cyteen lol! new baby will be in white babygrows only for first 6 months, and i thought that a purple nappy showing thru, or indeed a white tshirt with a nappy in the hot months, people might think he is a girl
which will annoy DH, as he likes his boys to be boys (despite the fact tom wears pink fairy dresses )

TheNatty · 16/03/2009 10:12

greenkids hemp inserts are 6 layers of hemp, does anyone know of any other with more? im happy to double them up, but i noticed alot of the inserts only had 4, so i want a few of the thickest i can find for nights

soon2befamilyof4 · 16/03/2009 10:17

Yes, I will be the tester for the lil stinkies! They look lovely, and they will be the first proper pretty nappies I have really. Our WNNN is nemo themed but that is boyish but didn't care as I just wanted one for nights and got it preloved. I do have a bit of a pretty shaped nappy but when covered in a wrap it is a bit pointless! Other than that, plain pink or purple is probably the best we have!

aww soon mine are all pretty plain.
i was going for the top brands which tend to be all plain.
i want some BG's and will order them online as my friend gets 20% off cos she works for mothercare.
if anyone wants to go halves with me on a larger pack i would be happy to.
will be ordering them end of the month.
anyone in?

soon2befamilyof4 · 16/03/2009 10:38

The natty, I am hoping to get a few more BG but TBH I am getting them for around £5-6 preloved as and when I see them so I think it would work out cheaper that way. Do let me know how much they work out though as if they are a good price I might. I don't have any V3s yet, all V2s.

soon2befamilyof4 · 16/03/2009 10:41

Mamas and papas don't do any washables do they? I have about £30 in gift vouchers from AGES ago and if I don't use them soon there won't be anything suitable as I won't have any babies! But nothing in there interests me as its a bit overpriced IMO. Might have to use it towards a cot mattress for new baby, but would still probably work out cheaper to buy else where.

SunflowerNeedsSunshine · 16/03/2009 10:44

ILMD, hope baby's fine

(poor DD been in dispos as DP was looking after her and with me going between bed and sofa, washing was already accumulating... trying to catch up today when my head's not spinning)

TheNatty · 16/03/2009 10:46

soon has your easy peasy order come yet?

mumoftoby · 16/03/2009 10:57

TheNatty the WNNNs I got pre-loved have for the usual inserts (I think they are 4/5 layers) and an extra 2 layers you can get from WN - they are massive! They are washing at the moment but I will count the layers later.

swampster I wish you hadn't mentioned that tots bots new wraps are good - I now want a blue one with white stars now!

ilmd I hope baby bama is ok now and that you are ok too sunflower.

rusmum · 16/03/2009 11:07

TheNatty · 16/03/2009 11:15

WNNN sound good.

i was just thinking about an ellas house. are they any good? sound good cos they are entirely hemp, which is a super absorber for ellen.
any experiance of them guys?

swampster · 16/03/2009 11:25

I really like the shape and fit of Ella's House (Lollipop isn't a fan). They really benefit from a tumble though.

swampster · 16/03/2009 11:27

I want a WNNN but I'm waiting for my tiny guy to actually need one . I'll be getting one new cause I want to build my own nappy .

TheNatty · 16/03/2009 11:30

yeah thats ok cos i tumble my nappies anyway (bad eco warrior)
do they need a wrap? they are quite cheap arnt they i was impressed.

4andnotout · 16/03/2009 11:31

I use bumhuggers at night as they are heavy durt I have hundreds though so going to have to have a clear out!

4andnotout · 16/03/2009 11:32

That should be heavy duty!

swampster · 16/03/2009 11:35

I like durt better!

Yes, WNNN need a wrap...

TheNatty · 16/03/2009 11:45

oh 4 if ur selling...

TheNatty · 16/03/2009 11:47

do the bumhuggers need a wrap? ive got some so thats fine, just dont want to sell my wraps if im going to need them

4andnotout · 16/03/2009 11:51

They do need a wrap, i have the old style without the pull out booster, mainly grenn,or blue fleece inners and a mix of applix and poppers. If you are interested i'll have a count up and let you know what i have, would be thinking £4.50 each plus post?

TheNatty · 16/03/2009 11:54

how old are you DC? do you think they would do ellen, she is a very heavy wetter. the new ones you can add extra you see...

4andnotout · 16/03/2009 12:01

DD3 is 17 months, and dd4 is 4 months. I do put boosters in for dd3 but she even out wees disposables she is such a heavy wetter

TheNatty · 16/03/2009 12:08

ok shall we say a fiver each inc postage and i'll take 2?

4andnotout · 16/03/2009 12:11

Yes that sounds good, let me have a sort out in a bit and i'll let you know which colours and fastenings there is to choose from, the dd's are demanding food
