Into the final lap now after over 1 year of entertainment, education and excitement. Donald J Trump is nearly there against all expectations.

'With your endless research, can you point to anyone else that has been imprisoned (or even convicted on criminal charges) for a similar offence?'

Trump constantly cites young US service personnel doing time in jail now for having classified material on them without authorisation, the mother has been interviewed on Fox. Trump cites four star generals who are facing 5 years in jail for lying once to the FBI. His twitter stream is full of him tweetng those things and saying Hillary should go to jail.

Rudy Giuliani could possibly become Trump's Attorney General. They all know each other, but if Trump pushes for an investigation, then it will be serious and it will not just be the Clintons, it will suck in a lot of the elites and it will be a big cleanup of what Trump says is a "corrupt, rigged system". That is why so many elites are terrified of Trump.

Is Trump just politics as usual, is he just a member f the "political class" or does he believe his rhetoric abou the "corrupt system" and "the corrupt global establishment", Crooked Hillary and the corrupt elite? We will find out in a few days' time if Trump wins and the world may never have seen the like of it.

OP posts:
claig · 06/11/2016 11:25

Trump said "Hillary Clinton is a vessel for the corrupt global establishment that is raiding our country".

Trump says "not gonna happen any more"

I don't think Trump is mucking about. Trump is for real and that is why the elites worldwide are in panic, because it won't just be the corrupt elites in the US that Trump will sort out. If the global elite have been "raiding our countrty" as Trump says, then woe betide them.

OP posts:
claig · 06/11/2016 11:27

Trump is likely to look into all of the "pay for play" that the global elite did in making donations to what are called charidees run by the political class. The world will never have seen anything like it. There will never have been so much running for the hills worldwide by the elites and their entourages.

Go Trumpsters!

OP posts:
flowersandsunshine · 06/11/2016 11:28

Great. Trump is 'for real'. The man who wonders why the US isn't using nuclear weapons more is 'for real'.

Tha man is a fascist. People who support him are either a) fascist sympathisers or b) incredibly stupid and naive and being used.

Which one are you, claig? Or you, fourmummy?

lightingseeds · 06/11/2016 11:29

Those are not equivalent cases, claig. Clinton's case is about using her own non-government email address for her official State Department correspondence. That's not classified information - that's on a separate system (I actually know about these things). Clinton had been accused (though it's not been remotely established) of failing to ensure that all correspondence was formally filed as it should be. Once again, this is not a criminal offence.

I find your positions fascinating, claig, and I think you argue them with grace and humour (even when they're really quite indefensible!). It's unfair when some on here insult you but I do see why people get frustrated and lose their cool eventually v

lljkk · 06/11/2016 11:33

I am US voter living in UK with lots of US family. I do have skin in the game.

tbh, I have a rule of thumb to hide Claig threads because C. just drones on & on, with a world view that adds no value to my life.

DT makes no bones about being self-serving and why that is a good thing. Confused I don't blame him for being self-serving. I do fault DT for encouraging violence, encouraging cyber-espionage to further his own political ambitions, encouraging intimidation by his followers, and disrespecting election procedures, the CIA, the FBI & anyone else trying to implement rule of law.

Now where is that HIDE button.

claig · 06/11/2016 11:40

"Clinton brushes off report that her private server contained highly classified intel"

edition.cnn.com/2016/01/19/politics/hillary-clinton-emails-server-classified-ig-report/index.html

There are reports saying that there is a 99% chance that her server was hacked by 5 foreign intelligence services.

It is serious. Obama's Attorney General. Loretta Lynch, is said by Judge Jeanine to have not enabled a full FBI enquiry. Comey had to come out with a statement 11 days out from the election, which is unprecedented, about investigation because it is said that there was a rebellion among lower ranks of the FBI and the NYPD allegedly saying that some of their investigators might other wise hold a press conference about the emails on Weiner's laptop.

It is being said that there are 650,000 emails on that laptop and that they may contain the deleted 33,000 emails. It is said that some of teh NYPD were disgusted by what they found on Weiner's laptop. I don't know if this is all the case, but if Trump wins, I think it will all come out.

'It's unfair when some on here insult you but I do see why people get frustrated and lose their cool eventually v'

Thanks lighningseeds. I try not to make it personal. It is just about politics, the world, society and who governs us all. It is not personal between any of us. We only see glimpse of what ges on behind the curtain at the elite level, but it looks like Trump is going to pull the curtain back further and what comes out may rock the world and send elites stampeding for the hills in a mad, frenzied Gadarene rush.

What has the content of Weiner's server got to do with this? At all?

claig · 06/11/2016 11:51

'What has the content of Weiner's server got to do with this? At all?'

It contains emails from Hillary's server, including it is speculated emails that are "new" i.e. ones that were thought to be deleted against the subpoena issued by Congress to hand over all material. It is said it may contain the entire 33,000 deleted emails. It is on an unsecure laptop with a router that it is claimed was unsecure etc

General Mike Flynn, a Trump backer, and once said to have been a possible Trump VP pick, which would have been brilliant, but didn't happen, is a briliant US general, former head of the Defense Intelligence Agency (the DIA), and he said on Fox the other day that Weiner possibly kept this info on his laptop as a "get out of jail card" for his own case which the NYPD are looking into about sexting an underage girl etc

flowersandsunshine · 06/11/2016 11:53

claig, how can you support a fascist? How can you support someone who is incredibly overtly racist, misogynist and corrupt? Someone who repeatedly tells massive lies to his supporters? Someone who rails against the rule of law and the foundations of democracy? Someone who repeatedly incites violence?

The fact that Hillary is not perfect doesn't make Trump OK.

