More on the meaning of Trump, the Trumpsters and Trumpism

OP posts:
squishysquirmy · 29/11/2016 11:22

If I judge a party or person as racist, it is because of the racist things they say and do Chris.

"they have the only political party in the world that calls themselves a Scottish National Party" .... er, why would other parts of the world want a Scottish national party?

squishysquirmy · 29/11/2016 11:23

Would you describe yourself as a feminist Chris?

squishysquirmy · 29/11/2016 11:25

And you never answered my question much earlier about Britain First forums......

squishysquirmy · 29/11/2016 11:26

"....there is more gnashing of teeth than when Gnasher spotted the postman in the Beano...." Ah, finally you reference something you've actually read Claig. Wink

squishysquirmy · 29/11/2016 11:29

Her's a funny Castro article if anyone wants some light relief...
www.thedailymash.co.uk/news/international/castro-successfully-outlived-america-20161128117990
(It's a joke by the way before anyone starts frothing).

claig · 29/11/2016 12:15

This is the best speech Trump ever made. It will be played and quoted for centuries to come and will rank with Eisenhower on the Military Industrial Complex, Kennedy on Secret Societies and Reagan on "I'm from the government and I'm here to help"

This is what it was all about. This is why they fear Trump so much. This is why the BBC hates Trump, this is why puppets from Oxbridge insult Trump. This is why the entire global elite is more frightened than ever. This is why we the people love Trump.

Trump this "this is an existential threat" to the elites.

They will lie to you and tell you that it is about a 16 year "whizzkid" in Macedonia, about paid pro Putin trolls, about "white supremacism" and as our Oxbridge Guardian greats say "a whitelash". Cover your ears from the siren calls of the liars and spinners, even if they say "I'm from Oxbridge and I'm here to help". Don't believe them. Watch and learn the truth they say is "fake news".

I guarantee you have never seen a speech like this ever and never will again.

Alyosha · 29/11/2016 12:22

Donald Trump even crazier on Twitter this morning.

Total disregard for freedom of speech and democratic norms.

Can't cope with being mocked by CNN ,how will he cope with being mocked by Putin, China or another power?

(Spoiler alert: it involves Nukes)

FrostyLeaves · 29/11/2016 12:37

If mockery bugged him that much surely he'd have changed his hair by now. He has the money.

OhYouBadBadKitten · 29/11/2016 13:00

Trump chose some pretty dodgy election campaign people didn't he? who he then sacked. I think he has sacked quite a lot of people i need his life time. I'm not sure therefore we can say he makes infallible choices.

OhYouBadBadKitten · 29/11/2016 13:03

bloody ipad, it's not been the same since the cat licked it. I need his should say in his.

Southallgirl · 29/11/2016 14:47

Alyosha and Squishy - Do you really not have a grasp of scale or proportion? If your house was suffering subsidence, would you really be installing a new kitchen? You are both droning on about bad behaviour & dirty language and ignoring Trump possibly make a fine president.

Bill C. was just the same, and he even had state troopers bring pretty girls to his hotel room who may wish to get to know him better.

Let the Americans get their country on better tracks.

Southallgirl · 29/11/2016 14:57

What about electro shock therapy of gay people Claig? Where do you stand on that?

Instead of putting out one-liner questions like this, let's hear where YOU stand on this issue.

Alyosha · 29/11/2016 15:00

Bill C went mad on a publicly available forum, said he was fascinated by Nukes and threatened to strip citizenship from people if they burnt the American flag?

Southallgirl · 29/11/2016 15:03

Squishy has missed he point about the Scottish NATIONAL Party never being called racist despite that word.

Ontopofthesunset · 29/11/2016 15:09

But why would someone who uses 'dirty language' and shows 'bad behaviour' (your minimising words - he's not a little boy in a playground, though his sulky pout and tweets may indicate otherwise) make a fine President? How can we judge people if not by what they say and what they do? It's like some bizarre doublethink world where you are able to twist anything to mean whatever you want it to.

