Tell us about an amazingly accurate reading. Medium, tarot etc

Mine was knowing very specific details and names that were very unusual. Also told me about adult dcs future work. Again specific. This particular reader is so hard to get an appointment with so doubt I'll get in again? All came true.

Has anyone else had a great reading?

You were manipulated to make it look like you were not giving information when you actually were.

newtlover · 22/10/2025 10:12

you should read Derren Brown

Bayroot1 · 22/10/2025 10:47

Nah I gave nothing away.

I reckon Derren is psychic and can't admit it as he'd have no job.

I asked for readings. Why do naysayers bother wasting their time posting. I knew they'd be first 🤣

Squirrelsnut · 22/10/2025 11:56

She used a very, very specific, unusual term that has particular relevance to me. There's no way she gleaned the info from me, in person or online.

Bayroot1 · 22/10/2025 12:02

@Squirrelsnut thanks.

CurlewKate · 22/10/2025 12:03

Derren Brown explains exactly how this sort of things happens. Even if he is actually psychic, the methods he details still exist. Why would he bother to make all the practical information up when all he has to do is read your mind?

wheresmymojo · 22/10/2025 12:08

My DM had a reading in the 90s that was recorded on a tape and I listened to it.

The reader said she would marry a man with a moustache, who owned his own business and drove two cars (she did).

That she would get pregnant again (she did and at that time thought it was impossible).

Other things too which I can’t remember - this was before the internet (and obvs social media) so there’s no way they could have known and DM definitely didn’t give away any clues.

wheresmymojo · 22/10/2025 12:10

And she was already in a relationship with my Stepfather at the time (the guy with the mustache and two cars) so it wasn’t that she was influenced to pick him by the reading.

There was no way the reader could have known about him though - he didn’t accompany her or drop her off, she didn’t have any photos of him and there were no connections between her and the reader (not based in the same area for example).

FWIW I was at an event with some of the brightest minds in the UK the other week, including for example physicists who won prizes for work completed with Stephen Hawking.

One of the emerging theories is that there is another form of “field” that we haven’t discovered yet - something like an information field, in the same way that there’s a gravity field and electro-magnetic fields and that parts of our brain (microtubules) may access information of kinds from what would effectively be something like a collective conciousness.

This is absolutely hypothetical - but from extremely prominent scientists and thinkers across theoretical physics and other areas. It could possibly be touching on ways that tie together quantum physics with relativity which is a missing piece of the puzzle of our understanding of the world.

However, even they (literally leading, world-renowned academics) admit that we are nowhere even close to understanding anything around conciousness so sadly we (alive today) may never get to know the answer.

And FWIW I’m not necessarily arguing that this is a “spiritual thing” any more than it’s spiritual that birds tap into the earth’s electro-magnetic field to navigate the world when migrating. It is potentially not spiritual at all, but just feels that way because it’s so far beyond our current understanding in the way that an iPhone would seem like a spiritual item to someone in medieval times who didn’t yet know about radio waves or satellites.

JacknDiane · 22/10/2025 12:32

I had just walked in and the medium told me my mums name and what happened when she died. No one knows but me and her.

Fionasapples · 22/10/2025 12:36

A medium I'd only just met (I didn't actually know she was a medium) kept looking slightly behind me. She described my grandad in great detail. He died when I was 4 so I can hardly remember him. She gave a detail about him that I had forgotten about. She said he was with me looking after me. I never believed in ghosts or spirits and I believe most of these "psychics" are charlatans, but this lady was not someone who did readings for money.

silverstorm101 · 22/10/2025 12:41

It's actually pretty messed up when you think about it, they have you believe they are in touch with your loved ones blah blah blah. There are a lot of clever techniques to make you believe what you heard was specifically for you, and you suddenly forget or write off all the other bits that didn't apply to you or your situation.

IF the dead could communicate and are so desperate to let you know they are okay then why all the guessing games and mystery. Why doesn't John Doe come through with his full name age and address and exactly how he died? Why do they 'show' these mediums such vague statements?!

It's an age old con that dates back centuries.

Christwosheds · 22/10/2025 12:43

Yes, I had one woman, years ago, who was incredibly accurate. She was young and an unlikely reader, she did a tarot reading and then talked . There was one specific thing she told me about a person close to me that she couldn’t have known, that I didn’t know at the time.

Jaq27 · 22/10/2025 13:11

I had an unexplainably accurate reading back in the 90s (pre internet).

I deliberately turned up anonymous to my normal self - no make-up, baggy jumper, no wedding rings. I had given no clues about myself.

