I always have a look to see what reading book theyre on/ what the standard of their work is compared to my dcs.

I take DC school bag before they go to someone elses.

There was a very heated thread on this not long ago. It seems to provoke outrage in quite a few people.

I'll admit to it. I worry about DS2 and DS3's reading and want to see just how far behind they are.

I started a thread about this once. I was the only one who was prepared to admit to doing it......!

dd1 is 'average' in her reading. so am not overly concerend and wouldnt compare her with other kids.

if anyone checked dd2 bookbag they would think their child was massively behind. she is in year one and working at the top end of year 2 level.

I have absolutely no idea what would make a parent do this. I'm totally . How is it any more ok than going in an adult's bag?
