Even more Trump.

There may be 4 years of this.
Try to keep it lighthearted and not snide, please.
It's Christmas.

Morning all!

Just being educated or rich or working for Goldman Sachs or being an Oxbridge PPE doesn't mean you work for the elites as opposed to the people. The people want intelligent people to work for them, that is why they voted Trump in, and Trump is Ivy League as well as being in a league of his own when you compare him to Cameron, Blair, Bush and Clinton, let alone Nick Clegg. Trump's choices for cabinet positions will work for the people no matter how rich and clever they are and that is great.
When the people who caused the revolution of 2016 that shook the Oxbridge teams who serve the elites speak of the elites, they speak of the ones described in this article

From day one it's been impossible to identify the 'good' elites and the 'bad' elites. Nothing's changed then Claig. To me, it's just changing the rules or moving the goalposts according to how you feel when challenged about elites in Trumps chosen ones.

So DT is still having a laugh then with his tweets, glad to see he's taking this all seriously... not. As for saying he doesn't get offended, bloody hell claig are we talking about the same person. He can't stand criticism and tends to either sue, denigrate publicly, pull down, pay back anyone who dares to criticise him. He has several pending cases in different states even now. You'd think he'd have better things to do wouldn't you? Oh and yes let's not forget his appearance in court within the next week for a 7 hour deposition against a chef who has asked to settle out of court. That's still current. DT doesn't laugh it all off whatever you may think.

'BTW Milo has claimed to have had book deals before, they didn't lead anywhere.'

I read that it is already number one on the Amazon bestseller list with pre-orders and all the luvvies and celebs are trying to campaign against the publisher for daring to publish it.

Apparently the people doesn't include New York or California.
It would be interesting for the US if they seceded.
Nor does it include Scotland or Northern Ireland, or London, in the UK.

There was a vote. One side won. That's all.

I agree that the outcome could be revolutionary. We'll see.
But it was no victory of the people.
Just some people who voted for one set of elites.

claig · 02/01/2017 11:57

'I don't need a guardian jounralist to tel me that I'm wrong Claig.'

So you admit you are wrong? Or would you prefer a Daily Mail journalist to show you why?

Blair is a multi millionaire. He is not paniking. He will be fine. The people of Sunderland are not millionaires. Their situation remains unchanged. Your definition of winning is weird.

claig · 02/01/2017 11:59

'So DT is still having a laugh then with his tweets, glad to see he's taking this all seriously... not'

Of course he is, he always does, that is why Trump fans love him. Blair takes spin "seriously", Trump is so far above the level of Blair that Trump has a laugh.

DarthPlagueis · 02/01/2017 11:59

Like I said Milo has claimed he has had book deals before, no books have appeared as yet.

Much like the charity he set up that hasn't actually given any money away.

claig · 02/01/2017 12:01

'He can't stand criticism and tends to either sue, denigrate publicly, pull down, pay back anyone who dares to criticise him.'

That is the definition of "putting them in their place", reminding them of who is boss, who is President. He is not offended by them.

OP posts:

Oh, dear.
Being President is not being "boss".

"Here is Oxbridge Robert Peston, Establishment favourite, finally getting it right

"There has been a more effective revolt against the Establishment, against those now sneeringly denigrated as the liberal elite, than anything we've witnessed since the 1920s and 1930s.""

Good to see Claig finally owning the comparison with 30s fascism. Wondered how long it would take.

Women's march 21st Jan here for anyone who hasn't seen it: www.womensmarchlondon.com/

Lweji · 02/01/2017 12:07

On a side note, W and Quayle must be really pleased with the outcome of the elections.

They'll be light millenia behind Trump as the most prone and mocked President/VP in history.

claig · 02/01/2017 12:13

'But it was no victory of the people.'

It was a victory of the people over the elite, irrespective of how many people sided with the elite, the same as in Brexit where people sided with Cameron and his teams.

"Trump victory is a win for the little guy over the elite
...
Trump stands today as the greatest disrupter in modern politics, the winner of the biggest upset imaginable, but for most of the campaign, he was not even the best argument for his own candidacy. That distinction belonged to the millions upon millions of everyday Americans who found in him the bare-knuckled brawler they were desperately seeking."

nypost.com/2016/11/09/trump-victory-is-a-win-for-the-little-guy-over-the-elite/

"Rod liddle Most of us saw Donald Trump’s victory coming – but the liberal elite have not learned anything since Brexit

They’re all gnashing their teeth at the outrage of it, wailing and weeping, says Sun columnist"

www.thesun.co.uk/news/2153219/most-of-us-saw-donald-trumps-victory-coming-but-the-liberal-elite-have-not-learned-anything-since-brexit/

and if you prefer your politics with spin, here is the New Statesman

"Donald Trump's victory is a rude wake-up call for the elite"

www.newstatesman.com/world/north-america/2016/11/donald-trumps-victory-rude-wake-call-elite

This is the biggest revolution we have ever seen. Never before have the people beaten the elites in this manner. The elites are in full-blown panic mode, everything they planned in their think tanks for us for over 60 years has been torn up by Trump.

Oxbridge Robert Peston spells it out clearly

"But we should be in no doubt that there has been an earthquake and we are living through changes to our lives and livelihoods more important even than the momentous transfer of economic power from the state to the private sector by Thatcher and Reagan in the 1980s, and the consequent collapse of communism."

