Hello all, can I come in and ask a quick question? I am a returning cloth user (last used them 2 years ago) and am expecting twins in November . Just wanted to know if anyone has used Wee Notions side snap pockets (small size). I got rather carried away on their website a few weeks back and ordered a couple to try when the dts arrive, thinking I could use some of the inserts I have lying around from ds2. Now that I have the nappies I have just discovered that they are tiny and very narrow through the crotch - what should I use to fill them? Help!

They are adorable though .

Octothechildherder · 28/08/2009 12:50

Welcome to new folk - great to have more addicts!

Not sure about your pop n gro Jenny - have you been using a booster with it? I use the bamboo one the most folded at the front and it lasts about 2 hours on ds3 which is standard for any nappy on him as he is a heavy wetter. Only two parters last longer tbh.

I have tried weenotions but can;t remember if they were side snap - but they were good and very very cute!

Octothechildherder · 28/08/2009 13:23

Argh! Kids are driving me crackers, still haven't packed for the weekend away and my jeans from my next delivery are too big Another pair to bloody send back!

No fluffy post either, i haven't even got any on way yet, few people interested in my baby bufters so should hear back from them soon.

Im quite pleased with myself actually as i have kept up the hair straightening and make up each day and i'm feeling (and looking) much better and happier, feel like such a frump usually so lovely to feel a bit funky!

Octothechildherder · 28/08/2009 14:59

hmmm keep it up for a few more goes then email lollipop head office - use the email address I gave you.

thebluefoxategreensocks · 28/08/2009 15:06

oooh, that new nappy looks lovely, octo! But a bit expensive to try out! Have to do an introductory sell! LOL

Octothechildherder · 28/08/2009 15:37

Yes - they do seem alot - I think you are meant to have about 12 outers, 10 extra inners etc - like you would with an itti. Have ordered a blackerry one! So was £22.50 with 2 inners - which works out a bit cheaper if look at it as two nappies I suppose. I will do my normal 10% but free postage ends today!

kmummy · 28/08/2009 19:07

Hey ladies, tried the tots bot easyfit today and it leaked after just an hour and lo was soaking...is this normal, i thought his skin would stay dry....do cloth nappies not keep the moisture 100% away...?

JennyPenny22 · 28/08/2009 20:19

Kmummy - was it brand new? Has it been washed a few times?

OP posts:
kmummy · 28/08/2009 20:32

Yes it was new....washed twice, does it need more than that to start obsorbing...?

JennyPenny22 · 28/08/2009 21:42

I would give it a few more washes then to see how it goes. The more it is washed, the more absorbant it will be. What fabric is it? I have never had one of those before.

OP posts:
kmummy · 28/08/2009 22:54

Its the bamboo....it was sopping wet, they look so good was hoping they would perform well..hopefully after a few more washes itl help...

JennyPenny22 · 28/08/2009 23:37

Yes bamboo can take lots of washes before getting to full absorbancy. Do you have any boosters could you use with them for now?

OP posts:
kmummy · 29/08/2009 00:15

I only have the boosters that came with each nappy, have two for the bg, and two for the lollipop popngro, could i use them instead then?

TheNatty · 29/08/2009 01:31

kmummy i have a few of them, they are very good but take a while to get up to absorbancy. try fleece liners to help with keeping her skin dry

Octothechildherder · 29/08/2009 09:14

Bamboo needs 6 washes - tbh I think fleece needs the same - esp the fluffle type fabric inc the popngro.

I am going to use my easyfit overnight tonight with a fuzzi insert aswell.

Have nice day
