New thread.

May our nights be dry, our days free of wicking, and may growth spurts coincide with lovely new fluffy product releases. Hurrah!

Yay for your results Octo, that's a load off your mind I'm sure.

Nappy news sounds exciting sal; will wait with baited breath.

shorties are v cute LP. My knitting is limited to single yarn...I can't do intarsia for the life of me and it just ends up full of holes. I need to practice though; I have enjoyed making my longies and soakers soooo much I'm going to try and sell some and cute motifs on the bum are the way forward I think.

I have been confined to the sofa sweating under a poorly baby for the last two days . Bumble has had a horrible temperature and just not himself at all and just wanted to sit on my lap and snooze. Took him to the docs this afternoon and they, typically, said a virus, but he was having a good old scream waiting for the calpol to arrive earlier and I saw at least two ulcers in his mouth so I'm thinking it might be hand foot and mouth as he has been right off his food. Time will tell I suppose, but here's hoping his fever has broken; it was almost 41 earlier!! Bit miffed that the doc didn't notice as he had a look in his mouth, but it's concievable they have only come up since 4pm I suppose.

Yay for the suedecloth nappies rachel . I had some GKs and really liked them, but the fabric started laddering after only a few uses so they had to go back.

waves to anyone I've missed.

Loujalou · 27/11/2009 19:57

Was just popping my head in. I have started trying to use cloth nappies. Have got some lollipop nappies with some basic wraps that we have started to use at night and some Fuzzi Bunzi.

Have got some more Fuzzi Bunz any size nappies on order with lollipop and not sure what to expect. We will have to wait some more as they don't have the ones we want are on special order. Am excited about the delivery of new nappies.

Octothebaglady · 27/11/2009 20:29

ooh exciting - which ones on special order? Fuzzi binz one size seem quite good - I like fuzzis.

LackaDAISYcal · 27/11/2009 20:35

I've got a few of the previous generation of OS fuzzis (they don't have an adjustable waist elastic) and I love them....they are quite low cut at the leg though which has caused a few issues with leaks if not tweaked just right on bumble. He is very chunky of thigh though; on a less sumo-like baby they will be fine!

mumface · 27/11/2009 21:00

Got my toddler Bedbugs today, Anemone (love it, not too girly at all) and turquoise/purple (I whistled at this one) and got a fluffy xmas card and magnet calender - Thanx Babybots
I also had another one from Jabula this week Mint choc chip (The boys had to have 3 each altogether otherwise it might have been considered favouritism )

LittlePants · 27/11/2009 21:14

Loujalou Hi!

I prefer P'tits dessous mini-maxi to fuzzis TBH, but fuzzis are good, especu=ially now they;ve brought out the onesize. Hope your fluffy post arrives soon!

4andnotout · 27/11/2009 21:24

Hi Loujalou Yay for fluffy post

thebluefoxategreensocks · 27/11/2009 22:38

anyone buying anything from Holden's Landing this weekend? Got an email from them about special stocking in honor of K&F Shops 5th birthday. Lots of lovely goodies there, but as tempting as the beautiful Bedbugs are, we really don't need any!

I came across a set of pyjamas which said: "In honor of K&F's birthday celebration, here's a little gift for you! This set is offered Free For Shipping ($5) to the first lucky customer to successfully stalk and snag it!"

and it hadn't been taken yet, so I quickly put it in my shopping basket and signed up & paid for it. But now I'm wondering if UK postage isn't included - so I'll wait and see if I get a refund and they said I wasn't meant to have it!

This one here:

Would be very cute for Clement in a few months time! So I'm hoping I'll be allowed it! He's already wearing size 12-18m fleece sleepsuits from Carters (USA), so they would fit him soon!

Rachel, I think it does say us and Canada shipping is included so maybe they will send an invoice for the extra p&p so you can have it. If so well done!
Do you find your bedbugs that are supposed to be the same sizes vary slightly in size?

thebluefoxategreensocks · 27/11/2009 22:51

Yes, I was too quick trying to snatch it to read all the fine print! So we'll see what happens!

As for sizing being a bit different, yes - but might be ones that are made slightly different. We have one which isn't a velour inner - maybe it's cotton, or cotton mix? And it's not as stretchy. Also the dreamscape we have, which is a stitched together scene, isn't rather smaller than them all. The plain dip-dyed bamboo velour ones are the most stretchy. And certainly their fitted day nappies with a cotton outer are smaller still!

treedelivery · 27/11/2009 22:53

Hi all!!

Back about an hour ago from the collection. Got 9 for them. Off to bed as a bit tired and ouchy.

x

mumface · 27/11/2009 23:00

My Bedbugs are all the same style OBV inner and outer and I have a toddler one that has a small waist, much smaller than the other 2 toddler ones, it's the same as my m/l ones across the top, but the rise the same as the other 2 toddler ones. Maybe it's just the fact that they are handmade and natural fabrics. It doesn't really matter though as I have a small boy and a big boy!

mumface · 27/11/2009 23:02

Tree, that's brilliant well done. have a well deserved rest!

cheeksandcherries · 27/11/2009 23:55

wowee, Tree, 9 sounds like loads, eh? you are saint.
enjoy your sleep, and hope DH lets you have lie in tomorrow...

Octothebaglady · 28/11/2009 08:13

well done tree great news!

Mumface - haven't had chance to post your order yet - will make sure goes out asap.

Rachel - I have lots of orders coming from US - if they won't international ship send me an email and they can send it to one of my suppliers and ship it with my stuff - my email is [email protected].

No fluff here - but christmas is now sorted thankfully. Just need to wrap and hide, wrap and hide, wrap and hide, wrap and hide ......... ((((dh never helps)))), wrap and hide, wrap and hide ((((lazy toad))), wrap and hide .... then cards (((dh never helps))) .... useful tips for getting husbands to realise they need to help very welcome - or making them think it is their idea???!!!!

Loujalou · 28/11/2009 09:14

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome. I think my friends think i am a bit mental using reusables though some of them would like to try they cannot be bothered so nice to find some people to chat to.

Getting the Fuzzi OS ones in pale blue me thinks they have the daisy ones in stock (call me old fashioned but not sure they are suitable for a boy though).

JennyPennyNAPPYWEB · 28/11/2009 09:18

Hello everybody! So sorry I haven't been around for ages! Just been so busy and hectic!

Still using lollipop micros on wool days and pockets (coolababy and yoyoos mainly) on non wool days (and sometimes even under longies!)

Can you tell me if we are meant to have sent out SS pressies out yet? I am still deciding what to send!

I also asked on CNT yesterday as I know babybots said on here that I shouldn't be usuing tablets and I had never heard that before so wanted to look it up. The thread is here if anybody is interested.

Have all been poorly here the last few days and stayed in except essential appointments. Was typical to be ill for both a coil fitting and dental work (under sedation).

4andnotout · 28/11/2009 09:51

Morning all. I'm sneaking on here although i should be packing everyones clothes for the night away, if i let dp pack the poor kids would look like urchins!

Tree well done you! I hope you are resting today!

thebluefoxategreensocks · 28/11/2009 12:47

Was browsing the nappies category on ebay and came across someone with a new/prewashed Bedbug and also 2 Goodmamas. Not sure how the price compares with new or if they're a bargain or not, but ending in 7 hours or so with no bids. I don't need them (nor have the funds! LOL) but thought someone here might be interested!
