Littlepants, was that on ebayUK? I know they had reinstated used nappy selling on the American site, but were still removing listings from the UK site quite recently.

go for it Natty; if I had any sewing know how I'd be wanting to make my own nappies as well! As it is the idea I have for something revolutionary will fall by the wayside as I can't figure out how to do it for the life of me.

ilovemydogandmrobama · 04/10/2009 18:48

good point Daisy. The term used is diapers which would mean the US site, as the UK site would use nappies

Yes I did make money through the ebay shop - had loads of stuff to clearout at low prices so worked very well. People ime won;t really buy normal priced stuff on ebay - has to be a bargain!

You cannot sell motherease, bumgenius, babylegs and prob loads more through ebay as is on the terms and conditions. There are some ebay sellers who do sell stufff but it has been stock they have bought out from another shop/stockist rather than from the distributor iyswim. Like the babylegs person the other week didn;t buy them from 2012ltd.

LatinDAISYcal · 04/10/2009 19:20

I just had a look at ebay LP and found this:

"Used clothing may be listed on eBay, so long as the clothing has been thoroughly cleaned according to the manufacturer's instructions and is stain free. Used underwear including, but not limited to, boxer shorts, panties, briefs, athletic supporters and cloth nappies is not permitted. Listings that contain inappropriate descriptions will be ended"

I think you may have been looking at the American Ts & Cs

LittlePants · 04/10/2009 19:29

Sorry ops: Scrap that! Yes, I somehow got put onto the ebay.com site! (I was logged onto ebay UK, so don't know how I ended up on .com.

It appears nappies sold in dollars are OK if they've been used, but good old British ones are contaminated. Sorry if I got your hopes up there!

LittlePants · 04/10/2009 19:36

Oct - no you're not. If you look closely, sellers are only protected if they send by a tracj=able serviec. I know to my cost! Got done big time once, as someone bought a bundle, thanked me by email, and then 3 weeks later reported to her credit card that she g=hadn't made the purchase herself - her card had been used fraudulently. PayPal didn't even ask me for proof of posting or anything - they just refunded her, and took the money back out of my account. (After 3 1/2 weeks, they told me not to send the item, as the transaction was unsafe!!!!)
I did have a proof of posting, and I did, after much arguing, and threatening to get onto Watchdog and the FOS, get the money back from PayPal "as a good will gesture" but you do have to send by a trackable service, or you lose your seller protection! At least unles they have changed things recently! (Will hunt through their conditions when I have time!)

Octothechildherder · 04/10/2009 21:09

Now must start cleaning up after dropping the eldest to school..how they make so much mess in one hour il never know!

LatinDAISYcal · 05/10/2009 10:21

bumble went to bed last night with an anonymous one size bamboo nappy, a bamboo booster and a small GAD hemp with tots rainbow wrap....he woke up screaming at 10.30 and after an hour I took the nappy off; instant quiet . He then proceeded to scream until 2.30am, and I think he had a tummy ache, whether caused by the nappy combo as he was pretty tightly trussed in, or else that was aggravating it I'm not sure.

so it's all a bit blurry here this morning, he has gone back to bed and DD is being challenging.

got the babylegs Octo and the pot of gold balm. I've been reading the testimonials on their website and expecting great things. DD is potty training and all round her bottom is red and spotty and she has an angry red weal where she has been sitting on the potty. Nothing is working for her skin at the minute, not even doublebase and she is sensitive to loads of ingredients so we'll see what happens with this. Do you have the skin balm as well, or just the babay balm?

TheNattyTheHippy · 05/10/2009 10:54

brown spot and blue spot kmummy

TheNattyTheHippy · 05/10/2009 10:58

my two both went to bed in size 2 bamboozels last night. seems to be working well for us.

got XL huggle today, the size diff between that and a large is silly so sending it back, along with the stupidly big wrap the site said would be the only thing to fit over it

will keep the large i got for charlie tho

got alot of fluff today. large WNNN, 2 XL wraps for ellen (hurrah back in pink!) 2x disanas, 2 huggles and huge wrap.

must dash and pick tom up from school

Octothechildherder · 05/10/2009 12:50

kmummy · 05/10/2009 12:55

Octothechildherder · 05/10/2009 13:02

Octothechildherder · 05/10/2009 13:25

Is it your birthday Tree? Happy Birthday

JennyPennyNAPPYWEB · 05/10/2009 14:05

Natty - With the huggles - I have afriend who wants to buy some for her 3.5 year old. What size do you think she would need? Are they good for nights? She just needs some for night times and thats it.

JennyPennyNAPPYWEB · 05/10/2009 18:31

Oh an Natty - I didn't see your post on CNT about the fleece coolababys until late last night. They are on my site now, under coolababy pockets. Special offer runs till the end of next weekend.

Scotia · 05/10/2009 19:13

I've put pictures of K's new longies on CNT here if anyone wants to see them I just finished the Debbie Bliss ones this morning and they are lovely, if a bit neat fitting (boo).

Will get a chance to catch up later

Scotia · 05/10/2009 19:15

Oh and happy birthday Tree

LatinDAISYcal · 05/10/2009 20:02

Scotia, that's the same yarn that I used for my longies (using the tiny birds pattern)....yours look much better than mine though . I ironed them before sewing up and didn't do them any favours.

Happy Birthday Tree
