Into the final lap now after over 1 year of entertainment, education and excitement. Donald J Trump is nearly there against all expectations.

'Have you actually listened to her speak and more importantly what she is saying?'

Only short clips and interviews years ago and her endorsement of Trump which was a bit wacky and off the wall.

claig

I feel i am a bit older than you, so can i offer you some advice from a mature woman of the world Grin

You dont nail your colours to the mast until you are sure that the person you profess to admire isnt a complete and utter fuckwit

Breadandwine · 06/11/2016 21:50
Grin
Roussette · 06/11/2016 21:52

Wacky and off the wall... hmmm. Well... they're both as bad as each other

claig · 06/11/2016 21:53

Grin I will have to look into Sarah Palin more. The few clips I have heard of her looked good, but I don't know much about her. Before this election, I didn't pay much attention to US politics.

claig Grin

I think it might be the hair to be honest...look at the hair

Hitler, kim jong il, trump, palin, all have weird hairstyles

I think i may have hit on something here

Clinton, obama, the queen...good hair

Not sure where Blair fits in my theory Hmm

Roussette · 06/11/2016 21:57

John McCain had her as his running mate back in 2008. She was a complete and utter liability. I hate her views on just about everything. There is nothing about her that you can hear and think it looks good. Seriously claig...

claig · 06/11/2016 21:58

I like Corbyn, Germaine Greer, Julie Bindel, Katie Hopkins, it's not the hair. It's free speech.

Bitofacow · 06/11/2016 22:00

Jon Bon Jovi and Bruce Springsteen are playing at a Clinton rally in Philly tomorrow night.

The big guns are out.

claig · 06/11/2016 22:00

I know that McCain had her as a running mate. I didn't like McCain, but I liked what I saw of her.

I think you've nailed it there Rufus

Merkel's hair is well dodgy and as far Sturgeon... very wiggy too!

Roussette · 06/11/2016 22:04

Sorry have to say it claig. You have really gone down in my estimation now. I sort of get a small bit where you're coming from with DT although he'd not get my vote in a million years. But SPalin is really one step too far and you're not the poster I thought you were!

claig · 06/11/2016 22:04

'Merkel's hair is well dodgy and as far Sturgeon... very wiggy too!'

Good point, I don't like those two.

OP posts:
claig · 06/11/2016 22:08

'But SPalin is really one step too far and you're not the poster I thought you were!'

That's OK because I am me, not you.

I bet you don't like Katie Hopkins, but I think she is fantastic, but that doesn't mean I agree with everything she says. I don't agree with everything Trump says or Germaine Greer says.

Who is teh journalist that used to write for the NME and was married to Tony Parsons and then wrote for the Guardian and the Daily Mail? I can't remember her name. I like her, I think she is great, but at times I have thought she is stupid because I disagreed with her on some things, but overall I think she is fanatastic because I don't care if I agree with everything, it is the great bits of a person I like, I don't have to like everything or have to agree with them on everything.

OP posts:
claig · 06/11/2016 22:13

I like Louise Mensch and Suzanne Moore even though they both dislike Trump and even though there are some things I disagree with them on. It doesn't matter, I like them for their independence of mind and great thinking and positions on some issues.

bit

Love Bruce Springsteen

Thank god he is for Clinton

Otherwise i would be listening to 'born to run' going "YEAH YOU RUN YOU FUCKER!!!!"

Obviously i would still listen to his music...but it would be angry listening

RufusTheSpartacusReindeer · 06/11/2016 22:15

Thank you rousette

Roussette · 06/11/2016 22:19

Of course I'm me and you're you .... puzzled at that !

You're talking about julie burchill.... I think I'm getting the measure of you now claig with where you're coming from... yes, you're right, we're poles apart thank god

lightingseeds · 06/11/2016 22:20

Julie Burchill is who you're thinking of, claig.

I'm getting a good feel for who you will like. You are thoroughly consistent, in a way that's quite admirable and zeitgeisty and at the same time thoroughly bonkers! On the end, this stuff matters. Trump and Palin actually aspired to be in power, and they're morons.

claig · 06/11/2016 22:26

Yes, Julie Burchill, I think she is a legend

'Of course I'm me and you're you .... puzzled at that'

What I mean is we are all different and have different opinions and just because we disagree on Trump or anything else, it shouldn't matter, because it is free speech and free thought. Yes we are poles apart but that doesn't matter. That is what free speech and thought is all about, not closing down discussion or insulting posters or being rude to them or calling them names, or hiding posts because they disagree. Just because we are poles apart doesn't mean we should be on separate threads where we hide each others posts just because we disagree. To me that is the problem with political correctness or what the French call "la pensee unique" where there is only one way of thinking, that Trump is a fascist etc and that anyone who likes him is bad.

OP posts:
Roussette · 06/11/2016 22:30

I'm not saying you're bad, vive la difference and all that. You have surprised me on the SPalin thing though as she has no redeeming features whatsoever.

claig · 06/11/2016 22:31

I don't like university safe spaces where Germaine Greer and Julie Bindel are banned from speaking to students or are barred from having ther opinions heard because they disagree on transgender or any other issues with teh prevailing politically correct consensus, and what I like about Sarah Palin is that she is against that as is Katie Hopkins and that liberty is what is being destroyed by our politically correct class that bans Germaine Greer's free speech in case it offends someone, and that is why I like Trump because if he wins, that will all be over.

OP posts:
flowersandsunshine · 06/11/2016 22:34

And Trump is a fascist.

But do go on.

claig · 06/11/2016 22:35

'You have surprised me on the SPalin thing though as she has no redeeming features whatsoever.'

Sarah Palin is a fighter, that's why the Guardian mock her and dislike her, just like Katie Hopkins, an incredible fighter with incredible courage, just like Trump, whom Katie Hopkins likes.

One day in the near future we will all be thankful for these people because they will be the only ones who oppose the politically correct controllers who want to shut down Germaine Greer's and Julie Bindel's free speech.

Sarah Palin is not all bad, she is not a "deplorable" as Hillary would say. Sarah Palin i a fighter and that is a great thing in the battle for freedom.

OP posts:
Roussette · 06/11/2016 22:36

Whatever the result might be, claig, I think you are over estimating what DT will do if he were to get in unlikely. He is not the second coming, his hands will be tied thank god.

'That will all be over'

No it won't for the reasons above.
