OMG ellie ; DD2 looks soooooooo grown up. I'm looking forward to meeting you both in October. The wrap looks funky; I can see a range of tartans to go under bridesmaids dresses at Scottish weddings to co-ordinate with the groom's tartan

I'm listing some stuff for sale on the sale boards later...not sure any of it is "couture" enough for you lot though but I have some hemp GAD inserts that I'm going to list as well since it's relevant to this afternoon's chat

Overnight I used a Little Kiwi kwik flip unboosted on bumble with a tots rainbow wrap over the top and there were still dry bits on the nappy in the morning. It didn't look too bulky either. Mind you, mine aren't mammoth wetters

I only have that one nappy suitable for nighttime though, but would I be able to use a tots cotton or bambinex if boosted with microfibre or hemp or a prefold? (might have to rethink those GADs )

Daisy - depends on how heavy wetting your DC are. Should be fine though. Try and boost with as much hemp as you can, outside the nappy, so it doesn't effect its fit. So between nappy and wrap.

LatinDAISYcal · 30/09/2009 19:50

Will wait with bated breath tomorrow myjob

I knew about boosting outside of the nappy Jenny, thanks to my previous dalliance with Ella's house! After all the nappies that I have used at some point in the past; I am astounded by the choice of nappies I haven't used.

not sure about the whole seasonal nappy thing though...I barely even understand bibs or outfits. Mind you I suppose they must have a good second hand market and will be in good nick

ellielou02 · 30/09/2009 21:25

Hello again, omg talking about christmas wraps is getting me all excitied about christmas
daisy I know she is huge the HV couldnt belive how long she was when I got her length done a few weeks ago, I cant wait to meet you either will be fun Right away to put another pic on profile of the McNappy we were on the news and everything lol, but have taken a better pic.

ellielou02 · 30/09/2009 21:32

Done new pic on my profile

Babybots · 30/09/2009 21:57

Daisy - I'd of said you can boost any two parter for night times as long as you have the wrap to fit over it!

Im also using Bambinex bamboos at night with microf and bamboo and it lasts really well. The bambinex one size wraps good too!

As you can see i boost with loads and i've not had a leak for months with just boosted two parts, no special night nappies.... Just prooves it can be done easily. With the right combo of boosting.

purplesal · 30/09/2009 23:22

I am opening a Nappy Shop!! But not in London. It's going to be in Oxford, and only once a month - last Saturday afternoon of every month. There will also be a sling seller and a Maternity / Nursing top seller there too I think. If it's a success I'll open more often, or have another venue at a different time.(And if it's a huge success I'll open a proper shop with bricks, mortar and fulltime opening hours!!) Do you think people will come?? I'm very excited - I only finalised the venue today, and have just published my website but it's going take 72 hours until it becomes live - agh!!!!

newspaperdelivery · 30/09/2009 23:57

JennyPennyNAPPYWEB · 01/10/2009 12:35

Octo - did you say your UD soy is a day nappy? If so, you would need some boosting. I would think one or 2 hemp boosters would so the trick. I only use the UDNN at night and my day ones in the day. The day ones are very absorbant but wouldn't last the night on either of my 2 but they are heavy wetters at night as bith drink lots of milk.

In fact, Talia is going backwards at night now and sleeps less now at 5 months than when when she was a newborn

Octothechildherder · 01/10/2009 12:46

I did boost it lol! I blame the cover Will try with a better cover next time.

mumface · 01/10/2009 12:48

Got my Tirsokas already!
Thanks Littlepants How do you do that shrinkwrapping?! The packet was so thin I thought you had forget to put the nappy in & just sent an insert! It was cool how the nappy just popped out when I cut it open. Will prewash it today. It is the lightest nappy I have seen. It will be like he's just like wearing a pair of pants. They look like they will pull up & down too for toilet training too.
