Welcome back Octo!

Happy Birthday to those who ive missed.. Did i read some thing about diamonds! Wow!

Right just a quick one from me im off to bed!

mumskullface · 28/10/2009 22:39

MyjobI am still after more night nappies too as struggling to get the 2 bedbbugs dry. Think I'm going to go for a bumhugger, they are £9.95 on their site with free p&p. Have I heard they can go quite crispy? We are soft water here though. It's either that or a WNNN (or both)

Octothebigblackscaryspider · 28/10/2009 22:44

mumface - I have one you can try - email me!

mumskullface · 28/10/2009 22:51

Thanks Octo, Think I am just going to take the plunge and order one though, especially with the RM business going on.

swampster · 28/10/2009 22:58

Get a WNNN! Bumhuggers are pants! Not too fond of the fit since a poo just fell out of one. I liked them in small on a wee baby but, like Sandy's, once you size up the cute factor just vanishes.

mumskullface · 28/10/2009 23:11

Oh! you've put me off. Hmm will browse WN in morning I think.
Myjob full report on WNNN required please!

JennyPennyNAPPYWEB · 29/10/2009 08:38

We need to start thinking of new thread titles. We seem to have lost a few members on this thread though like Natty and 2CB.

Will post properly later when not so busy.

Octothebigblackscaryspider · 29/10/2009 10:02

2CB can't keep up but she does lurk! Have seen natty about too.

thread title: to buy or not to buy a christmas nappy!

WNNN: Can't decide!!
Either dragons on black or dinos on black, with either scarlet inner (would look good with black but could I wash with other nappies?) or lime minkee with dragons. But is minkee as stay dry as fleece?

thebluefoxategreensocks · 29/10/2009 13:59

Scarybots: Motherease Bedwetter pants have worked very well for us! Abigail who will be 4 next month has been wearing them for over a year now. She's dry at night 98% of the time, but oddly enough, it seems tht everytime she goes back to wearing ordinary pants, we end up with a soaked bed! Maybe she just feels cold at night, and the layers of the ME pants make her feel more secure? Though we have had the odd accident in them too, usually if she's extra tired, or drinks too much before bed, etc. I think brand new pairs might take quite a number of washings to be fully up to scratch and take a huge wee. We bought ours secondhand and they've been fab from the start - never had a leak!

Scarybots · 29/10/2009 14:07

Ahh thanks thats good to know, I've recomended those! but we dont stock them so passed her over to babykind.

Myjob - your braver than me i wouldn't know where to start with wool at all!!

ellieloooooooooooooween · 29/10/2009 14:10

thebluefoxategreensocks · 29/10/2009 14:13

Meant to say that after doing all cloth nappies for 4 year now (between my 3 children) and a total cloth addict (well, near enough! LOL ), I'm feeling totally helpless and in need of advice! I just keep having problems after problems!

Benjamin does lots of scratching with his eczema, and this scratching often extends to his nappy area too, even tho no eczema there! I think the wet cloth next to his skin doesn't help, but totally fleece lined nappies make him too hot - and at night, he wees too much at once to get through the fleece quick enough! It seems that Bumgenius nappies (with their lovely suedecloth inners) are much better for him, keep him dry and fairly cool, so I bought 5 the other day to give him a trial of them with. They work quite well, though not exactly the most roomy nappy on a good sized 2.5yo boy! And of course, regardless of what he's wearing, he'll eventually be caught digging in his nappy, and dripping in blood!

Second nappy problems involve Clement (nearly 7mo) who has been battling odd rash in his nappy area for a couple of weeks now! First I was sure it was due to build up in nappies (as they were very smelly) and it went away when he was in disposables, but it didn't seem to respond much better when I stripped the nappies, and they weren't smelling anymore either. But the fact that it went away with disposables made me think it must have been in the nappies. Especially since it re-appeared with certain cloth nappies (some of our bamboozles, though not all, oddly enough!) etc. But then after several days in disposables, it has come back with vengance, and now it won't shift at all! However, it does so happen that it reappeared around the same time Lidl changed how they make their nappies! They've changed the surface as well as blue (instead of white) frills/edges. So I'm beginning to worry if it's eczema there, and he's just reacting to everything! I just feel a bit like crying at the moment, as I love cloth nappies, but nothing is working at the moment - though, not even sposies! So I really am baffled!

Scarybots · 29/10/2009 14:44

Quick random question!
Has anyone requested me on FB today. Ive got a random unknown request?

Rachel- Thanks for the help i felt quite useless too asking for advice but my ds is no where near potty training for me to of had the experiences! Im not sure about your little one i think id have come up with the same conclusions as you that it was the nappies but not sure now hes in sposies and thats the same! Have you tried Silver liners? Metanium always clears up any probs i have with rash quite quickly. Is it a fungal infection? Maybe some canestan will clear it up for him?

Elleloo yes they are lovley arnt they, i still can't believe that they work or even how they work tbh! lol I love that theres no more sore bum and red marks from wraps in the morning!
