Even more Trump.

There may be 4 years of this.
Try to keep it lighthearted and not snide, please.
It's Christmas.

Yes ... excuse meeeee....
on this thread... gnashing of teeth © Roussette Grin

But FYI its origins were this
that phrase “weeping and wailing and gnashing of teeth”—; it’s Ian Paisley. See, there he was, so we’re told—Ian Paisley, standing before a crowd, railing against his enemies, political and religious, pounding on the pulpit—this was in the days when he was at the very top of his game—and he’s telling ‘em all about the bowels of hell “where there will be weeping and wailing and gnashing of tee-ith!” And a little voice comes from the back of the crowd: “But I haven’t got any teeth, Dr. Paisley.” “Teeth?”, the firebrand yells back, “Teeth will be provided!”

I'm dyring to know too Swedish. It doesn't bode well does it... what is going to be unleashed now political correctness is no more according to claig...

Megatherium · 02/01/2017 17:01

But we're on the right track because we have got the idiots off our backs.

You have noticed that people like Grayling, Duncan-Smith and Johnson are in the Cabinet, haven't you?

claig · 02/01/2017 17:08

'I'm still intrigued as to what claig is so desperate to say that "political correctness" prevents them from saying atm'

Don't worry, it is nothing racist. I am not a racist or a bigot.

Political correctness is a control mechanism to move the Overton window to the elite's liking in order to suppress dissent, be that over climate change, unisex toilets, immigration and public policy on thousands of issues. It is how the spinners who work for the elites manage the masses and "nudge" them to accept what the elite has got planned for them.

Some people will always speak out against it e.g Farage or Trump, but many others will be quelled into silence for fear of reproval which is how the elite manage to subtly control the narrative and the agenda. It is an attempt to destroy freedom.

As it slowly encroaches on more and more policy even the puppet politicians are scared to challenge the consenus and those that dare are ostracised as "fruitcakes and loons" and that is how their points of view are marginalised.

That is what they had planned but Trump killed it, he ended it, it is all over and common sense policies can once again be discussed. It is a slow process to get all our freedoms back because the elites are still trying to control the narrative as best they can and object to the "tone" when any Old Labour supporter tweets about "Red Tories" etc, but it will now come to an end as Trump has defeated the elites.

I agree Darth. I didn't feel let down by Blair either. But I didn't think he was going to save the world. Its been 6 months since Brexit. In his first term Blair introduced the minimum wage and equal age of consent. I am still waiting for any actual changes to the lives of the people post Brexit. Perhaps it's a slow revolution.

Missswatch · 02/01/2017 17:09

Lol. Sarah Nyberg highlighting stupidity when she is stupid enough to admit to being a paedophile? What's worse is the SJW's and snowflakes love her

DarthPlagueis · 02/01/2017 17:15

I disagree Claig, the overton window has become more and more right wing over the years.

"that over climate change, unisex toilets, immigration and public policy on thousands of issues. "

Being anti political correctness is not about that or about breaking people free from any kind of control. Its confirming to people that their prejudices are correct. Every time some thing is raised factually it can be dealt with factually, the impact of immigration, the impact of climate change etc. All were disputed and actually dealt with very well by the opposing sides in both votes, yet telling people that they are right resonates more.

Its a simple and easy message to give, not the complex answers, which relate to complex issues.

Its why like with brexit, trump voters are going to be frustrated and disappointed in the end.

SwedishEdith · 02/01/2017 17:16

No, it's not. It's perfectly possible to discuss those subjects - plenty of threads on here do just that.

Megatherium · 02/01/2017 17:16

Claig, what do you want to say about over climate change, unisex toilets, immigration and public policy that you can't now say?

DarthPlagueis · 02/01/2017 17:17

Lol Misswatch "snowflake" you mean like the vice president elect? Or the President Elect himself?

BertrandRussell · 02/01/2017 17:17

Claig? I read your post aloud
political correctness and I still don't understand. Can you give some
examples of the sorts of things you mean?

OhYouBadBadKitten · 02/01/2017 17:20

Missswatch, you have a strange style of posting. You seem to be stuck on alternating random insults with trump slogans again.

BertrandRussell · 02/01/2017 17:20

For example, you mention climate change. Are you under the impression that people who deny climate changed are being silenced? Because it certainly doesn't seem that way to me!

claig · 02/01/2017 17:23

'I disagree Claig, the overton window has become more and more right wing over the years. '

Only now that Trump has won. Common sense has now been restored because Trump, the 45th President of the United States, says that "I refuse to be politically correct".

That means it is the end of it and that other puppet politicians across the planet will have their chains removed and the elites can no longer control thought a la Big Brother. Trump is Winston, but Trump beat Big Brother, so it is all over.

OP posts:
DarthPlagueis · 02/01/2017 17:24

I think its actually a clever tactic, you tell people that they aren't allowed to talk about something and that you are being "brave" and "telling it like it is" by doing so.

