Even more Trump.

There may be 4 years of this.
Try to keep it lighthearted and not snide, please.
It's Christmas.

'you dare not make those statements here for want of being banned ( and then what would you do all day?)'

What are you talking about? Are you accusing me of wanting to say things that would get me banned? What is your problem apart from being a Blairite?

But Obama had been in for 8 years and Clinton was part of his government, he still couldn't win a landslide.

Or as many votes as the last two losing republican candidates.

Loser.

Lweji · 02/01/2017 20:40

Meanwhile back on planet Earth:

Do I hear the charidee klaxon?

claig · 02/01/2017 20:43

'Do I hear the charidee klaxon?'

I missed that. Was the Clinton Foundation mentioned?

Life stopped making sense under Blair, Cameron, Hillary, Obama. People went off to find out why. Trump came later, having correctly worked out the solutions to this.

What are you going on about?
Life stopped making sense? It's not life that's not making sense.

Lweji · 02/01/2017 20:44

No, darling. Trump's charidee.

DarthPlagueis · 02/01/2017 20:49

Oh, yes the Charidee, that isn't allowed to fold because its under investigation.

Life stopped making sense ? I'd agree there, but I'd watch Hypernormaisation to understand why, and realise that Trump has been at the forefront of it all along.

Lweji · 02/01/2017 20:51

Apologies, the link was to Eric's charidee.
Buy he's only following his dad's example.

fourmummy · 02/01/2017 20:57

I've seen it. Not as good as Bitter Lake, which explains a lot (the US-Saudi link).

Lweji · 02/01/2017 20:59

Don't worry. Just wait till Trump gets some power.
The way he's preparing it, the Washington swamp will look like a puddle.

claig · 02/01/2017 21:06

'the Washington swamp will look like a puddle'

Absolutely, after Trump has drained it.

OP posts:
DarthPlagueis · 02/01/2017 21:07

Or it will be a lake as he is adding to it right now. All establishment characters.

Lweji · 02/01/2017 21:10

The Washington swamp will seem like a puddle compared to Trump swamp.

Tell me who's going to drain any swamp if Trump's businesses and charidees are the epitome of swamp.

claig · 02/01/2017 21:15

'Tell me who's going to drain any swamp if Trump's businesses and charidees are the epitome of swamp.'

Media lies, usual stuff, same old game, elite up to their usual tricks.

“There’s nothing necessarily wrong with contracting with businesses you own,” said Philip Hackney, an associate professor of law at Louisiana State University’s Paul M. Hebert Law Center, and a former employee in the IRS’s Exempt Organizations unit.

It becomes problematic, Hackney said, when a charity claims to send 100 percent of donations to an intended beneficiary, but routes some of that money through their own business without fully disclosing that fact to donors."

Eric Trump held some charity functions in Trump properties and paid for the hire of those halls etc. So what?

OP posts:
claig · 02/01/2017 21:19

"Of course, viewed through the prism of his father’s questionable philanthropic practices, Eric Trump’s foundation seems downright angelic. Eric Trump’s foundation operates with almost no overhead: Eric neither pays himself nor his board members and relies on Trump Organization employees who volunteer for whatever the foundation may need. Most importantly, Eric Trump’s charity has, over the last 10 years according to its tax reports, raised $6.5 million for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, a beloved Tennessee-based nonprofit that treats children with catastrophic diseases free-of-charge. That figure nearly doubles, when you include the year-long fundraisers utilizing Trump hotels—where guests are encouraged to donate and buy special services, a percentage of which goes to St. Jude—and employees, who both contribute their money and volunteer their time by competing in company-wide contests and organizing events like car washes, bake sales, and walk-a-thons, to raise cash that goes straight to the hospital—over $600,000 this past year, according to ETF’s executive director, Paige Scardigli."

If what has been alleged is true the problem comes because this would be a violation of Internal Revenue Service rules on charity, which prohibit those who operate charities from making a profit off them. Those regulations also discourage board members and those associated with a charity from steering monies to organizations close or related to them, out of concern over self-dealing.

Its funny how the media always lie about Trump and his family, that they have never done anything wrong.

Almost like you've been brainwashed.

Under the spreading Chestnut Tree...

claig · 02/01/2017 21:22

'Almost like you've been brainwashed'

How can I be? I don't read the Guardian

OP posts:
Lweji · 02/01/2017 21:22

Such a hypocrite. He paid handsomely and while claiming 100% went to charity.

Trump's business and foundation problems are not lies by media and you know it.

Lweji · 02/01/2017 21:25

where guests are encouraged to donate and buy special services, a percentage of which goes to St. Jude

What percentage?

And what's the mark up on those special services?

claig · 02/01/2017 21:25

'Trump's business and foundation problems are not lies by media and you know it.'

I don't believe it. Trump, the 45th President of the United States, says it is politically motivated. When it all comes out, my guess is it will be shown to be filing errors and minor things blown out of all proportion by the Establishment's teams.

OP posts:
DarthPlagueis · 02/01/2017 21:28

How can you be brainwashed?

Your unwavering unquestioning faith in Trump's magnificence despite all of the evidence to the contrary? The fact that any critique or problem is "lies", that the independent media have a conspiracy? The inability to apply any critical thinking at all?

Yeah that would indicate brain washing.

claig · 02/01/2017 21:28

'What percentage?
And what's the mark up on those special services?'

No idea, but contrary to media reports, my guess is that it will all be found to be above board and Trump will say that the media are a "room full of liars" and having seen some of the media's coverage, I can see Trump's point.

OP posts:
Lweji · 02/01/2017 21:29

I don't believe it. Trump, the 45th President of the United States, says it is politically motivated.

See? It's Blair all over again.

You ignore facts and evidence and simply belive his word. You're a prime target for con artists.

And BTW, just because what you wanted happened a few times, it doesn't mean you actually predicted it.

DarthPlagueis · 02/01/2017 21:30

Yes they're all liars, of course..

Or you're brainwashed.

claig · 02/01/2017 21:31

'And BTW, just because what you wanted happened a few times, it doesn't mean you actually predicted it.'

Except I said I thought it would happen, not that I wanted it to happen. That is prediction. I also predict that the EU will be broken up within two years, that is my next prediction.
