Yaaaay! Fluffy post!

My "Little Comfort has just arrived! It's rather gorgeous. Definitely a huge improvement on the Motherease onesize! 2 popin boosters of different sizes come with it, so you can use the large, the small or both, as they popper together. Also the fold over at the top is similar to a Motherease, but it poppers down so can't slip. And I think it's a bit longer in the rise as well - not certain until it's been washed, but it's certainly longer than the washed ones I have

First impressions are it looks really good. No grandchildren in nappies now to try it out on though Will have to contact a member of the team!

Sorry - will catch up on the thread later - made a resolution to limit the time I spent on this thread, as it's as addicy=tive as nappies!! LOL

I've got a longies pattern Scotia, but I still wasn't too sure of the measurement. I thought 19inches sounded about right though.

the one I'm using is Burgh Baby Gear that I downloaded from Ravelry, for the reason that the designer has no objection to you selling the things you make using her patterns provided you give her an acknowledgement. the whole short rows and double ended pins thing scares me though. Planning onstarting tomorrow, with wool.

Can I lanolize machine washable wool?

mumface · 16/10/2009 14:23

I lanolised my Hahllu. woolies for 1st time last night as they were feeling damp in morning. They look slightly smaller now but luckily they were too big to start with! My mum is half way through cream merino shorties now.
Fluffy post of large fuzzi and mini Lala but not had chance to open as been sorting out pushchair. Managed to find a new wheel for £28. That's money I could be spending on nappies at The baby show on Sunday!!!

LatinDAISYcal · 16/10/2009 14:35

oh and WTF with the exploding wheel mumface. How on earth did it happen? I woulod get onto P&T if I were you as it sounds a bit unsafe. Imagine if one of the DC had been in the rear seat?

JennyPennyNAPPYWEB · 16/10/2009 15:01

for pretty much everybody!

Mumface - I would definatly contact P+T. They might even give you a free buggy or your money back if you don't mention you have a new one! That is really bad though and could have been dangerous.

Scotia for your neigbours!

I don't think Woolies would work with only 25% wool. It's meant to be min 80% ideally. So although you may have just about got away with 50% (proabably a light wetter/daytime use) I think 25% is pushing it TBH. But you would be better off asking on CNT as they have lots of woolie experts! OR even CNA who have lots of wooly WAHMs.

Going to measure my 2 this afternoon for some more longies.

LatinDAISYcal · 16/10/2009 16:01

and failing P&T try Anne Robinson! P&T (or the UK distributors Out'n'About) were pretty good about replacing my burst covers for mine (although we are on set No3 now so not impressed with the quality of manufacture). If you contact where you bought it from they should deal with it all for you. Failing that, I have the direct email of the chap at Out'n'About

for your neighbours Scotia. I'm pretty sure that if it's a sudden death the police get automatically involved; certainly they came when my Dad died a few years ago.

JennyPennyNAPPYWEB · 16/10/2009 17:30

Do you remmeber i said the other day about the wooolies I got that were way too big for Talia? Well, despite looking like they would be too small I tried them on Elouise and they look fab! They are perfect in size (although not sure they would fit over a bulky nappy so only for days). She has them on now for a bit but will use them properly tomorrow.

My bamboo sandys have been hanging to dry for 2 days so far and are still quite wet

mumface · 16/10/2009 18:11

The phil & Teds was my brothers fault as he pumped up the tyres too much yesterday.
But he & my ex-husband have offered to go halves on the new wheel so I don't have to spend my babyshow money.
Just had dinner with my brother in pub & he feels really bad.