The lady took my watch and said a voice was taking her up north and then some very accurate, specific things about a location where my DH comes from. The manner in which she was 'told' made her laugh (as it was a bit abrupt). It sounded very like my DH's rather spiky nan who had passed on recently.

That was amazing, but not much else made sense. She started banging on about a birthday in the family and how it was important to me. Very important. She said the day and the month.
You can hear me on the tape saying 'No, no. It means nothing to me.'
The lady taped all of her readings and gave me the cassette. She said "What I tell you now in truth and light might not make sense -- but it will mean a lot in the future."
10 years later and I was unpacking boxes in our new home and came across the 'psychic tape'. Thought it would be fun to listen to while I worked.
When the psychic got to the birth date bit my hair stood up. I had to call my DH to rewind the tape and listen to it with me. We were in shock.

The psychic had told me the exact birth date of our baby daughter.
How could she have foretold the birth day 10 years before it happened??? At the time of the reading I was in my late 20s, and having a family was definitely not on my agenda.
Still mystifies me.

Idontknowhatnametochoose · 22/10/2025 13:37

A medium told me the names of my grandparents. Due to family issues I didn't even know what they were! She also knew about a recent tragedy in the family.

I only gave the medium my first name which is common. I've never posted about family stuff on social media and I live in a different area from family members. There's no way she could hsve known.

When I arrived, she told me not to tell her anything at all.

There are more fakes than genuine ones, but genuine do exist.

Bayroot1 · 22/10/2025 14:05

@Jaq27 that would have made the hairs stand up for me too.

OP posts:
Bayroot1 · 22/10/2025 14:07

@Idontknowhatnametochoose yes they shouldn't be told anything
I've seen a medium who's famous and they asked way to many questions. Genuine ones need yes no or maybe.

I had a friend who waited a very long time to see a very well known and regarded psychic. He was absolutely spot on about things about her, her present and her past. She swore she gave nothing away. However, his big prediction never came true.

People think they give nothing away, but unless they have studied how to read people, how do they know if they are or are not giving things away. People who can read others, pick up on very tiny signs. Watch the Behavioural Arts on You tube.

You said she gave the day and the month. She had a 1 in 365 chance of getting the birth date right for any particular individual. But being as this could be the birth date of any individual who became significant to you in the next 70 or so years of your life, its not that out there.

This sort of stuff fascinates me.

Bayroot1 · 22/10/2025 14:34

I've seen people do blind clairvoyance before. That's very impressive. The medium can't see the person they're reading. The person being read nods or shakes their head and another person relays the yes or no. I've seen very accurate work that way.

It's not an exact science and isn't easy to do. Some find it easier than others. Some do cheat. Some struggle so read body language. But when it's true it's wonderful.

I don't think everyone should believe. It's personal choice. Spiritualism is a religion and not everyone believes in God.

Everyone should be sceptical. Some people are so desperate for answers and messages they feed the medium. Anyone getting a reading keep quiet and then it's better evidence. Yes no or maybe.

I went with my mum a few years ago - I was a massive skeptic. Thought it was all money-grabbers playing on the vulnerabilities of strangers.
She started talking about a woman in a blue dress and hat, and saying how the woman was really happy that she’d been dressed in that particular dress when she passed, and that she was thanking my mum for making sure her hair was done properly…….

When my paternal grandmother died, the decision was made to dress her in the blue outfit she wore to my Dsis’s wedding - she would talk all the time about how much she loved that dress.
My mum is hairdresser and had always done my grandmothers hair - once a week for 40+ years. When she died, my mum insisted on doing her hair before the undertakers came.

Psychic knew my friend studied astronomy at Uni. Astronomy is not exactly a mega popular course and at the time it was very male dominated my friend was one of the few girls on the course.

psychic knew my other friend had an eating disorder - she is slim but not skinny - the eating disorder isn’t anorexia.

because thats what they are - fraudsters.

If anyone was truly psychic we would know by now

Years ago in the 1990s I saw this amazing Medium in Newcastle.
The first thing she said was I see a big ginger cat on your shoulders & he’s asking who’s the black & white bugger that’s taken my place.
My ginger cat had died earlier that year (the only cat I’ve ever had who used to drape himself on my shoulders). We rescued a black & white cat shortly after. 🤷🏼‍♀️ I wasn’t covered in cat hair before anyone asks.
She was also interviewed for the local news because for the first time ever in her career she told someone she was going to win the lottery & they did.
