Just bought a brand new toddler bedbug.

M/L still fit fine but... been on the fluff-wagon for far too long!

CharlottesClan · 18/06/2010 20:19

swampster

ive been very good with nappies myself. tho i am going to need new fitteds soon as ds is on last poppers for his medium NL
tempted by a TB stretchy but we have poor fit with front fitting nappies.

finishing the last leg on his longies now. ive looked thru my wool drawer and its ALL got green in it somewhere. i think i like green

mumface · 18/06/2010 20:25

Connor is also teething and being very grumpy, cried half of last night and now looks like he's got a virus he's covered in a rash (done glass test) So looks like he will be poorly for his 1st birthday party tomorrow
I couldn't resist a monster Rumparooz today but forgot to wait for footie discount!

Hello folks.

Thread had falllen off 'I'm on'

Knackered after work, only worked noon till 8 so have no reason to be really.

ood to hear you bought one swampster.

think I need to spend on some inserts. Probably hemp or bamboo. To help out the bumgenius and a few other pockets. DD is really wetting these days!

I have a nappy confession. She has been in dispos overnight . So sad she has been in cloth over night since she was tiny.
It's the smell. We use microfleece and fleece or wool wraps. I just can't tackle the smell at all. I think it's because the urine condenses off so efectively that it really really smells so so so so bad.
Maybe I should try a magic-all, wth plenty of boosting. We just can't use bedbugs or any natural fibre as our water is awful.

Sorry to hear about the welts. Not good.
at the Issy Bear!!

swampster · 20/06/2010 10:32

Ood indeed, tree! It is a bit like my favourite Bedbug but with pale spots instead of brown ones on chocolate (poo?) brown from Bums N Roses. I was scared it wouldn't still be there when I actually needed it and I love my brown Bedbug so much more than any of the others.

I gave up on microfibre for nights when Fluffles started making my eyes water. Any chance you could catch rain water to soak your nappies in? Or add bicarbonate of soda/soda crystals to your wash to soften the water?

Bicarbonate of soda is very good on smells and fine on sensitive skin. I was throwing a handful in the bath when the boys had chickenpox and my friend was using a paste of it on her little girl's face, even round the eyes, to stop itching.

And I ALWAYS use an extra hemp or bamboo booster in BGs, Blueberries, Tots - pretty much any nappy.

treedelivery · 20/06/2010 17:05

Ooooo I had forgotten about bicarb and soda crystals. I even have some! [blsuh]

Apologies for typos, tis the keyboard not me. Honest 'guv.

treedelivery · 20/06/2010 17:05

Oh blimey!

swampster · 20/06/2010 17:13

[blsuh] Gin

treedelivery · 20/06/2010 17:29

treedelivery · 20/06/2010 17:30

Hi, Connor had a grisly birthday. He's fine today though. Lewis has just been sick in bed, toy doggie got it and has just had to have a bath and blow dry as he won't sleep without him!
My favourite nappies atm are my Issy bear which I am getting double wear out of as you get the 2 inserts and one is fine for day and my Rumparoo (z?) which I think I am going to get a few more of as it ticks every box imo.
Have neglected my lovely posh night nappies and fleece/wool lately as am so tired (and not up for baby wrestling) am reaching for a boosted Minky magic-all which is doing the job well.

hi! been offline for a while - 'puter problems! just posting to keep the thread on threads I'm on really - no news here on the nappy front!

mumface · 22/06/2010 23:06

Bumgenius have just announced they are discontinuing v3 one size nappy and a brand new product (?) is being launched on the 29th June and they are taking pre-orders. But havn't said what it is!!

CharlottesClan · 23/06/2010 09:09

cant wait i really hope its something with poppers not applix

nothing much here to report except that im going away for three nights and two days and bringing the cloth this weekend.
might use dispo overnight tho as the NN we have are cumbersome to carry about.

along as the weather continues it will be fitteds and wool soakers, means i dont have to pack alot of clothes for him either

CharlottesClan · 23/06/2010 09:22

there is some talk that its just a V4 being released, and that the whole thing is just to whip up some hype..

dunno if thats true of course but i wouldnt be surprised, seems a bit hasty to discontinue a best selling nappy to replace it with something brand new that might not be as popular??

swampster · 24/06/2010 10:43

Whatever BG comes up with I bet it won't be particularly loveable. Practical, workaday, reliable but BORING. It is what they specialise in so they should forget the hype.

Speaking of love, my Bedbug arrived. Oh MY God! I had forgotten just how soft and strokeable they start out. This is me.

Looks like it would fit me.

mumface · 24/06/2010 10:53

Well I think I might have to EAT my next Weenotions order!
It's a side snap pocket. Butter minkee border cut with chocolate print LE cotton, with chocolate truffles embroidered on the bum and purple minkee inner (like a cadburys wrapper)
yum.

Just thought I should pop on and say hi! nothing new here, just busy with life, as usual! Hope everyone is OK! I'm coming up to 25 weeks, so guess that means I'll get to apply for the HIP grant soon? Tho I don't see my midwives again till around 28 weeks. But I'm sure some girly fluffy purchases are in order - good for a mum's health in pregnancy, right?!