All of the topics identified by Claig are debated all the time, the problem comes when those on one side find themselves unable to counter the factual and reasoned argument so respond with hyperbole.

What "ending political correctness" actually means is people are allowed to hold an opinion and make decisions based on that opinion no matter how counter factual that opinion is.

DarthPlagueis · 02/01/2017 17:25

If you think Winston won then you haven't read the book properly.

DarthPlagueis · 02/01/2017 17:26

In fact maybe that is what has happened.

You are Winston and Trump is big brother and you have grown to love him, you are ready for the bullet.

"Under the spreading chestnut tree
I sold you and you sold me
There lie they, and here lie we
Under the spreading chestnut tree"

Ontopofthesunset · 02/01/2017 17:28

Also, and I know I said I wouldn't post and may be getting sidetracked, why are unisex toilets so good for the elites and so bad for the people? I'm so confused about all of this.

Anyway, I suspectTrump is really more of Democrat in Rebuplican clothing. He probably doesn't give a flying brick-in-the-imaginary-border-wall about unisex toilets. But he knows some people do.

Tell 'em what they want to hear. Repeat it till they believe you mean it. Repeat ad nauseam. That's what plays well before the election.

You do have to hand it to him. He is hiding in plain sight.

Missswatch · 02/01/2017 17:31

m.dw.com/en/cologne-police-defend-new-years-eve-security-tactics/a-36969904

It is clearly not PC to say that racial profiling worked this new year. Make your minds up. Do you want rapes and sexual assaults to be prevented or not?

The SJW's are having another meltdown because the police did their job

claig · 02/01/2017 17:34

'Are you under the impression that people who deny climate changed are being silenced? Because it certainly doesn't seem that way to me!'

To understand teh entire people's revolution and teh whole Trump phenomenon, you have to accept one basic thing which Trump said

"we are led by very, very stupid people"

If you don't accept that and you think they are clever people with common sense, then you are not on the Trump Train and not part of the people's revolution, you will continue voting for the current political class until the cows come home because you see no problem with them.

Once you realise that Trump was right and that they really are idiots, then you have to wonder why they are idiots. They all come from Oxbridge, so how can they be idiots. Clearly they have the capacity not to be.

Many of their policies are idiotic and based on spin and lies. Why?

Because of groupthink, elite groupthink, what Nassim Taleb described as "intellectuals yet idiots" and when you get to the bottom of why groupthink, you get to political correctness and social disapproval which is how teh BBC and media and elites create the phenomenon of Shy Tories, Shy Trumpers or Shy Kippers, because many people refuse to say "the emperor has no clothes" and that the political class are idiots for fear of social disapproval. That is how the elites control the agenda, through spin and thought control and nudging based on socail approval and political correctness.

Teh elite have an agenda, worked out in think tanks for years and years. Trump knows teh agenda, globalisation being just a part of it, and he has entered politics and killed the elite's agenda (shored up by political correctness). That is why they fear Trump so much and why there have been so many tears and why the BBC was so anti Trump throughout its coverage.

They tried everything they could to stop Trump but they lost, we won. That is why Robert Peston says it is "an earthquake". You can't underestimate what has happened and what it means for our liberty and for the return of common sense.

Dr Piers Corbyn, Jeremy Corbyn's brother, denies manmande climate change and while he can tweet it, he is rarely, if ever, invited on BBC Newsnight to explain why, whereas some government Oxbridge minister without a science degree (and preferably with a PPE) will be invited to tell us why we have to close all our gas plants by 2030 or whatever Ed Sillyband wanted to do.

OP posts:
Megatherium · 02/01/2017 17:39

The fact that the BBC doesn't choose one particular individual on to discuss manmade climate change is no evidence of political correctness stifling free speech. No-one has an innate right to any give platform. They haven't invited me on either, but that doesn't affect my right to free speech one iota. Having Trump in power doesn't mean that anyone who wants a platform in a national broadcasting service will be able to have that platform on demand, either.

DarthPlagueis · 02/01/2017 17:40

There has been no revolution.

The 1984 references are apt, but not for the reasons you think they are.

BertrandRussell · 02/01/2017 17:43

So an example of political correctness is a specific climate change denier not being asked to appear on Newsnight?

claig · 02/01/2017 17:45

'They haven't invited me on either, but that doesn't affect my right to free speech one iota'

I am not surprised. Unless you are someone with clout who fits the agenda, you won't be invited on, I guess. But Piers Corbyn knows more about it than Ed Sillyband.

'Having Trump in power doesn't mean that anyone who wants a platform in a national broadcasting service will be able to have that platform on demand, either.'

The reason the elites are so terrified of Trump and the BBC was in overdrive to try and misrepresent him to the public is because they all know that when Trump is President, he sets the agenda, he decides the priorities and if he chooses priorities that go against those followed by Sillyband and the teams, then it will be near enough curtains for those agendas and Trump will promote people like Farage and climate change sceptics etc via his tweets and meetings at Trump Tower etc and then it is game over for the luvvies, their goose will have been well and truly cooked.
