New thread.

May our nights be dry, our days free of wicking, and may growth spurts coincide with lovely new fluffy product releases. Hurrah!

The wet bags will def go recorded or something - I can use a courier for the bigger orders - its the smaller orders with one item in that are a nightmare - am looking into using myhermes - recommended by ebay.

LittlePants · 30/10/2009 15:43

Well I tried to keep away for a bit, anyway, but couldn't resist having a peep today!
Rachel Have you thought about using a nappy with a CoolMax lining like Tirsokas? They are getting a reputation of being excellent for healing and preventing nappy rash, are stay dry, and cool. May be worth a try.

Bamboo should NEVER be washed at over 60ºC, as it cooks the fabric, so don't try it on any bamboo ones! Cotton can certainly be boiled.

I use ecoballs now to wash nappies, so there's no chance of detergent buildup. Only I use Ecover laundry bleach with it instead of the ecozone stain remover, as it's not fiddly, and targets the whole wash. Doesn't bleach colours BTW - just stains! Same active ingredient as Oxy Acton, only 1/4 of the price! I do a long wash with ecoballs, and just strip my machine and the ecoballs once a month with a 60º wash with 1 cupful of vinegar. That seems to keep everything fresh.

Those nappies from China - I've not tried them (as I won't buy anything that may have n=been made using child labour!) but I did read that the laminate separates at a look!

I think that's all my replies fr now, so I am now staying out for at least a week 4 days 24 hours a while!

thebluefoxategreensocks · 30/10/2009 17:00

littlepants: oooh, I love those Tirsokas ones - fantastic looking! I've really been wanting to try a coolmax lined pocket, but the Neppula ones were rather big on the legs for Benjamin (I bought a stuffable fitted from her through CNT) and it didn't fit him at all. So I'm a bit worried about spending so much out for a nappy that might not fit him - wish I could find a secondhand one to try!

Tell me, is Coolmax the same stuff as used for the Motherease Stay-Dry range?

And was it in the ebay sellers feedback that you saw about PUL separating? I usually shy away from any China products, but was just looking for a cheap way to build up a larger stash of pockets for Benjamin! So then China becomes tempting, esp if same PUL as Fuzzis might have used?

Well, Ittis, Baby Beehinds and Pop Ins are all made in China.

thebluefoxategreensocks · 30/10/2009 17:22

Indeed! Not toooo many things that aren't made in China!

mumskullface · 30/10/2009 18:47

Rachel If mumskullface hasn't sorted you already, have a look at my returns policy ;) I don't have a trial one on the go at the moment, as it's out on trial LOL, but perhaps I should get another one on the go!

CoolMax is the fabric used for pretty well all specialist sports wear, as it's so cool (I mean temperature wise1) It's not the same fabric as the ME staydry lining - it's muh more airy than that.

The Tirsokas are a completely different shape than the Neppula ones - much longer in the rise, and no bindings. They're a really great fit on a slim tall baby , but seem to fit well on chunky thighs as well!

Contact me through the shop contact if you like ;)

Hi All,

Just a quick one for me! Been to the Zoo today.

I would be VERY if anybody guesses the nappy that I am launching!

treedeLivingDeadery · 30/10/2009 22:26

Those Tirsokas sound lush. Might be my next big save-up-for!

Jenny - I have no idea what nappy you might be stocking

mumskullface · 30/10/2009 22:30

My guess was wrong so I can tell you, I thought it was Nenooh bamboo pockets, have seen them on Ebay. Look like Bumbgenius.

JennyPennyNAPPYWEB · 30/10/2009 22:48

Just searched on ebay and seen the ones you mean. They are not really like that. Mine will be quite a bit cheaper than that, and the actual lining is bamboo so no fleece at all. And they are not on ebay or anywhere either! I am sure I will be running some kind of promotion on them to start with so will let you know on the facebook fan page as these will probably be deleted
They are hopefully being shipped tomorrow and they don't take more than a few days .

By the way - question for babybots mostly do you know the cheapest courier from China?

Octothebigblackscaryspider · 31/10/2009 07:49

Myjob, it's all your fault! I've just ordered a basic WNNN and a lagoon WNSS with Celtic Unicorn embroidery, as well as buying a pre-owned WNNN in Ooga from CNT! You're a bad influence on me, and on mumface too (I see you succumbed to the WNNNtoo, lol)

I used Debbie Bliss SoHo wool for Kerr's blue and his orange longies. It's a bit hard to get used to knitting because the texture is so variable on it, but it does knit up lovely. I found the wool went much further by knitting on a circular needle. I'd love to buy some of the lovely wool on the WAHM's sites, but it's really expensive. Not much more expensive to just buy their longies considering the work you need to put in

I got Kerr's new Itti AIO, and it looks good. I would order more, but I want to wait until they are out in the plain colours because we had the other Ltd Edition prints already and I don't really want more of the same. And now I'll have to wait even longer since I've just splashed out on Wee Notions again. They are worth it though.

Jenny, your new nappies sound interesting too - can't wait to see them.

4and, how's the potty training going? At least you will be able to keep all the large ittis for dd4 and not have to buy double. Even better, you'll be able to sell all your mediums and buy something special

Rachel, Kerr had thrush nappy rash when I was on antibiotics. It looked really angry and sore, but the anti-fungal cream cleared it up really quickly. I did change to disposables while he had it and gave all my nappies a very hot wash just to be sure.

Tree, good name for the thread. Our poor postie is so fed up about the strike, but they are being pushed into a corner by the fat cats as usual and they don't see themselves as having any choice.

LittlePants · 31/10/2009 14:21

My trial Tirsokas medium size has just arrived back. If anyone wants a go, contact me through the shop;)

Oh, you DEFINITELY need the other spotty ittis! I'm getting a bamboo outer with blue cuddlesoft inner for my custom NN. The Ooga one is the version before the newest one, so will wait and see how they both go before I order any more

Where did you get your wool? I got the Debbie Bliss from here and there seems to still be loads in the sale. I bought 4 balls in each colour, so only about £8 for each pair of longies.
