

Believe me, there are many people who are very scared because we don't get second chances. If the Earth's climate keeps changing at this rate, this fast, nobody will be gloating about climate deniers tears. Or getting them in rooms and calling them liars. Probably not even opening investigations over cover ups or fake news.
We'll all be very busy trying to survive and remedying your mess

claig · 02/01/2017 23:12

'Rex Tillerson is a good man

Evidence? '

Because everybody, apart from posibly the Guardian, speaks extremely highly of him. They all say he is an excellent salesman, has immense charm and can get on with all world leaders who personally like him. Sounds like a great guy for the job to represent the United States and enhance its image and influence across the globe.

OP posts:
Kaija · 02/01/2017 23:12

Rex Tillerson is not the elite then?

Lweji · 02/01/2017 23:14

So, when Trump thought he'd lose, he was clueless too?

Trump was very lucky with the timing of the election and had a few helping hands, in the FBI and certain selective hackers.

claig · 02/01/2017 23:15

'Rex Tillerson is not the elite then?'

Absolutely not. Started as an ordinary kid in Texas, joined Exxon and worked his way up from the bottom and became the top guy because he had top talent.

OP posts:
Kaija · 02/01/2017 23:16

Everyone speaks highly of him? Well it's true that Putin gave him a medal, and is very keen on his ambitions for Arctic oil and gas. I suppose that must be who you were thinking of.

Kaija · 02/01/2017 23:17

I see the definition of elite has just done another somersault.

Lweji · 02/01/2017 23:17

Who's "they all". Is it like the all who never thought Trump could win?
I've read a lot more than the Guardian about him and he's NOT a good person.

And as for getting along with all world leaders, first, getting a friendship award from Putin is enough to inspire suspicion. Then I dare you to check that video about Chad.
Let me know how good he is.

claig · 02/01/2017 23:17

'So, when Trump thought he'd lose, he was clueless too?'

He didn't think he would lose. He wasn't sure what the outcome would be.

'Trump was very lucky with the timing of the election and had a few helping hands, in the FBI and certain selective hackers.'

There were ups and downs, but Trump had the entire world's political class and the entire world's media against him and he still won because he had the legendary Trump fans on his side.

OP posts:
Kaija · 02/01/2017 23:19

Anyway, one last thought for the night. This one's from the people. Not the elite.

Trump (Part 7)
claig · 02/01/2017 23:20

'I suppose that must be who you were thinking of.'

Putin is one person who gets on well with Rex Tillerson, but it is said that everybody from Egypt to Indonesia gets on with him because he has great charm and diplomatic skills. He is yet another top businessman which is what populists want, not these "career politicans" who serve the elites.

OP posts:
claig · 02/01/2017 23:22

'Then I dare you to check that video about Chad.'

I don't know about Chad. But if it is skullduggery, then that is how power is.

OP posts:
Megatherium · 02/01/2017 23:24

Just looked at Piers Corbyn's twitter. Warning it is not "politically correct". He is a socialist but a rare one, he is not "politically correct". If they had more like him, or if his brother was more like him, then they could win once again.

Proof positive therefore that so-called political correctness doesn't stop anyone saying whatever they want to about climate change.

claig · 02/01/2017 23:26

"At least Donald Trump scared the elites

Donald Trump’s real accomplishment is this: He has terrified the establishment.

And maybe that’s a good thing."

www.thestar.com/opinion/commentary/2016/11/09/at-least-donald-trump-scared-the-elites-walkom.html

"Fear Grips the Media Elite

The progressives in the mainstream media are petrified — quaking at the thought of a president who will actually put the interests of American people above those of left-wing ideologues and multinational corporations. And now liberal talking heads have raised their hysterical hyperbole to soaring heights in the wake of Donald Trump’s acceptance speech."

OP posts:
Lweji · 02/01/2017 23:27

He wasn't sure what the outcome would be.

So, still as clueless as all the other clueless people who did know either.

But he did say he thought he had lost.
""So I sort of thought I lost, and I was OK with that,”"

But then in one of his post-truth, history rewriting somersaults, today he's saying he knew he'd win big.

'Proof positive therefore that so-called political correctness doesn't stop anyone saying whatever they want to about climate change.'

Megatherium, Dr Piers Corbyn is one of a kind, a socialist who dares to challenge the elites and call them out for their scams. There aren't many Piers Corbyns around, his brother is OK, but nothing like Piers. Piers should recive an MBE for services to the truth and to the people, not some of these party apparatchiks rewarded for services to the Remain campaign.

Unfortunately some people are too frightened to say what they think about climate change in case they are howled down and mocked by the illiterati who have been conned by the Oxbridge graduates on the Guardian.
