Apologies to all for the lack of summary for the last thread; but it got to over 600 messages and I think my head just exploded!!

Anyway, enough talking ..... get praying ...

Mama2b5, hear hear!
Prayers aplenty continuing for all.
Prayers still needed for my own 'Help!' situation, that there may be a tiny bit of space in people's busy lives to deal with the crisis soon.

thislittlesisterlola · 22/10/2009 20:05

knock's carefully on thread door and hopes to be taken under it's wing...

hi all im new to this thread i think now more than ever i need a thread like this.

am feeling very lost at the mo, hate my job, been ttc for 2 years and not getting very far and now my darling dp has lost his grandad, very suddenly and we havent been given too much of an explanation yet. he was very close to this wonderful man. This has utterly, utterly devastated him( obviously) i hate to see him like this and feel very helpless.

Any prayers or kind words would be much appreciated. Feel very sheepish about coming onto a new thread.
thank you.

p.s my thoughts are with shellylou, i am so sorry for your loss.

Swaliswan · 22/10/2009 20:23

A very quick post to let you know that B is now out of her harness after our hospital appointment this afternoon. No check-ups for six weeks!

MaryBS · 22/10/2009 21:50

thislittlesisterlola you are very welcome, nothing wrong with feeling sheepish, if you are following the Shepherd! So much to cope with, yet you have come to join us and pray. That's good, you understand, as we all do I hope, that God is here for us and loves us. When things are rough, its time to let God take control, and allow him to wrap us up in his arms - and the key is not to struggle too much. Praying for your work situation (I know what that feels like to be in a job I hate - although am currently unemployed), and for your DP as he comes to terms with his great loss, and for your struggles as you ttc. Join us anytime, we are glad to have you!

SS - that sounds good news, praise God! How are you feeling? How is the house move going?

Still praying Amber for you - its so hard waiting especially when you don't know what the answer is, hard to relinquish control.

9 days to my licensing, and counting. Have been struggling with an upset stomach today. Praying it goes soon - especially as its half term next week!

Swaliswan · 22/10/2009 21:53

The house move is dire, Mary. I'm feeling very poorly - either the strain of the moving house or possibly DC3 on the way rather sooner than planned (should get blood test results tomorrow to confirm either way and if all is well).

Notquitegrownup · 22/10/2009 21:54

Welcome Mama2b5 and thislittlesisterlola. Please don't feel sheepish at joining us - well, only in the nicest way of being in the flock of the best shepherd there is. I've often found this thread to be a pleasant pasture beside still waters for me, though am not around much at the moment.

Lovely to pop in and to see new faces and some (not so) old ones too. Praying, Amber.

God bless all.

DutchOma · 23/10/2009 08:47

Welcome LittlesisterLola, may the Lord bless you and your family.

SS prayers for you too my dear, praise the Lord that B is out of the harness.

You are much in my thoughts Mary and Amber too.

Praying blessings on all of you.

amberlight · 23/10/2009 09:45

SS, prayers aplenty, and for everyone else.

thislittlesisterlola, praying for God to get all of you through this. He will. Never enough words for when a loved one dies...

I think the explanations of why it happened will help a lot, so I hope you'll get one soon. It gives a bit of closure, because we always sit there thinking "arrgh, if only I'd done this or that, or said this or that, or seen them more, or guessed X or Y about their health...". but that's part of our own grieving, I think.

I find getting out and doing something totally different each day - even if it's just a walk somewhere new - really helped me through each loss.

weegiemum · 23/10/2009 17:27

SS - fantastic news about the harness!!! Praise God that things are improving!

