hi all

bagpuss - thanks! we will be getting more AIOs eventually... just not sure when yet. love thought of falling down leggings with Bambooty... not what generally comes to mind when people think about cloth bums lol

Sal - we have been sending out most replacement CTs today - to customers and retailers. Hope yours arrives soon... email me if not Also - we have been told that there is a problem with the ltd edition FBs... most of the ones we have sold have come back delaminated, so we are returning our stock to the distributor. Think was not just a couple of dodgy ones, but whole dodgy batch If you got it from us, just send it back and we can refund.

littlesez - hi!

octo - love matchy comp... can't wait to see photos

bagpuss · 04/05/2010 20:10

Ahh cheeksandcherries you are saving me from spending yet more money I don't really have! Was considering some fuzzis in the pretty patterns but won't bother now. Love the itti AIOs more than I thought I would and am glad they are coming back eventually.

Octo - I don't think I ever took a photo of them in the ooga wraps . I do have minkee bubbles wraps but again one is pink and one is blue so not really matching.

My stretchies have been dispatched so postman stalking for me tomorrow!

octothechildherder · 05/05/2010 08:02

Morning

Off to Ikea ... if you dont hear from me by 10pm, come a rescue me ....

No photo entries yet - think matchy matchy is a bit tricky! Will need to think of something else - any ideas?!

I slept all night - a rarity Hoorah!

Hello all. Nappies on the line. On housework strike as I'm really tired but I don't count those as a task more of a hobby

My tots easyfits seconds are here. They are such minor faults you can't even tell. All I can see is slightly wonky stitching on one, and the bamboo pile a little pulled on another. I got 5 for £38 on ebay site and they have an extra bamboo booster aswell.
lewis in pants again today, 3 changes already (1 at nursery) We are off to a school friends house, they have a trampolene & their own bouncy castle in the garden

I assumed Cushies were just crap nappies with a stupid name .

Hello, littlesez.

I've got a Dream Eze (another rubbish name!) on the way from Babybots as it looks like it must be my ultimate nappy BUT I disassociated my credit card from my Paypal account so things take FOREVER to clear.

I have poxy little boys. DS1 had it first and now DS2 and DS3 are spotty. Poor DS3 has it all over his bits and bum and keps bringing me nappies every time he has a wee or poo, demanding to be changed. Luckily I have LOTS!!!

There was talk of stinky fleece a while back on this thread . The only fleeces I've tried that don't smell revolting really quickly are the Sugar Peas ones. They're lovely Malden Mills windpro fleece which is quite lush. Every thing else is cheap and nasty by comparison.

swampster · 05/05/2010 14:10

I need a trampoline.

Linky please swampster.

Poor boys, hope the pox moves on quickly. Can't believe dd2 has escaped it so long.

Hattieboomboom · 05/05/2010 14:25

Hello all,

I'm expecting my first baby in August and am just planning my system for using cloth nappies. I'd like some advice on storing the dirty ones if possible...

I'm planning to dry pail, but don't like the look of the plastic nappy buckets that are designed for this and would like to use a slightly more aesthetically pleasing pedal bin instead, such as this one by brabantia: www.only-brabantia-bins.co.uk/Items/br380204?&caSKU=br380204&caTitle=Almond%20Brabantia%2012% 20Litre%20Pedal%20Bin

What do you think of this idea - do you think the 12 litre bin would be big enough to store 2 days worth of nappies?

And just how smelly are used nappies?! I know about the lavender oil and tea tree oil tips, but am still worried about escaping wiffs...

any advice appreciated.

Babybots · 05/05/2010 14:33

Hiya All,

Ahhh Swampster,(waves frantically back) Tis you with the Dream eze! keeping an eye for it to clear!

Hattie - How about a Monkeyfoot wet bag? My extra large one hangs on the back of my bathroom door holds at least 2 days nappies. But tbh any sealed container will do the job!

Octo has Ikea swallowed you up??

Hope everyone else is ok! Will go and catch up!

treedelivery · 05/05/2010 14:34

They really don't smell too bad at all We certainly don't get smells escaping.

We all love the biggest monkey foot wet bag here and also someone was doing funky bins......let me think....

