i have bumhuggers. they dont work for us, only for during the day. i think my kids might be heavy wetters

newspaperdelivery · 26/09/2009 20:57

Have leered over this for ages.

LatinDAISYcal · 26/09/2009 21:00

Well natty if you wanted to sell of some of your bumhugger.....

DH will go nuts if I buy any more nappies.

got some fluffy post today; a lollipop rainbow pocket and an organic cotton shaped that I bought from another advisor. They are lovely and DD has gone to bed with the rainbow fleece.....she saw bumble in cloth and wanted to be as well, but her bottom would be shredded in the morning, so I stuck it over the top of her sposie without an insert

oh dear i may have to have one.

tho it says you can landonise it and use it as a wool soaker if you use 'wool all-in-ones, or wool PJs or a wool vest underneath'

so im not getting the point.. surely its the same as using a cotton one if you have to use extra wool anyway?

LatinDAISYcal · 26/09/2009 21:09

oooh, I'm loving the merino leggings on that site.

I sooo want a knitting machine so I can rattle off things like that

newspaperdelivery · 26/09/2009 21:09

I think merino in this case is being used for the pure breathability and so on. We found this place looking for clothes to help with dd1 itchy skin.

I don't get it either really, should there be a wool wrap as well? Lets get one and see

newspaperdelivery · 26/09/2009 21:12

yes get one Latin. Then sell me stuff really cheap lol.

I'd just love the wool socks and tights for dd. She always has freezing feet after school.

They do have lovely stuff. It all looks so comfortable and exactly what a baby would choose if they could shop online.

TheNattyTheHippy · 26/09/2009 21:16

i wish you hadnt shown me that site! dh will kill me if i buy anything else.
i fancy leggings too daisy, the trousers look good too. it doesnt say suitable for landonising, do you think they would work?

LatinDAISYcal · 26/09/2009 21:30

PMSL at "exactly what a baby would choose if they could shop online"

based on my experience in the garden today bumble would be ordering well rotted farmyard manure by the sackful as he must have eaten a pound of the stuff

tree that is exactly my thinking; good quality, but reasonably priced, wool garments. there is a market!

LittlePants · 26/09/2009 21:35

Am feeling frustrated! I was expecting my new Tirsokas CoolMax lined pockets order to arrive yesterday or today, and there's still no sign. I can't wait to see them, as they are soooo gorgeous, and get them into the shop! Maybe they'll arrive on Monday. (crosses fingers, toes, legs, eyes, and anything else that moves LOL )
Finally finished the new shed, so have more storage for nappies at last. So many cuts on my hands through doing it though, I think I need a blood transfusion! LOL

Hope you're feeling better soon 4 - that's horrid for you and bubs!

LatinDAISYcal · 26/09/2009 21:38

Littlepants are you a seller as well?

LatinDAISYcal · 26/09/2009 21:45

oooooh, have I found you?????

lots of interesting european made products?

ager · 26/09/2009 21:48

Hi everyone. By coincidence I was asking about the disana sleeping bag in the nappies section, but didn't get many replies. So I ordered one to try anyway. DD2 will be wearing a bamboo or hemp nappy, wool soaker, merino pyjamas and have a knitted merino sleeping bag! A 5 month old eco warrior . Very of the cashmere leggings though! I bought a pair of bootees in the brora sale and thought I was being extravagant!

BTW she was wearing the wool dungarees from cambridgebaby today and looked v. v.cute. Well I thought so anyway.

newspaperdelivery · 26/09/2009 22:40

OOOo ager. I have so much to ask you!

Do you think you could use those bags lanolised? Or the pj bottoms? Can we see pics

One day I will travel the 300 miles or so to Cambridge Baby and spend massive wads of dosh.

It all looks so comfortable.

