A lovely new thread to continue counting our blessings.

Everyone is welcome, of any faith or none at all. Just drop by to pause for a moment and think of what has made you smile or has gone well for you, however small it seems.

Thanks stressed. Hope you're getting some rest.

It's hard going as it's never hit me like this before. I'm really exhausted and quite scared that my life is going to be more limited by it than I originally thought.

Gratitudes:

A lazy day (no choice really Wink)
Lovely family
Peace

stressedHEmum · 06/07/2015 09:56

I've been I'll for 5 or 6 years and I still really struggle with how limited my life is. It's very difficult to come to terms with, especially as there isn't really any effective treatment. I try to ignore it and keep going until i, quite literally, collapse and then have to spend days, if not weeks, in bed. Not a good strategy! I really hope that you feel better this week and find a way to deal with things, kinky.

Gratitudes
Sunshine this morning
Birdsong
Food, water, safety and shelter
Sleep

Oooh, I used to be on these threads in 2014, and I lost them - and, to be honest, my drive to look for the best in my days . Nothing serious, just really struggling with my job and my boss for the last 10 months but perhaps I need to try and get out from under it. So, gratitudes from the weekend:

DD1 passed her horse riding exam
All 3 DDs spent the entire day yesterday in their pyjamas, and said it was the best day ever (I abhor spending the day in my nightwear, and really had to bite my tongue not to tell them to get bloody dressed!).
The cuddle from my DH in bed this morning before I faced coming into my aforementioned work

MamaLazarou · 07/07/2015 20:46

I am going through a tough time.

I am grateful for my wonderful, beautiful, faithful and devoted husband who supports me unquestionably every way and would do anything to make me happy.

I have no idea what I have done to deserve him.

stressedHEmum · 08/07/2015 13:51

Welcome back, Pol, hope things get a bit easier.Flowers

Mama, I hope things get better for you. I am sure that you completely deserve your dh and that you would do the same for him.Flowers

Thanks stressed. Still feeling poorly and trying REALLY hard to stick to healthy eating as I know losing weight would help, but it is tough - especially because I'm feeling fed up and a big bar of whole nut would make an excellent friend at the moment!

Gratitudes:

Lovely peaches from the Greengrocer
Peace and time to rest
My lovely DH who must find me hard-going at times.

stressedHEmum · 12/07/2015 15:15

Hóe you are feeling a bit better, kinky. I would love to lose weight too, but am often much to tired to cook a proper meal for me, after I have seen to the family (I'm the lone veggie), si crisps and cake feature in my diet far too oftenBlush.

HUGE gratitudes today for fantastic school reports for all 3 DCs - they're doing pretty well academically, but even more importantly, all their reports said what kind, helpful and polite children they are. I am so so proud of them all Smile

Usually a lurker...

  1. have kids while others around me struggle with fertility issue...
  2. have gone through "easy" pregnancies and births
  3. have a very loving, caring & supportive husband
  4. access to free healthcare which means I don't need to put off seeing the doctor, for fear of a high bill.
  5. have family in the same country as me, so I don't need to worry about airfare or visas to see them.

I read this thread a long time ago, before I had joined. Sorry that now as I post I haven't read through all, as I read last time I felt I had so much to be thankful for and often too. Health, shelter, comfort, husband, daughter. Life.

Quiet time
Holiday in a few days! Feeling excited!

KinkyDorito · 27/07/2015 08:32

Having DD home
Cinema tickets booked - I am very grateful for the new allocated seats system as I used to hate going and trying to find somewhere to sit together. Now enjoy it again, which might sound like a silly gratitude, but I struggle to find activities that we can do together with Aspie DD. Cinema is one that we do manage, thanks to knowing exactly where we can sit! Little things.
Lovely family
Starting to get my energy back after the worst fibro flare I've ever had - feel like engaging with the world again Smile
