New thread.

May our nights be dry, our days free of wicking, and may growth spurts coincide with lovely new fluffy product releases. Hurrah!

Myjob It's probably my ex-demo one! They are really absorbent, and very long in the rise, a gorgeous silky bamboo fabric. It's an absolute shame they stopped making them, as they made an excellent overnight nappy, because, quite apart form the absorbency in the nappy itself, they are so roomy, so there's loads of room to boost. The Babeco bamboo night time pad is still being made by EcoEarth, although they have changed the fabric to a bamboo fleece on the new ones. Still bvery absorbent, and a fabulous night time booster for any nappy - just take some drying though!

LittlePants · 31/10/2009 17:16

Myjob Sorry, I didn't finish that! I will fo=it up to a good 35lbs if not more I am guessing. Certainly loads bigger than an MEOS.Have just compared them, and the Babeco is a good 2 1/2 " longer in the rise, and a good 1" wider around the waist. I see no reason at all why it wouldn't work under wool/fleece, but haven't tried it. I can't think of anything that doesn't work under wool/fleece though!

Myjob - Typo there I meant a good 45lbs not 35 lbs! Quite possiby larger as well - it's VERY generous, but you can make it smaller using the same adjustment system as the MEOS

Jenny - too many variables to give a precise answer, depends on your method of transport, number of units etc etc

Scotia: regarding thrush and nappy washing, did you usually wash at 60 degrees anyway, or only to clear any possible bugs? I'm still trying to bring myself to power washing all our millions of nappies! I only just did it a few weeks ago, so seems a chore to have to do it again. Obviously if it's necessary then I'll happily do it. But since I always wash at 60 degrees (which is supposed to kill everything) I had hoped they'd be ok. But certainly don't want to bring the rash out again!

LittlePants · 31/10/2009 22:03

Not sure what the fabric of the binding is - it's definitely not cotton. It is much softer and wider than the ME wraps binding. Possibl polyester, but really not certain. Difficult to describe really. Sorry I can't help more.

LatinDAISYcal · 31/10/2009 22:48

helloooooo, back from hols and bookmarking quickly as no time to catch up and it's bumble's birthday tomorrow so probably not back till Monday.

I hope everyone is well

and Octo, I got my baby balm and keyring fine so post is getting through.

Scotia · 31/10/2009 22:59

Rachel, I wash my nappies at 40 if I can get away with it, but sometimes they need a 60 wash if they are particulatly yucky! I don't know if it was really necessary to wash them again but I didn't have a massive stash anyway so it wasn't a big deal to do it. If you ususally wash at 60 I probably wouldn't bother. Hope the rash clears up quickly - Kerr's started to improve almost straight away.

Welcome back Daisy, and happy birthday to bumble

thebluefoxategreensocks · 31/10/2009 23:54

scotia: thanks for reply! Yes, rash is doing much better - nearly gone! Well, maybe it is all gone, but just faint patch of redness just below his waist - but maybe it's a bit of dry skin. Probably will stop the cream tomorrow and then brave putting him back into cloth and hope it doesn't return!

Scotia · 01/11/2009 10:31

Good news Rachel. I used the cream for about 48 hours after the rash was completely gone and it never recurred, so good luck

4andnotout · 01/11/2009 10:32

Morning all.

Major hangover.

Will post again later whent he screen stops hurting my eyes!

treedeLivingDeadery · 01/11/2009 19:16

Hope all continues well Rachel?

I have the mother of al periods [must be the owner of an older baby ]

I have had to show extreme restraint to not go and buy the full kit required for washable sanpro. I think it's the least I deserve I am not convinced it could cope though. I'd forgotton how heavy mine are. Arse crap bloody load of rubbish.

And why isn't san pro free? Harumph.

I have been using csp daily so I'm going to splash out on some weenotions minkee pantliners, I think I prefer lunawolf pads for actual periods though, although I have had one period and no sign of another have tested and it was bfn so not preggers again!

Bought another fleece soaker for dd4 yesterday so should be able to list her medium soaker and skirty as I should have enough using 2 in rotation (will probably get another to be safe, dd3 has 3)

Having bit of a wobble over buying dd's Xmas pressies have no idea what to buy them especially dd4. Have put a bid on a fur real 3ft pony for dd2, he'll knows where I'd hide it till Xmas if I win!!

Cheapest courier I've found is www.myhermes.co.uk/wps/portal/PN_CTR/. They are often cheaper than Royal Mail, and very reliable, although not fast.
I use www.pharosparcel.com/Home/ for parcels over 15 KGs, or anything over 2 Kgs going abroad.

Octothewetbagpacker · 02/11/2009 09:14

I have looked into myhermes but they seem to take as long as royal mail!

waiting for bags ... they are on their way .... working at 10.40 .... come on Mr UPS!

Octothewetbagpacker · 02/11/2009 09:37

THEY ARE HERE!!! Yipppeeee

Scarybots · 02/11/2009 09:41