I had a pang of guilt for dd1 [now a very grown up school girl] not only did she wear dispos she has to wear a uniform all day. So now she will be wearing wool tights [her feet are always freezing in the big clunky school choes] and merino fleece mitts, and a silk/wool vest. The playground is so exposed

These late night shopping accidents are a nightmare!

newspaperdelivery · 26/09/2009 22:43

Where has the red spotty one been all my life? here

Am really very very broke.

Anyone tried these?

Babybots · 26/09/2009 23:12

Ooooh they are prety.....

Update the Fleece soaker is doing well so far i really hope i dont end up with a wet and grumpy baby in a few hours.

Maybe i'll be brave and try some wool if the fleece works!

Babybots · 26/09/2009 23:15

pretty even! My blinking keyboard keeps missing out letters Grrrrrrr.

LatinDAISYcal · 26/09/2009 23:42

there is probably something stuck under it BB; turn it upside down and give a shake, or hoover it!

JennyPennyNAPPYWEB · 27/09/2009 01:22

The wool sleeping bags do look fab, but would think they would end up expensive to hand make to sell.

I have just got in from work and shattered. Busy night behind the bar. Gutted I haven't had time to do anything to my site today.

LittlePants · 27/09/2009 03:04

Newspaperdelivery Tirsokas are pretty new, and pretty cool! They are pockets lined with CoolMax. They are the lightest weight, softest nappies imaginable! I have a team of mums who test nappies out for me, before I will stock them, and the feedback on these has been staggering! They are the ultimate pocket nappy - generous in the rise as well. The CoolMax is excellent for babies allergic to fleece, and helps greatly with nappy rash as well. Shame they don't do a onesize yet though, as they are a bit pricey!!

4andnotout · 27/09/2009 06:48

Morning all

I'm feeling much better today after a good nights rest, so will roll out of bed in a while and sort the kiddies clothes out.

I love all that wool stuff but I'm useless at washing it, by the time I'm finished it is either good for barbie or has stretched so much I could wear it

mumface · 27/09/2009 07:53

Morning all, just checking in for the day.
Glad you are feeling batter 4
Baby still asleep. May stop waking him for 11pm dream feed as he gets up late in the morning & does not want much milk!
Lewis howled when I changed him this morning he had done a poo & slept in it. It is so sore & he insisited he had a nappy put back on or else I would have left him to air. Put an itti on him really loosly as they are skimpy & some bepanthen.
BB I just got some Debbies fleece soakers with really good results.

ellielou02 · 27/09/2009 10:46

Morning Ladies
newspaper wish you hadnt posted that link I want one looks lush.
jenny glad you had a good holiday and good that you have lots of orders
4 glad you are feeling better (have been lurking but no time to post)
babybots did the fleece last the night?
Can anyone help me with this I am having ishoos with smelly nappies, have stripped them a few times and used lovely hemp and lemon grass sanitiser also trid bicar now I noticed some talk a while ago about bold 2 in 1 is it ok to use on nappies with the softner thats in it and will it get rid of the smell. I think they are smelling as was having trouble getting DD2 to drink anything other than milk and she has cut that down to 3 bottles a day (is 11 months) so expect that will drop again soon, but we have resolved that recently.
mumface loved the longies do they work or do you need pure wool? I want to give it a try

mumface · 27/09/2009 11:11

Ellie I havn't tried my wool yet, it should arrive soon. I believe it does need to be pure wool though to be water resistant.
I use bold 2-in 1 it is a clay based ssoftener and so does not clog the fibres. It may help with the smell but I have still had to strip my Itti bitti inserts recently.

Babybots · 27/09/2009 12:05

Morning!

Im now a fleece lover! It lasted the whole night and wasnt even damp... Im amazed! After the success fleece will now be available from us very soon! I best not get started on wool!!

As for the Bold yes give it a go, i use it all the time now and haven't had to strip my nappies at all since. Its a safe clay based softner to use so you wont have any problems there, but i use literally a milk scoop full and do a rince before and after i wash them.

Little pants those new nappies sound like the Gro Baby? They have the mesh in them too.