Our democracy (or "the Establishment" as you seem to prefer to call it) isn't perfect. But as Churchill said, "Democracy is the worst form of government except for all the others."

There's no point seeking to get rid of democracy/the 'Establishment' only to replace it with something infinitely worse. Trump is infinitely worse.

I guess you know that the character of Biff in Back To The Future movies was based on Trump. If you want to know what life under a Trump presidency would look like, you only have to watch Back To The Future 2. Is that really your positive image for where you want America to go?

www.theguardian.com/film/2015/oct/23/back-to-the-future-writer-bad-guy-biff-was-based-on-donald-trump

flowersandsunshine · 06/11/2016 11:58

If you want to persuade people to vote for Trump rather than Hillary, you have to come up with any convincing positive reasons to vote for Trump. There are none. The man is an ignorant, lying, violent, racist, misogynist, failed businessman of a fascist.

On the other side, Hillary may have used an internet server inappropriately.

It's hardly equal.

Anyone who looks at those two individuals and concludes 'Oh well, she may have used a server inappropriately. Got to be the racist, sexist, violent, lying, failed businessman of a fascist, then, needs their head seeing to.

lightingseeds · 06/11/2016 12:02

Claig, your comment was about the NYPD being 'disgusted' by what they found on Weiner's computer. That was presumably child exploitation related (if true, I have no idea). My question is what has that to do with this discussion. That's nothing to do with the Clinton emails.

claig · 06/11/2016 12:04

flowers, I don't think he is a fascist and nor do the millions of Americans, Mayor Rudy Giuliani, Governor Jan Brewer, Governor Mike Huckabee and many other good people who support him. Our BBC and irresponsible media elites have pushed this message. The corrupt elites are frightened of Trump cleaning up the pay for play charidee corruption scandals which implicate them in what Judge Jeanine calls a RICO case, and that may be onlt the half of it. We will find out if Trump wins.

And when Trump wins, our BBC and our media will have to tone down their racist, fascist talk abut the President of the United States elected by the American people, and they will all start having to learn some respect for that great office and that great country.

OP posts:
claig · 06/11/2016 12:09

lightingseeds, Comey, head of the FBI, mentioned investigation not into Weiner himself, because the NYPD is already investigating him. He mentioned investigation that impacts Hillary which is why Hillary and her team have said he was wrong to do that so near the election.

'That's nothing to do with the Clinton emails.'

No one yet knows. But there are reports on Breitbart of people saying that sources in the NYPD were disgusted by what they found and that they were possibly going to hld a press conference if Comey did not do something, which is what some are saying that Comey acted. It is not all about Weiner, it is bigger than that.

OP posts:
claig · 06/11/2016 12:14

Google breitabart nypd weiner and you can read about it

OP posts:
flowersandsunshine · 06/11/2016 12:23

No-one except for a few nutters believes anything written on far-right conspiracy websites like Breitbart. Any more than they believe stuff on far-left conspiracy sites like the Canary. You can't expect anyone to take a claim from that kind of source seriously.

You have still failed, claig, to give a single positive reason to vote for Trump, or why Trump is any better than Hillary on any points whatsoever.

Your fantasy of Trump riding to the defence of the masses in pursuit of truth and justice is bonkers - he's not some sheriff out of some fantasy wild west movie, he's a very naughty boy whose hobbies involve sexually assaulting random women and boasting about it, pulling fast ones on his business associates and competitors and workers, lying about his taxes, and who is married to an immigrant who worked illegally in the US!

You can't state a single positive reason to vote for Trump because there are none.

He's trying to ride on the coattails of the US. But the US being great was never because of actions of people like him. He is the kind of guy who is guaranteed to make America at best an international laughing stock (much like the UK post-Brexit) and at worst a fascist dictatorship.

claig · 06/11/2016 12:29

'You have still failed, claig, to give a single positive reason to vote for Trum'

I am not giving reasons to vote for him. We can't even vote, we are only observers. I like him. If people don't like him and they have the vote, then they shouldn't vote for him.

At least we have some repsonsible high up people here who don't insult Trump by saying he is "unfit" or a racist or a fascist. Unfortunately, not most of our media cronies and much of our "political class".

'Now where is that HIDE button.'

The feeling's mutual. You can hide my threads and that will be good for both of us.

OP posts:
OhYouBadBadKitten · 06/11/2016 12:51

So, if I start a thread on this, then Claig will you stay out of it so that lljk and others can discuss this, you won't be upset by her and she won't be upset by you.

Deal?

claig · 06/11/2016 12:55

'Deal?'

Absolutely. This is about the only thread I am on and I started the 3 1000 post debate threads on Trump vs Clinton, and then you continued it after the 3rd thread was filled up, and I don't post on other people's Trump threads because if people don't understand what is really at issue, then it doesn't bother me as none of us can vote anyway and if Trump wins, people will find out soon enough what it was really all about anyway and then they will learn what they never knew.

So start a new thread and I promise I won't post on it. lljk can post on it and not have to read my views.

Andrew Neil says that Hillary, Bill and Obama are all heading to Michigan which used to be a safe Democrat seat. He is suggesting that they are all worried that Michigan is in play. The same in Pennsylvania - Obama, Michelle are all heading there as that ay be in play too.

Trump off to Colorado, thinks he can swing it and Trump off to Minnesota where the legendary Sheriff David Clarke is and Trump thinks he may swing that too.

Democrats worried about low African American turnout and Trump reportedly likely to get a huge white turnout in the rustbelt.

Go Trumpsters! Smile

OP posts:
OhYouBadBadKitten · 06/11/2016 13:20

other thread :)

It is a huge site! It's just like being at a party. Sometimes there are people who don't get on, at a party you'd walk away and join another group. I think it would be sometimes better if that happened more here too.