I thought we'd bring them all back to one central nappy clearing, but actually I have several nappy deposit spots around the house, now dd2 is walking. Nappies tend to get flung off in the most suprising places. I have a pal in the bathroom, laundry and bedroom.

swampster · 05/05/2010 14:37

Yup, forget the buckets and bins, get an XL Monkeyfoot or two or three... I really love the small ones for out and about - just enough room for one shitty Itti.

octothechildherder · 05/05/2010 15:16

I didnt get there - ended up at Cribbs Mall in the shops as my US delivery hadnt been processed at Parcelforce even though I rang and paid for it this morning! So err, bought an iPhone ... lol lol hmmm now can surf internet all the time (scary cackling)

And now am late for school run ...

Swampster - you need to wash fleece everytime - not like wool.

swampster · 05/05/2010 15:23

I do wash my fleece every time, octo. But I'd rather the baby didn't sell like a damp terrier in the morning and he doesn't if he is in his Sugar Peas. But he does in his other fleece items.

swampster · 05/05/2010 15:24

Are you reading my post on the school run, octo?

Babybots · 05/05/2010 16:59

My fleece whiffs abit in the morning i must admit, i do just whip it off sharpish though!

ilovemydogandMrBrown · 05/05/2010 17:11

Have been delaying trip to Cribbs, but have to go tomorrow. Maybe could delay it until Friday. Am not a huge fan of malls, but have to return a pair of shoes that came with a 2 year guarantee and managed to, um, wear them . So get another pair! Whooo Hooooooo

Have to say Sugar peas are very un-terrier like.

Babybots · 05/05/2010 17:13

Lol swampster is that you? lol

I will look at sugar peas too then Thank you

ilovemydogandMrBrown · 05/05/2010 17:58
Hmm
mistermoo · 05/05/2010 18:20

myjob - last batch of CTs was cut too small to last B2P, so anyone who bought one is getting a replacement. (but gets to keep the small one too, as nothing wrong with them, except too small, iyswim)
There has only been a lamination issue with Ittis an those FB perfect sizes, i think, but keep an eye on that crunchy CT an let me know how you get on. ps sorry - am on laptop that no longer has the letter between c an e functional!

Salbysea · 05/05/2010 19:27

where can you get sugar peas? their site listed one UK distributer but when I looked on that site there were none

hattie I have this bin:
www.kiddicare.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/productdisplayA_34_10751_-1__31450_10001_
its good but you cant hook a mesh bag on the top like it says if you soak because the water travels up the mesh bag fabric then drips on the floor because the hook is outside the bucket not inside.
but I dry pail now so no probs. It keeps the smells in

the smells are only bad when you get amonia build up - a wash of the inserts (not pocket outers) in vinegar sorts it

I rinse the buckets in DSs old bath water plus a few drops of tea tree and lavender so they smell nice

I also have this for use as an over flow nappy bin (£2 at nearly new sale)
www.toysrus.co.uk/Babies-R-Us/Bathing/Toiletries-and-wipes/Johnsons-Baby-Skincare-Esse ntials-Box(0025283)

and a large monkey foot bag for nursery and some for out and about too

Babybots · 06/05/2010 08:06

Morning ladies!

Lol Octo with iphone, how long have you been after one of those! Yey for net access EVERYWHERE! Been ages since i went to Cribbs. I must be due a shopping trip by now (shhhh dont tell Mr B)

Had a busy day yesterday sorting out the CT replacements, There are mostly all on their way if anyone is waiting for one. Hope to have some stock shortly too.

Right best go and get dressed!

bagpuss · 06/05/2010 09:55

Morning! Day off here so still in our pyjamas!

Myjob, will do a picture later - ds1 is on the main computer and is busy apparently .

Stretchies turned up and are really big! I had forgotten how big size twos were. I am going to look out my others in the loft and then give them a wash later I think. The dts are going to have huge fat bottoms Has anyone here used tots folded down and were they OK under size one wraps? I seem to remember when I bought my original tots that there was a video demo on their website for folding down the size 2 nippa nappies to fit from birth although I never did this because I bought both sizes in the end.

Hope everyone else is well Nice to see you swampster - let us know how you get on with the dream-eze (agree about the name).
