A lovely new thread to continue counting our blessings.

Everyone is welcome, of any faith or none at all. Just drop by to pause for a moment and think of what has made you smile or has gone well for you, however small it seems.

DS coming second in a race at Sports Day. He's undergoing assessment for Dyspraxia and really struggles with physical things, which means he is growing a hatred of PE. I was really pleased that he was pleased with what he did as it will be good for his confidence. Smile Smile
The lovely occupational therapist who will be working with DS.
A calm moment
A big glass of clean drinking water
No meeting after work today Grin

Hoorah for the silver medal winner Kinky Glad he was chuffed with that - our society needs to be better at celebrating coming second doesn't it? And PB's too, they're a great thing!

June sunshine has been lovely hasn't it - dd said it was near her perfect weather when I picked her up after an exam yesterday (after she'd been waiting for me for a few minutes)

This morning's walk round the park and back home now for a Brew

Later picking dd up after History exam - she's doing GCSE's and we have the last few this week finishing on Friday when DGP's are coming up for a little family celebration - going out together for a curry after going to a little art exhibition at dd's school. So thankful too that they've gone OK and she's mainly taken them in her stride - thankful really for the mature young woman that is beginning to emerge (after teenage years!)

Glad we have a few little adventures, holidays, and celebrations to look forward to over the summer

KinkyDorito · 10/06/2015 16:27

DD had her History today too - seems to have gone okay. I'm pleased it's all been okay for your DD too Juggling Smile.

stressedHEmum · 11/06/2015 10:17

Well done to everyone's DC.

Kinky, 3 of my boys are dyspraxic - sports day used to be known as "annual humiliation day" in this house, so I can imagine how proud you are, well done young Dorito!

gratitudes -
3 days in a row of dry, sunny, WARM weather
sunshiney washing
DS3 finally making some decisions and taking some positive action about his future
diet cola (very unmumsnetty, I know, I will probably die of chemical poisoning, but I don't care)
the beauty of nature and renewal of life at this time of year - I have a poster for the church which says God reigns and the Son shines! I think that sums it up at this time year around here.

It was nice to leave the house today. Longest journey I have attempted since I had surgery a couple weeks ago.
Bumped into a work colleague on my brief trip, she said everyone is looking forward to me coming back, which is nice to hear.
And I made some chicken soup today and it was AMAZING.

Hope everyone is doing well :)

kinky, sorry it's wearing you down. I have fibro and ME, so I know how you feel. I had hardly moved from bed today. It's our church summer mission the first week of July so I have really, really overdone it the last 5 days, now I am paying the price! I hope that you have a better week this week.

Gratitude's
Fabulous summer club, 86 kids hearing the gospel and having a great fun time.
Friends
Rest and painkillers