The elites and their servant class never imagined that the people could wake up and no longer be fooled by the spin of the BBC and the media teams. That is why the servant class felt brave enough to insult Trump with gleeful abandon and that is why they are all now in tatters.

OP posts:
Kaija · 02/01/2017 12:16

It's certainly a transfer of power. And not to the people.

birdsdestiny · 02/01/2017 12:22

They are not in tatters. What are you talking about. What is it the people have won. The lives of the people have not changed post Brexit and they won't change with Trump. If there is no discernible change in the lives of 'the people' then what is your definition of victory.

DarthPlagueis · 02/01/2017 12:26

There has been a disruption yes, but it isn't a victory of the people, more people voted for Hillary.

The similarities between Brexit and Trump is that a bunch of very rich, very elitist people used the politics of the lowest common denominator to win votes. It isn't hard to tell people that what they think is right, even if it isn't

Simple political expediency won here, nothing at the top will change, things for normal people are likely to get worse.

Lweji · 02/01/2017 12:27

Trump victory is a win for the little guy over the elite

What little guy?

When Trump supposedly saved those Carrier jobs the little guy who pointed out the reality behind his claims was demonised by Trump.
Trump who had forgotten about that promise. And Trump who bent over backwards to give tax breaks to the company instead of putting them in their place as he supposedly would do.

So, which little guy?

Kaija · 02/01/2017 12:31

"The similarities between Brexit and Trump is that a bunch of very rich, very elitist people used the politics of the lowest common denominator to win votes. It isn't hard to tell people that what they think is right, even if it isn't

Yes, or as another great propagandist put it:

"It would not be impossible to prove with sufficient repetition and a psychological understanding of the people concerned that a square is in fact a circle. They are mere words, and words can be molded until they clothe ideas and disguise."

It's all about repetition, as these threads demonstrate so neatly.

claig · 02/01/2017 12:33

birdsdestiny, please read some of the newspaper articles I have linked. I know many of them are from Establishment favourites, but that doesn't mean they are necessarily wrong. Even Oxbridge Robert Peston , former BBC favourite, recognises the enormity of what has happened.

The people knew how enormous and important it was all along, it is only now that the Establishment commentators have had to admit the enormity, otherwise they will look stupid and even fewer of the people will take them seriously than do now.

'What is it the people have won'

They have defeated the elites, with all their money and media and Oxbridge teams. You cannot underestimate the enormity of the revolution. The entire narrative and agenda of the elites has been dismantled and tossed away by the people. The best laid plans of mice and elites have crumbled to dust, all the schemes they wanted to implement for us are finished. Their plans to strip the people of their sovereignty, to introduce their Inner Party Big Brother EU state are over because democratic self-governance has been restored and no amount of their media and Oxbridge teams can ever fool the people that they are better off governed by unelected bureaucrats and bankers in Brussels and at the ECB anymore.

The old system has collapsed, the Establishment has collapsed, all the servant classes of the Establishment who insulted Trump gleefully have been made to look stupid and are now practising how to bow and scrape appropriately.

They will all have to now pay lip service to the people and will have to change their ways because they all now know that the people are onto them and understand their game and understand that Trump defeated the lot of them, after we defeated them in Brexit.

OP posts:
Kaija · 02/01/2017 12:37

And for an excellent example of how "words can be molded until they clothe ideas and disguise" look no further than the shape shifting use of the words "elite" and "people" on this thread.

Roussette · 02/01/2017 12:38

Does Peston know about your no. 1 fan obsession with him? I think 'Peston' is going to become Claig's Word of 2017.

DarthPlagueis · 02/01/2017 12:40

"we defeated them in brexit"

Ah yes that well known victory of the people which was backed by billionaires, inherited wealth, tax dodgers etc.

Farrage showed his respect for the little ordinary people, are you a low grade person Claig?

Kaija · 02/01/2017 12:41

And thanks to Claig for demonstrating the repetitious word-moulding propaganda techniques again there in that last post. Perfectly done.

claig · 02/01/2017 12:46

'Simple political expediency won here, nothing at the top will change, things for normal people are likely to get worse.'

Then why are the people at the top so panicked? Why has Blair allegedly received funding to make a fightback for the Establishment and the "muscular centre" he dreams he can resurrect against the people's revolution?

Why does James Forsyth, Oxbridge, political editor of the Spectator say the Establishment "fears" the coming elections? Why does he say that Brexit was a revolution?

It is because none of the elites wanted it and none of their servant class expected it. They tried everything to stop the people. They called the people thick, uneducated, bigots and probably bastards as they drank champagne in their clubs and laughed with the elites who mocked the ordinary people. They threw Punishment Budgets at the people, they gathered every member of the great and the hood they could find across the planet and they duly told us that it would be the "end of Western Civilization" if we didn't do as we were told. The only reason they didn't invoke plagues of locusts is probably because they hadn't thought of that.

We beat them, we beat their threats and scares and now James Forsyth says that they "fear" the coming elections.

2017: Europe's year of rage
Across the continent, the pro-EU establishment has reason to fear the coming year's elections

www.spectator.co.uk/2016/12/2017-europes-year-of-rage/

www.spectator.co.uk/2016/12/brexit-is-a-revolution-and-itll-be-decades-before-we-know-its-worked/

Certainly not. I am one of the people, not like Blair.

Farage certainly did this - "low-grade people" etc. Not much evidence of anyone else doing it.
