Glad I found this thread as one of my resolutions this year was to make note of three things every day that I'm grateful for :)

Today:
I have kind, supportive and funny work colleagues
I ordered three tops and some underwear from the catalogue and it all fits
And I'm shortly going to get into a bed with fresh linen on it.

Struggling today. Is it cheating to say that a difficult day at work will make me better at my job in the long run?

Too I often do the 'at least I have a job' when I know it's going to be really tough. Hope it isn't as hard as you fear .

I have an ill DS yet again. Taking him to Dr as I'm worried about how frequently this is happening.

Today I am grateful for:

That DD has been 2 years clear of chemo now!!!!
The NHS full stop
That the election is getting closer so soon, whether I am happy or not with the result of that, we can settle in and just get on with it. I find a lot is poised and waiting at work because we can't implement much until things are certain either way. It is frustrating!

It is DH's interview today. This could make real difference to our family life - it isn't about money, it's about his well-being. Please keep everything crossed for him today. Little prayers would be very appreciated.

I too am grateful for the NHS.
Grateful again for rain that is nourishing my garden.
Nice, friendly, helpful sales staff - makes all the difference.

Been a very rough few days here. We've lost a close family member after a period of illness. It was a shock as we were expecting him to be coming home soon.

Today I've been grateful for
Air conditioning at work
I was able to walk up to the top of the street (steep hill) at lunchtime without my walking stick (big improvement)

I enjoyed listening to the rain today - also thankful for water
Kettle's just boiled, making ds a coffee

• he has a newly acquired taste for it

so, also thankful for hot drinks and for ds's

• especially as he just gave me an amazing, lovely, long hug

If one was more mindful I guess one could go on like this from morning til night ....
Thankful for the ideas of mindfulness which I keep coming across and am beginning to find very helpful
