Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

OOoh mumface - I heart my one puddlekins. 5th Oct is my birthday......might have to lurk there! I also heart BBH minkee AIO. They look so comfy.

Like the title myjob! [ I like high rise nappies too, I make long babies. I think I need to get used to nappies looking and seeming smaller though, she is 15lbs now so her nappies are taking up less of her body.

No fluff for me today.

rusmum · 02/10/2009 10:26

oh no have just washed a bbh insert on 90 with bleach!!!! my accident of course!

Octothechildherder · 02/10/2009 10:32

Correct answers - ta da - the patches can be glued to the PUL covers using badge glue which is washing machine and tumble drier safe! If you want to sew them on you need to use polyester thread not cotton

Ah that answers my Q about holes in the PUL. I am thinking about having one on the shorties my mum is knitting. They are cream merino wool.To sew or glue on wool though?

Babybots · 02/10/2009 10:48

Ahh Great Octo! and there was me planning on the tricky task of getting a needle out and attacking an itti! Now where do we get such glue? lol

Morning all! Been to the dotors with ds already this morning to be told its just a cold and give him calpol... I knew that!!

Oh is anyone else having problems getting it to facebook? or do they just not like me today??

newspaperdelivery · 02/10/2009 10:50

Am at the shorties mumface

They would look really ace on ittis wouldn't they. Fun!

kmummy · 02/10/2009 11:18

Myjob your pics are fab, and your los are very cute!

Fluffy post this morning, a black itti, some GK hemp&bamboo inserts and some muttaquins all the way from the US of A!

I think id bodge up the nappy patches even with glue, im incredibly blonde sometimes!

Took middle lo to the doctors today after his poorly episode last week and theyve spotted a heart murmur, so weve been referred to the hospital, praying its an inocent one.

Feeling very lucky today, as a lady on the forum i use alot lost her little man yesterday at only 3months, so sudden and im in shock, i cuddled my boys that little bit tighter last night, and shows the little things really dont matter.

Octothechildherder · 02/10/2009 11:18

You can either post them to me and I will do for you and post back as would need to send patch anyway or you need to buy some Loctite595 Bdge Fix

I would sew onto wool.

newspaperdelivery · 02/10/2009 11:24

Ooo kmummy. for that lady. Dear me.

Loads of ladies we book in pregnancy have history of a murmur in childhood. It seems very very common and hardly ever anything remotely interesting to the medics.

I want longoes, patches, puddlekins and a xl wetbag.

i know, she was saying how happy he was that morning, it just doesnt bare thinking about

NPD my smallest (6months) has had one since birth, weve had scans etc and its got a name, but basically innocent, so fingers crossed his is the same, they picked up gestational diabeties with this last pg so i do feel to blame in a way, the consultant is fairly certain i had it with my other two also, middle lo in Q was 7lb 6oz at 34weeks

Octo thats good to know, i want to see one finished, are they done on the site yet?

Also ive never heard of BBH minkee...what are they like, not good news about puddlekins...i love my silent night...i feel an order coming on!

I have some longies on the way from france, some bububebes from Canada (3) a monkey WNNN, the T from little pants, and am waiting for a custom slot from woolywumpkins....hhmmm maybe i shouldnt after looking at that!

mumface · 02/10/2009 11:35

AArgh Tirsokas incident!Just tried to test it out but Lewis did a massive poo in it after 10 minutes.Took nappy off (all contained nicely in nappy) Went to tip it in loo but nappy is so flimsy the contents tipped out & landed in a big pile on my foot! Had to hop with big poo foot to toilet
The kids thought it was hilarious!

Oh mumface. Hysterical.

Poor poor woman kmummy. What can have happened so quickly. Awful. How shocking for them. Awful.

How on earth can you be blamed for having gest diabetes?? Leave guilt here with me, I'll look after it for you I am the holder of the bag-o-guilt on my postnatal thread

I might come an sit on your doostep and pretend to be you, and intercept your fluffy post!

Hows the nappy rus?

BBh minkee - I really like them, They are very soft and squidgy. But they are not as tidy as Itti - but the same outside fabric. They do take a while to line dry as the micro booster is sewn in. They are sized. Lovely colours though Never ever leave red thigh marks either.

mumface · 02/10/2009 11:46

kmummy Hope all in innocent with your LO's murmur. for your friends little angel.

mumface · 02/10/2009 11:52

I did laugh at poo foot myself. At least we have a downstairs loo!

kmummy · 02/10/2009 11:57

Stupid google, but i read that a small minority of babies whos mums have had GD can suffer heart defects and murmurs, so me being me i blame myself, felt awful when we found out about DD3 and now its happening again with DD2, just feel like im to blame in a way, will happily take up your offer of holding my guilt could do with a rest

Mumface, sorry but thats bought a smile to my face!

I now have the urge to buy a BBH minkee, dammit!

newspaperdelivery · 02/10/2009 12:02

Go with your urges...

I think to have the cardiac problems the pregnancy would need to be very badly affected and the mother to be really difficult to control, blood sugar wise, despite insulin and so on. In this case, it would be such a mega deal of a nasty case of GD that guilt really would have to replaced with being pissed off with such bad luck. If you see what I mean.

Hope that is clear - it's meant to make you feel better but it doesn't really read that way. lol.

mumface · 02/10/2009 12:05

The BBH Minkee are nice but huge compaired to itti's. I decided to use it at night as I never use it in day. The large is so bulky. It has a big pocket though so you can boost it loads. Regret buying red though, it dyes every thing in sight. Have to wash separate with tea towels every time.

Octothechildherder · 02/10/2009 12:08

lol tree - hope it is an ikea bag to catch them all

have you orderd an xl bag or do you want one on your wish list?

laughed out loud at poo foot

I started taking photos of the patches but then did something to the camera - will try again this afternoon - hoping it will just go away and work again lol

Off to pub for lunch with village girlies

newspaperdelivery · 02/10/2009 12:08

My red is ok [I think]. It's preloved though so maybe is passed that stage. Haven't seen a large yet, stil on the meds. They have loads of cloth don't they? Sort of frilly at the waist and legs. I do liek though - very reliable, soft and strokable. Pig to dry and not slim fitting.

newspaperdelivery · 02/10/2009 12:09

No ordering for me octo - can't pay!! Have a need for the almond sparrows. I love my pink one.

Enjoy lunch!

JennyPennyNAPPYWEB · 02/10/2009 12:17

I am loading the fleece coolababys on the site today. Will be on 10% off for a week. I hadn't realised they weren't on the site! Opps!

My storage boxes are not big enough for my nappies I think I am going to have to turn the cupboard under the stairs into a stock cupboard.

Has anybody ordered custom woolies and then found their kids have grown? I have got some coming for ELouise but want them to last the winter - but worried I will spend all this money and then she will have grown too much!