Could you pray for us? The fact that our ideas about Venezuala are dead in the water are starting to sink in ... both of us are feeling pretty crappy about it all. We know it is the right decision but its still hard to come to terms with -- we had no plan B and don't really know where to go from here. We're not ready to give up on latin America yet, but don't really know where else to turn on it all .....

thislittlesisterlola · 23/10/2009 17:47

thank you all for your kind and wise words and for you wonderful welcome. Am feeling pretty naff today dp is all over the place and i crave some sort of stability. I thought by giving him space and not asking questions it would help but currently its done nothing but wind me up- i feel terrible just thinking this. He spoke to his mum yesterday on the phone i was next to him and obv. She knows more about this situation than i do but i now feel sad he hasnt said anything to me like our relationship isnt important enough. Sorry rant over. My fav ladies are visiting tomorrow so know i'll find a smile. Hope everyone is ok i am so sorry for rant. Feel better for writing it god bless

DutchOma · 23/10/2009 19:24

Dear sisterlola, that's just what we are here for:- to give you an opportnity to off load in confidence.
I'm praying for you that your dp will see how important you are to him and how you need him.
I'm sure you are doing all you can in love so don't feel crap about it.
Hopefully you will have some more news to share with us, we will be glad to hear it whether you think it is negative or not.
We're just here for you.

thislittlesisterlola · 23/10/2009 20:14

Hi all,

Welcome to thislittlesisterlola - many prayers for you and your situation, and to Mama2b5.
So sorry things have not worked out as you planned WM. Prayers for peace and guidance for you.
Prayers for you SS. (and a big un-mumsnetty hug, too all round!)

I have just arrived back from a week on retreat. An absolutely fantastic week with lots of time spent seeking God's will for us individually as well as working team. We've all come back really fired up and so grateful to God for His provision for our work, His hand on the ministry and for each other. Oh, I could go on all night! Its so exciting to see how God is going to use us over the coming months with all the promises and challenges that have been revealed this week. A really blessed time. I will stop now,or I will hijack the whole thread!

I am off again on Wednesday, travelling up North to spend a few days with DD1 - who lives in Blackpool, going with DD3, (the CFS/ME sufferer) Would appreciate prayers for us, that DD3 will be physically able to cope being away and for DH left at home to cope with the rest of the family. (He's great though and the kids love him being in charge.)

Have a good weekend everyone and half term, too.

CaptainDippy · 23/10/2009 21:22

weegiemum · 24/10/2009 09:00

Just a little prayer please.

Ds (7) has bad toothache - none of our children have ever had it! He's been up all night pretty much, dozing when the nurofen kicked in for a bit.

he has an emergency out of hours dentist appointment at the dental hospital in Glasgow at 10. Please pray they sort it out - I've had 2 nights with pretty much no sleep (thats as soon as they could see him!! Dentist had no appointments!) and I'm knackered!

positiveattitudeonly · 24/10/2009 18:38

Just flying past.

Weegiemum - Poor DD. Prayers for the toothache. How did you get on at the dentist? Hope it is sorted out you can all sleep well tonight.

CD - Thanks for the prayers for DD3. Health is sliding downhill again, but God has her in His hands.
I was also at DO's words, LOL.

Have a good weekend everyone and half term week.

LovingtheSilverFox · 24/10/2009 22:03

Hello ladies

My posting is sporadic, I know, but I do read this and pray for everyone mentioned.

Things are still upside down in Foxy Manor but kids are great, although the twins have MANY teeth each breaking through, AARRGGHH! I don't think any surface in the house remains unchewed!

Silly, silly prayer request, but can you pray for me to find my calendar soon? It was on the back of the kitchen door with my aprons in the old Foxy Manor, but having unpacked a lot of boxes, I have the aprons, but not the calendar. It has every date that is important to me on it, and no, I wasn't sensible and wrote them somewhere else as well. My address book is also somewhere in a box. It is really hard trying to function without either, particularly with Christmas looming!

Thanks ladies, daft I know, but I know you will understand.

Holding everyone close, especially the new posters.

Foxy xxx

MaryBS · 25/10/2009 07:21

Its not that end that's the problem Sooz! I've had stomach cramps and tenderness (and no, neither am I about to give birth without knowing I'm pregnant ). Nice to see you back LTSF - praying you find that calendar soon!

How did DS get on, WM?

DH has had some pains in his leg - went to minor injuries clinic yesterday, who suspected DVT. Saw Dr yesterday PM who said unlikely, but have given him blood thinning injections to inject himself with (!), and he is seeing our regular Dr on Monday, so please keep him in prayer!
