4andnotout got fluffy post yesterday thanks!
Must stop buying nappies until I have my baby!

AnnVan · 08/02/2009 13:09

Rusmum I don't use them at night, but they would probably be ok with a bit of extra boosting I think.

Oops AFAIK the bimble is a smaller version of the bumble (I think) I may be wrong though.

itwasCYTEENagewedding · 08/02/2009 15:20

rusmum have emailed you

lollipopmother · 08/02/2009 15:24

TTC = Trying to conceive
BBOS = Blueberry One-Size
BBSS = Blueberry Side-Snap

ILMD = I'd just stick your nappies on every board going, that's what I did! A quick copy and paste of your advert is all you need.

Rusmum - I can remember seeing you were getting some wool for a wrap - apparently it should be aran weight so that it's thick enough. The two most popular yarn types are Bluefaced Leicester (BFL) and Merino. I didn't know any of this until I asked on another website.

ILMD I second lolipops advice, use every forum going! I personally browse clothnappytree and ukparentslounge several times a day and im sure im not the only one, so they will get plenty of interest

drlove8 · 08/02/2009 21:53

today i bought some waterproof pants from boots, as a stand in when my wraps are drying-(i only have 6), are they any good? does anyone else have them? or should i just buy more wraps??

4andnotout · 08/02/2009 22:01

I used to use them before i found out about wraps and shaped nappies, they are ok as spares but have a tendancy to go stiff and the elastic on the legs and waist perish easily.

RedHairedGirlie · 08/02/2009 22:53

Hi There,

I posted below on another thread, but found this one that seems more active so have posted here too...

Spent hours researching re-usables.. what a mind field!! I want to try and use a one size nappy from birth to potty and plan to order a few types to try out whilst starting off with Disposables (due in April). Has anyone used Nature Babies Big Softee (popper fastening)or nature babies micro pocket, these both seem to have good reviews and good drying capabilities. I was going to order one of these, and a couple of wraps - PUL for daytime and a fleece for night to try. Was thinking of also getting one of the Bumgenius Pockets v3. Alternatively was thinking of just taking the plunge and going all out on Bumgenius before baby is born... I'm planning on breast feeding too so not sure how much of a considering factor this should be???

I never thought I would spending sometimes 4 hours a night on the internet resarching nappies.... now I understand what people mean when they say it becomes addictive!!!

drlove8 · 08/02/2009 23:10

4andnotout- a fountain of knowledge as usual thanx , will defo keep the "pants as spares only" - need some bright fushia wraps and some bright orange wraps- nees to be almost florecent! - to match dd4s party dresses! anyone know where i can get some , or some wrwps that will dye really well!

drlove8 · 08/02/2009 23:14

another question, anyone ever used the bambinex all-in-ones? seen very lovely yellow today(boots again lol), am tempted, very tempted- dont want to buy if its crapolia though!

4andnotout · 09/02/2009 07:49

drlove ahh! You have found a nappy i have no experiance of

Redhairedgirly i think the general consencus here is to try a varity of nappies before you buy just one sytem iykwim, if you are happy to buy second hand it cuts costs too so you can try more
Personally i have had no containment issues with Bumgenius and dd4 who is 3 months old is breastfed. I also have some for sale £7 delivered

It was so lovely to have them both in cloth last night after our weekend away! DD4 slept through as well which was a huge bonus! When i got home last night there was loads of fluffy post too which made the evening wearing Hedrin seem a bit better

4andnotout · 09/02/2009 07:50

drlove Sunflower is selling a fuscia pink baby behinds wrap im sure it is nearly new.

NappyObsessed · 09/02/2009 09:55

lollipopmother DD is definitely only 13lb I've just weighed her to double check! I think maybe I'm a bit paranoid about nappies being too tight as DD has reflux and I don't want to aggrevate it. Tried sandy's again and they look tight but have not left red marks so no need to buy large yet This is just as well as I have Baby Beehinds, Mama Bless, itti bitti and bum huggers on order Can't wait for post to arrive!

NappyObsessed · 09/02/2009 10:02

I know some people are looking for bamboo Baby Beehinds and have just seen some on usednappies.co.uk

2 x Baby Beehinds & 1 Mamabless

thebluefoxategreensocks · 09/02/2009 12:03

NappyObsessed: oooh, good price for the BBH & Mamabless - bet they'll get snapped up quickly.

SunflowerNeedsSunshine · 09/02/2009 12:38

Drlove - yes, I have a fushia baby beehinds, only prewashed as it was a bit too big on DD when I got it and then it just sat on the nappy stacker, pics on cloth nappy tree if you're interested

drlove8 · 09/02/2009 12:54

oooh sunflower what size? im looking for medium- or what would cover totsbots size 2? , and how much are you wanting for them?

SunflowerNeedsSunshine · 09/02/2009 13:00

it's a small....

ilovemydogandMrObama · 09/02/2009 13:10

dr love -- Without wishing to stop you getting everything ready before the baby is born, I would wait until after the baby is born. I did the same as you, and ended up with Miss Skinny pants and had to buy Sandy's Extra Small as her legs were like matchsticks!

4andnotout · 09/02/2009 13:13

sunflower lolipop said you were selling some bumhuggers are you?

swampster · 09/02/2009 13:13

Shame you didn't say about the BBH wrap about a week or so ago - there was a load on Amazon for £4.99 but when I checked they were GONE! I manage to hold back...

Aaaaaah! The Organic Baby Company has some on sale too. Don't know what they charge for shipping though.
