Catpiece · 15/08/2025 11:23

Is it okay for me to start a second thread of the highly entertaining viscous attack? Couldn’t see a sequel and don’t want to step foot on anyone’s toes
edited to add: I’m Cattery but with a name change x

"With all do respect..."

CalzoneOnLegs · 03/02/2026 22:03

@DancingFerret acceptable phonetically if said by Tony Soprano, otherwise no !

TerminalMoraine · 03/02/2026 22:17

Are you feeling lonely and venerable on your own?

PipMartin · 04/02/2026 08:01

Someone on a community Facebook page is hoping people can help him find his lost phone. He helpfully adds “Screan savour is my 2 dogs”

Just seen this thread title: ‘Is my nanny taking the mic’

Is she doing karaoke?

NamingNoNames · 06/02/2026 10:20

This one flawed me: is a design floor in my opinion.

TerminalMoraine · 06/02/2026 14:09

Yesterday I read these little gems:-

  1. Widow wreaths (widow weeds).
  2. Good news, but a little hick up after.
  3. Forget about him until he is persecuted and justice is done.
  4. Legion (legion)
NamingNoNames · 07/02/2026 11:11

Legion (legion) ???

Legion (legion) ???

Wretched autocorrect.
Legion when it should have been lesion.

Allseeingallknowing · 07/02/2026 14:25

Seen on Mumsnet today. I know it was about a serious subject so hope OP of this thread forgives me!
Ring could be stollen by carers- an interesting take on Christmas food?
Depravation of assets- sordid and illegal?

Lucky you!

Naked running- very bold!

Sorry, OP in afternoon tea thread!
Calamine tea? Did it stop the itching?

PipMartin · 11/02/2026 17:58

Someone’s helpful answer to a query about wine pairings: “ the dessert wine was a little sweet. But the Somalia (the guy who buys and serves the wine) explained to us about each one.”

CarlStoleMyUnderpants · 12/02/2026 02:50

I saw on Gumtree today a display cabinet that is compromised of 2 adjustable shelves, 2 sliding glass doors and an open space above.

Chersfrozenface · 12/02/2026 09:23

A poster has seen a retraining option and has "been mauling it over for a while".

I'm writing a technical specification and using an existing document as a template. Have just come across:
'All cabling to each sign must have a permanent live 230v supply 24/7/365'

Since when is 24/7/365 a technical term?!

I didn't used to be able to spell engineer but now I are won 🙄

Cathandkin · 12/02/2026 13:10

The nanny "taking the mic" was confusing at first!
Someone had a "treats draw" which I thought was some sort of raffle, turned out she kept chocolate in a drawer. It wasn't autocorrect, she used it many times.
