New thread.

May our nights be dry, our days free of wicking, and may growth spurts coincide with lovely new fluffy product releases. Hurrah!

You can wash wool with pure vegetable or olive soap if you have any myjob or you can get a cheap bar from the supermarket.

Depends how pure it is, I think wool is sensitive to chemicals. I would wait incase you ruin them and use something else for a couple of days.

I don't think it would ruin them, but might need extra lanolin after. Wool wash contains lanolin so adds it, where as washes not designed for woolies, strip the lanolin out. If they are expensive then I would be careful!

Tree - I am pretty sure Scotia has just had her machine fixed. Not sure what she did with nappies - might be worth asking her.

swampster · 19/11/2009 14:41

I think a bit of baby bath would be fine - with a dash of lanolin.

Incidentally, Lansinoh and LOADS of other baby products are half price at Sainsbury at the mo.

Secret Santa? Oooooh! Large, boys, fluffy... Surprise!

Are we really going to be outed after? I thought Secret Santas stayed secret.

Hello everyone

LackaDAISYcal · 19/11/2009 18:15

Did I read that you can use lansinoh to lanolize your woolies?

Hey swampster ; I was just thinking I hadn't seen you about recently!

finished my wool soaker! Sooo much easier to knit than the longies. The graft is a bit loose in places, but I'm really pleased with them and will try and upload a photo later. And I have enough wool left for another pair as well

Babybots · 19/11/2009 18:50

to nappy ban. (Try again after xmas)

swampster · 19/11/2009 19:45

Awww! myjob.

Daisy, I have been lurking and admiring all the woolly wonders and wishing I could knit. You can indeed use Lansinoh to lanolise - dissolve an big blob in hot water, add a squirt of wool wash to disperse, add cold water while mixing it up... I do my woollies inside out.

I want another Bedbug. And some more wool. Absolutely don't need them though.

Evening all,am mn'ing from my bed feeding a snuffly snotty dd4, although I think I'm equally snuffly, infact I think if I sneeze anymore I may fall out of bed

Have done rainbows and brownies so tired now but loads to get on with tonight as I'm out tommorow at a fostering support meeting.

Can anyone else get onto CNT tonight as i cant

Myjob & @ nappy ban, dp is pleased now that i had so many nappies as me selling them off has paid for the majority of the girls xmas presents and if you work out how much i got lost on each nappy it's only pence so still works out less than prehaps 6 months worth of sposies if not less!

4andnotout · 19/11/2009 20:59

That sounds really rude, i wasn't being rude about your dh, just that tehy are far more practical than us fluffmeisters i don't think men get quite so addicted to the fluff!

LackaDAISYcal · 19/11/2009 21:15

At least you'll have some secret santa fluff to look forward to myjob

On that note, I have been scouring and came across this that one of you mums of girlies might like .

treedelivery · 19/11/2009 21:18

Hi all.

There is diarrhea on our bomb proof woolies. Been too lazy to wash them today too. Thankfully have 2 fleeces dry!

Have managed a machine wash, I just need to be in and clock watching as it is stuck on cycles. Tut.

I want more fluff!! S'not fair!!

4andnotout · 19/11/2009 21:27

treedelivery · 19/11/2009 22:43

Actually no help at all, but chipped in.

treedelivery · 19/11/2009 22:44

Am always really surprised people remember I am a midwife, I always think I am not even known!!

swampster · 19/11/2009 22:50

Awww, tree, I was only just telling some friends about your lovely description of what being a midwife was like (where was that? was it in sssshhhhhhhhhh another forum? I'd like to read it again.)

LackaDAISYcal · 19/11/2009 22:52

was that the bit about getting excited by poo?

I think it's the "delivery" in your name that reminds me!!

reet, off to bed; will get a few hours in before my little charmer wakes for his nightly scream the house down session

swampster · 19/11/2009 22:55

It was a little bit more cerebral than that, Daisy.