If a man says about a woman (or indeed another man) 'Could anyone vote for that? Look at that face', are we supposed to see it as a joke? If it is a joke, the man has bad judgment. It it isn't a joke, the man has terrible judgment and bases his decisions on very superficial things. If he just wasn't thinking, he has poor impulse control. If he didn't mean it but wanted to wind people up, he is a dangerous populist. There is not one way that you could interpret that statement that shows DJT in a good light.

Southallgirl · 29/11/2016 15:18

There is not a binary choice between being Islamophobic and colluding with sexual assault though

This constant pushing to the side what happened on NY Eve and continues to happen to women in Europe is a good example of RL thinking, i.e. it's not good, but then again rape does exist doesnt it type of attitude.

It is truly dreadful, and not getting to grips with such race attacks on European women, I think, is just as much to do with the fear of what is happening as it is about being PC.

I do not want this type of cultural diversity for my children and grandchildren. Do you?

www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3436988/Mother-ten-year-old-boy-raped-Austrian-swimming-pool-Iraqi-said-sexual-emergency-says-regrets-telling-children-migrants-need-help.html

Alyosha · 29/11/2016 15:21

Southall, you only care about sexual assault when muslims do it. It's just a way of scoring political points for you, you don't care about the victims.

I care about it when Muslims & Trump do it...

Southallgirl · 29/11/2016 15:30

Alyosha - Until NY Eve we in the West hv never seen such a coordinated attack by people from overseas who had come to another country and been supported by it. Cant you understand that that was unprecedented?

It was a mass sex attack but only against German and other European women. The men did not attack Asians, Africans, or ME for example. Do you get it? I am very interested in women's safety and in fact many years ago worked with Erin Pizzey - so dont make sweeping statements about me.

The personifiation of someone who does not care are on this thread - diminishing all the time with mealy-mouthed, over-used phrases. It is YOU who cares nothing about how women's ability to go about their life unhindered and unmolested is under severe threat. The main point of the Cologne attacks was to 'persuade' women to stay indoors.

Kaija · 29/11/2016 16:32

Good article here from a few weeks ago by corrupt global elite journalist Masha Gessen on how to survive an autocracy (and she should know).

Note rule number one: believe the autocrat, however outlandish his threats and promises.

www.nybooks.com/daily/2016/11/10/trump-election-autocracy-rules-for-survival/

Claig and Spinflight, I think you're going to love it.

Kaija · 29/11/2016 16:41

And another good article here by corrupt global elite philosopher AC Grayling. Chiefly about Brexit, but concerning the use of slogan and repetition as persuasive devices, and why they work, so equally applicable to Trump:

http://www.theneweuropean.co.uk/articles/howyouucanturnnalieeintoaatruthaccordinggtotheesinisterbrexittplaybook114795738?platform=hootsuite

Alyosha · 29/11/2016 16:57

Southall, you don't care that Trump molested & abused many women, made sexual comments about his daughters.

I think the cologne attacks were awful and were very likely due to the retrograde attitudes towards women from the countries those men came from.

But I have got my fair share of street harassment (mostly in the UK) & groping (mostly in Ukraine actually!!), and despite the fact that migrant men from the ME are not the only ones sexually attacking women they're the ones you care about.

Why don't you care that a self confessed serial sex abuser has been elected president?

squishysquirmy · 29/11/2016 17:00

If my house was suffering from subsidence, Southall, I wouldn't hire an incompetent insane arsonist to fix it.

And I didn't miss the point about the SNP.
I judge people and party's by their words and behaviour.

Kaija · 29/11/2016 17:21

Rape and sexual violence happen in all cultures, but cultural attitudes to sexual violence will affect both the frequency with which offences occur and how seriously they are dealt with.

What do you think the effect on cultural attitudes towards sexual violence will be when the president himself boasts of sexual assault, or publicly disparages his female interviewer by referring to "blood coming out of her whatever", and is still considered fit for office?

squishysquirmy · 29/11/2016 17:36

Aloha, you've articulated it beautifully - much better than I could.

You're not going to get anyone on here disagreeing with about how horrific Cologne was South. But you are the one dismissing Trump's admitting to sexual assault as "that's just how alpha males are".
