Thank you for your prayers. DS1 much improved - seems it might not be swine flu as it has cleared in 3-4 days, though nearly a third of his school have had it, so it's something very, very infectious.

Meltedchocolate - I had a very clear picture of you going through a long dark tunnel, with Jesus the bright light towards which you are walking. However, he was/is also the light on the helmet which is guiding your footsteps and illuminating the path ahead just one step at a time for you.

HTH a little. Prayers for your dh too, in his darkness at this time.

could do with a few prayers please that God's Will with prevail. I had to take the MAP this morning - contraception failure last night (at least this time we were actually using it - last time I had to take the MAP we hadn't used anything).

I'm a little "eek" about it all though - as the timing is "spot" on - I'm mid cycle, and DS3 is the same age as DS1 and 2 were when I fell pg the last 2 times unplanned. Plus the only other time I took the MAP it failed - we have a gorgeous DS3 that's now 2 1/2yrs to show for it.

Obviously with everything else going on right now a pg would be a really hard thing to cope with, especially as although DH did know that I had hoped for a 4th (he was just about the only person that didn't know I want a 3rd - so that was a major issue with DS3's pg) we hadn't actually talked about it in any real detail as I wanted to clear some debts, get him well again etc etc.

I have a long 2 weeks to wait now to see it's worked.

DutchOma · 11/11/2009 08:58

Praying for you ALFA. How are you coping otherwise?
You are right, your ds3 is gorgeous, as no doubt are the other two, but I didn't meet them.

MaryBS · 11/11/2009 10:19

God look after you and yours, ALFA.

I am still struggling healthwise. I feel well enough, except I have this awful cough, which keeps me awake most of the night, and making me sick, and my chest really hurts from coughing. I've been taking decongestants, which seems to be loosening it - just hope its in time for the w/e!

Its my lovely husband's birthday today. I am SO lucky I have him. He was back at A&E last night, re: his ankle, thank God it was only a sprain! He continues to take Warfarin - I guess this is leaving him prone to bruising! I must be careful where I hit him !

Prayers for all those who have lost loved ones as the result of war, especially today. For it is while we remember what a dreadful sacrifice so many made, that we can appreciate better the need for peace. May we never forget the sacrifice, in the same way we should never forget Jesus' sacrifice for us on the cross.

amberlight · 11/11/2009 16:45

Still praying for everyone

meltedchocolate · 11/11/2009 20:31

Sorry to keep dropping in. DH is meant to be meeting a friend to go to church with but keeps 'forgetting', 'sleeping in' etc etc... Please pray that his heart might soften.

Still using herion, I think in the same volume.

Thank you all.

DutchOma · 11/11/2009 21:16

It's all anybody can do, loving and praying and hoping that he will allow the Lord to speak to him.
Sending blessings for you and your little boy.
Do you have support from your church and/or family?

MaryBS · 12/11/2009 09:27

Praying, meltedchocolate.

CaptainDippy · 12/11/2009 10:30

Have just completed summary to type up so I can start a new thread; but I've got to trundle off to Dr's for a blood test now (checking to see if they can ascertain what is causing some weird dizzy spells and tiredness I have been experiencing lately) I'll type up and start a new thread asap (hopefully later on today); but in the meantime, can you pray for me as I am absolutely terrified of blood tests!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thank you!

OP posts:
mufti · 12/11/2009 10:39

MaryBS · 12/11/2009 11:23

Praying dippy. Also praying for all affected by illness.

CaptainDippy · 12/11/2009 11:36

Didn't go for blood test, chickened out I'm afraid. Managed to have a huge argument with DH instead

OP posts:
mufti · 12/11/2009 11:38

blood test may have been less painful?

DutchOma · 12/11/2009 11:48

Oh Dippy, darling, it's probably no more than a bit of anaemia, as Mufti says, don't look and pretend your arm is not part of you. Go on make a new appointment, or just go along and ask if they can do it there and then. Maybe if they realise how hard it is for you, they will.

MaryBS · 12/11/2009 11:58

Have you got someone who can go with you? You are better off sorting it out, than leaving it CD {hugs}, be brave darling. And {hugs} for you and DH...

CaptainDippy · 12/11/2009 12:00

Please pray for my 20yr ol DD. She has suffered dreadful back pain for nearly 8 years. MRI, Xray, blood tests show nothing.
Referred to physio and she went today. Now wating for acupuncture!
DDsaid she felt a fraud even though pain is obvious. DD has gained some weight due to lack of mobility. Physio blamed this, making DD feel even worse. She is at uni, travelling from derby to york 3-4 times a week.
Also, blood tests have shown inflammation in her right wrist; could be rhuematoid arthritis. Her pain is severe and has been prescribed wrists splints for now. Waiting for date for scan on wrist. Thank you
