I've seen "bare" so often now I genuinely get confused when I have to write the phrase myself!

Just think 'is taking my clothes off appropriate in this scenario' and you generally come to the correct conclusion about 'bare' or 'bear'.

ageingdisgracefully · 03/01/2023 14:23

Coronated.

Is it an actual word? Seems to be quite common now.

Wallah!

Or, as seen recently In Yorkshire where the h would be silent:

“hey wallah”
😂

TheShellBeach · 03/01/2023 14:25

I see "definitely" spelt wrongly so often that I think "defiantly" is just more of the same, and not a typo.

RIP. Fly high with the angles.

Bumblefeet · 03/01/2023 14:33

Threw rather than through.
Seen on the website of a professional person, thanking customers for getting them threw the bad times.

Ncgirlseriously · 03/01/2023 14:33

I recently saw “in do time”. 😬

Barrythetimesprout · 03/01/2023 14:36

Irregardless

Makes me shudder.

Mollybeth · 03/01/2023 14:48

Been hearing on mumsnet a lot “she borrowed me it” “I borrowed it to her” ah! Drives me mad!

But not as confused as someone who says it and notices you undressing 😱

SenecaFallsRedux · 03/01/2023 16:25

Gotten

"Gotten" is correct in American English. I'm American so I use it.

Mischance · 03/01/2023 16:35

Please bare with me - no problem - I'll strip off with anyone at the drop of a hat! Smile

Ravageur · 03/01/2023 16:36

It's a doggy dog world!

AssumingDirectControl · 03/01/2023 16:37

His instead of he’s

His really pedantic about spelling.

AnotherVice · 03/01/2023 16:56

I chuckle to myself when patients tell me they have 'prostrate problems'.

I actually learnt on a thread similar to this, that gotten was the older English version which was retained in the US and shortened here.

EmergencyPoncho · 03/01/2023 17:02

He'd love too.

VanillaSnap · 03/01/2023 17:03
