good morning all thank you captaindippy i also love c&l hugely! your very sweet reply is heart warming. I have a sore throat too- i am going to blame the weather. Am praying for your bf and your dh's cousin- 9 children wow! Things bit odd here dp is not in a good place im trying hard but seemingly its not what he wants- i dont think he knows what he wants. My 2 darling girlfriends i feel have opened my eyes to things i have never been able to see before in some ways this wkend although the scenery is more foggy now and im unsure. How is everyone else? Foxy- i do understand losing anythin drives me barmy- praying you find it soon, preferably unchewed! Praying that everyone finds some comfort this sunday. X

DutchOma · 25/10/2009 08:47

SilverFox, What a good job that God does not think any of our problems too big or too small. I would be lost without my calendar too.
LittleSisterLola, glad you had some good fellowship with your friends, I'm sure your dp will value you giving him some space to work through his problems himself.
Mary, that sounds worrying about ds. How does he feel about injecting himself?
MJIM I've missed you and ds' birthday, I thought it was today, just missed the fact that yesterday was the 24th. There are preparations, we'll sort it out later. Postal strike has not helped but that wasn't it.

weegiemum · 25/10/2009 10:29

Ds had his tooth pulled out - it was massive! He was very good at the dentist and was amply rewarded by the tooth fairy last night!!

Thanks for praying for him!

If anyone is around, please, please, please will you pray that the people at the top of the chain for our house move will stop ignoring calls and e-mails and get in touch with their agent and solicitor NOW. IF they don't go and confirm a date for completion ASAP, we will not be able to exchange with our buyer for completion on friday and the whole chain collapses. We're even willing to complete on the house that we are buying on the following friday and stay with my parents for a week but not unless we can exchange on both at the same time so that we don't make ourselves homeless. We have about an hour left to make this happen. We can't afford a different house now with house price increasing and our income decreasing and even if we could there is nothing on the market.

LORD, WHERE ARE YOU?!

mufti · 26/10/2009 15:51

only just seen this , SS , has anything happened?
i pray they get in touch and it all goes smoothly

positiveattitudeonly · 26/10/2009 16:47

Just logged on and saw this SS. Prayers for the situation. Prayers that it will get sorted out. Peace for you!

MaryBS · 26/10/2009 16:48

Praying SS... how dreadful

DutchOma · 26/10/2009 17:02

SS Is the u-turn of the governement on training in the TA enough? Or is it just a sop to satisfy the critics?

Swaliswan · 26/10/2009 19:41

DO - That will give DH one quarter day of pay a month instead of about 5 days pay a month. Plus he won't be able to get the 8 days pay that he should have received this month. So, yes, it is purely a lame attempt to satisfy the critics. Given that DH will still be training but won't be paid, the Government is clearly getting more than they pay for.

As for the house, please will you all keep praying? We haven't exchanged yet but for a number of complicated reasons we may be able to exchange tomorrow. We will be moving out on friday and staying with my parents until we can move in to our new house a week later. However, given that EVERYTHING has gone wrong with this chain so far, I do not believe that this is going to happen until it actually happens. We also could do with some prayer that we can sort out storage and vans at this late point.

DutchOma · 26/10/2009 20:03

I'm sorry sweetheart. Will go on praying for you and for your house move and that you will be able to stay strong till after the move.

Mama2b5 · 26/10/2009 21:06

hi - also praying for all to be well with the house!

Can we also just pray that the spirit of halloween and withcraft to be broken and parents to see how dangerous this really is for our children! xx

positiveattitudeonly · 27/10/2009 07:57

Prayers for you continuing SS, for a breakthrough today.

Weegiemum - How are things with you now?

I hope you are all enjoying half term and all the lurgies aren't hindering plans.

I am going away again tomorrow morning. Travelling up to see DD1, 6 hour drive which I am not looking forward to. I am taking DD3 with me (CFS/ME sufferer) She has been not so good recently and we have had to reduce her education to just 2 sessions a week, 1 hour each again. We are hoping the breaak away will encourage her and not wear her out too much!
She will be leaving education in July with absolutely no qualifications and due to dyslexia and dyspraxia it is going to be really hard for her to find a job when she is well enough or to go to a college to get any qualifications. I am trying not to get concerned about her future, but it is hard. She worked so hard for 10 years at school, through tough circumstances, then has this illness that means she now has even more stacked against her. But I know God will provide and guide her, but prayers would be very much appreciated. Also, for the other children and Dh left behind this week to look after themselves.
Many thanks,

Hello Ladies,

Thanks for your prayers. Things are still far from sorted here. The people who are buying our flat may not be able to draw down their mortgage on friday so they won't exchange yet and have assumed that it will be fine to put off exchange until thursday. We are not happy with this. We don't want to book vans and a storage unit until we have exchanged and thursday is too late for this. All of a sudden, they are happy to move on monday if the money doesn't get released until then Why they can't just stop being so pigheaded and move on friday 6th like everyone else is beyond me. We also have no idea what the people at the top of the chain are going to say when they find out that we haven't exchanged contracts...

amberlight · 27/10/2009 13:02

Could do with a prayer for health, because otherwise it really will be a big operation...and a prayer for our dog who's having a tooth taken out under general anaesthetic today and we've already lost the two other dogs this year so it's bringing back memories. Urk.
Praying for everyone else too.

varicoseveined · 27/10/2009 13:37

MaryBS · 28/10/2009 15:32

Please pray for DH, he is at Addenbrookes with a blood clot in his leg. Don't know any more and am SO worried, this has been going on since last week, so I guess he's not in any immediate danger, but even so...

alwayslookingforanswers · 28/10/2009 16:00

prayers please that I can cope with the latest "blow" that's come to us.

Child protection have decided that DH isn't to be left in sole charge of the children for any length of time at all. That means I can't leave the house without them, and means that it's almost certain I'm going to have to now cancel going to the Kingsway Worship Conference in Eastborune in a fortnight.

I honestly don't know how I'm going to cope not getting a minutes break from the DS's. I love them so much, but I need a break once in a while - even just a trip to morrisons on my own helps my sanity stay intaact and I won't be able to do that for a while (don't know how long).
