New thread.

May our nights be dry, our days free of wicking, and may growth spurts coincide with lovely new fluffy product releases. Hurrah!

Sorry, Elouise I should be able to spell it lol

Octothebaglady · 11/11/2009 16:43

Oh dear mumface - not good - I think the hemp can get a bot hard sometimes and although stays nice and soft inside the binding has obviously rubbed - shame. I don't really get on with my UD soy nappy - its really nice but can't get it sparkly and find it a bit wrinkly I like nappies that don't have secret wrinles to hide poo! May sell it - will wash it again and post pic on FB!

mumface · 11/11/2009 18:43

Am bit worried about Connor, noticed he felt hot, crying a lot, have taken temp, it's 38.4 and just googled anything over 38 is too high. have given calpol & put bed in just long a top, no covers. He has gone to sleep will take temp in an hour

aw poor connor. We have been struggling to keep bumble's temo down since the weekend. Today it has been spiking at 39.5 and was only keeping it at 38 with calpol and ibuprofen combined. Poor scone is miserable.

He is off to bed wearing a lollipop organic cotton nappy with his new pumpkin pants over the top....pic on profile. They are sooo gorgeous, and you know I'm thinking, I can DO that, I can make those!

mumface · 11/11/2009 19:47

Temp has gone down to 37.1 degrees so Calpol working

yes soy UDNN are fabby, I will be stocking them eventually. The only night nappy i like.

Hope bumble is OK

Think I am going to set up an ebay shop -
who thinks I should name it nappyweb and who thinks I should keep it completly seperate? Its mainly going to be the Yoyoo pockets on there for now I think.

treedelivery · 11/11/2009 21:57

Gosh I dunno Jenny. I think I think seperate...

Get well soon Bumble and babymyjob

Wrap looks fabby Daisy - will be interested to hear how it gets on. Have has several in Octo's basket many times but never seem to press checkout. Purely because of funds. Also had a few in Nappyweb checkout too, same reason for lack of purchase.

How many night time arrangements do the non tumble driers have? I have 2 TB fleece wraps which I find utterly fab, and a so-so pair of longies, and a fab pair of shorties.
Then 4 micro-fleece [2 brand spanking new, so lovely - I didn't realise they are so thick as mine were preloved, maybe they have changed the fleece??] and 2 softees. I have a bumhugger and a beehind but have kind of given up on them. So old and stinky.

So 6 nappies and 4 wraps. I don't think it's enough for my slatternly ways!

Had to stick H in the sink as an emergency bath just now - what a stinky bum!

Jenny - I ran the lollipop ebay shop to clear out old stock and it was great, but it needs to be stuff that you are happy to sell cheap. A shop costs £15 per month and you also need to comply with distance seller regs which you don't as a private seller. You could just sell your products through your personal account and not pay the £15. I closed the shop a while ago now and just have my personal account running now - I don't really bother with it now tbh - its just another thing tothink about which I don't need lol. I have powerseller status - which is now called excellence award or something! The powerseller forum is very good as it provides high volume and good sellers with good support and back up.

Ebay can also be a nightmare though! With non-payers, goods not being received and prices being persistently undercut. I use ebay for lots of stuff like postage goods and have favourites which I always use - I think lots of people now do this.

Lollipop have changed the fleece on their nappies - one odd batch was thinner and quite bobbly - the new ones are much nicer - I have some in the sale section. I do like them but prfer softees as love the total fluffiness

treedelivery · 11/11/2009 22:31

Ah! I have 2 of the old batch then and had 2 size 1 old batch too. Am delighted with my 2 new fleece bargains from nappywardrobe

LackaDAISYcal · 11/11/2009 22:37

I am just building my nighttime collection...if I ever get these flipping longies knitted. bumble will have grown out of them by the time I'm done! I don't have any specific night nappies though.

Been up to check on bumble and his temp is normal....for the first time since Sunday although he is only lightly clothed.

He also feels pretty dry in the nappy area so so far so good

I would be inclined to keep the same name Jenny or else have a name with Nappyweb in it. Can't think of a good reason for it though other than I have come across a few ebay sellers who sell there as an offshoot of their main business and have the same name.

mumface · 11/11/2009 22:38

Night nappies: I have 3 bedbugs & 1 WN NN for Connor (boosted flexi-tots for emergencies) with 1 rikki, 1 airflow, 2 fleece & 1 wool to go on top.
For Lewis : 3 Ecobub wool pockets, 1 Huggle, 3 Ellas House, 2 rikki's and woolies also fit him.
1 Upsy Daisy NN on way for Connor.
Myjob- What do you have on the way?

Octothebaglady · 11/11/2009 22:38

I think it was just a blip tbh - the new ones are much nicer

Dh is out & I am off to bed soon(ish)!

Octothebaglady · 11/11/2009 22:41

Glad temp is stable and bottom is dry! You do need to change them quickly in morning as when the sit down it squiches to the wee through the fleece if completely soaked - maybe thats where the word soakers comes from lol!!

Our night nappies are 2 cotton tots, 1 softee, 1 sandys & fleece soakers - tried rikkis the other night and he wee'd through it by 11pm. Fleece is such a revelation for us.

LackaDAISYcal · 11/11/2009 22:46

Just left a comment on your CNT blog Octo

Will make sure that info is passed onto DH for the morning

night all

Octothebaglady · 11/11/2009 22:58

I have a new blog too nappywardrobe.blogspot.com/

Octothebaglady · 11/11/2009 22:59

LOL at the adsense adverts!!

JennyPennyNAPPYWEB · 11/11/2009 23:20

Octo - that would explain why my older lollipop micros were rubbish! It really put me off, until I tried one of the ones you sent me, My size 1s feel like they have no absorbency what so ever. They are so thin! My newer purple ones are much better though, although I still only get on with them under longies though, under Pul they only last about 2 hours. Under longies its more like 4.

Rachel - would you like to try one of the new bamboo pockets? Could lend you one for free?

JennyPennyNAPPYWEB · 11/11/2009 23:27

In fact, does anybody (octo maybe?) know the exact materials a micro is made of? I got a sample of a blanket from the manufacterers of YoYoo and it looks and feels exactly the same. It's even the exact same colour as the lavender micros

Also got some wipes from them and will definatly be stocking them when I do my next order with them. They are made with 2 layers of the same silky soft bamboo that the pockets have and are just perfect for wipes. Although don't know all the £ details yet.

NappyShedSal · 12/11/2009 00:21

The micro is only fleece on the outside - you can't have a nappy made of fleece - it wouldn't absorbe anything. I "think" the micros have wellsoft microfibre inside them - same material as the softee. But I might be way off track. I shall make it my mission to find out for you, unless Octo knows for definite.

Ariela · 12/11/2009 02:26

They do have wellsoft inside. Don't like it myself as it tends to be bulky/seems stiffer than eg the fluffle style microfibre fabric of eg Tots Bots FlexiTot IMO.

JennyPennyNAPPYWEB · 12/11/2009 06:11

Ariela - they are a lot less bulky than the fluffles I have. In fact, the size 1 fluffles are about double the bulk of the size 2 mircos (DD2 fits both sizes).

I knew you couldn't have a nappy made of fleece as it not absorbant but just wondered exactly what it was.

Not sure about them being stiff? Even my old ones are still really soft, which is what I like about them as most of my napppies are very hard, even bamboo as we have hard water, but the mircos are my softest nappy.
And definatly the fastest drying fitted I own.

Sorry, can you tell I like them?
