I was thinking crossiants with ham and cheese, maybe some chocolate filled ones too.
but it’s not really a big breakfast to keep us going is it ?

what do you guys have for breakfast on Christmas Day?

Selection box
Lindt reindeer
Clementine
😃

Gammon. Usually followed by chocolate.

Frozen pastries - from the fancy garden centre so I've got pain au raisins, croissants and maple pecan twists

A Terrys Chocolate Orange 🍊

stillholly · 14/12/2023 19:20

Frozen baked Crossaints are a good shout.

Paddleboarder · 14/12/2023 19:21

A piece of toast. Teenager has chocolate and adult child had a hangover last year so nothing.

andHelenknowsimmiserablenow · 14/12/2023 19:23

Bacon and egg sandwich, and champagne and orange juice.

gocompare · 14/12/2023 19:24

Smoked salmon for dd this year maybe on a bagel. Dh and I will have bacon on toast probably

peanutparade · 14/12/2023 19:24

If the kids are in the nice list they eat the satsuma that they get in the stocking. If they're on the naughty list they just lick the coal

Userengage · 14/12/2023 19:25

A tube of orange Smarties (tube tipped up to mouth, I’m classy) and a glass of champagne.

CyberCritical · 14/12/2023 19:25

Xmas tree shaped crumpets from Asda.

BingoMarieHeeler · 14/12/2023 19:26

😵‍💫 chocolate surely

You don’t need anything to keep you going, you need to keep room for the massive roast.

mambojambodothetango · 14/12/2023 19:26

Same as usual. The rest of the day is basically gorging so a bowl of muesli and a cuppa is adequate.

gingercat02 · 14/12/2023 19:26

Bacon or sausage sarnies and champagne followed by chocolate

TiramisuTastesDreamy · 14/12/2023 19:27

Xmas day is the one day we don’t have breakfast ! Chocolates and nibbles all the way til lunch 😂

Torganer · 14/12/2023 19:27

Smoked salmon and eggs. Our little one loves it.

Mykittensmittens · 14/12/2023 19:28

DH and DD - gammon (I do the one in coke) on a slice of home made sourdough toast.

DS and me - toasted slice of pannatone with welsh butter.

nice juices and a decent coffee.

11am - start the nibbles and Buck’s Fizz / Bellini!

TeenDivided · 14/12/2023 19:28

We have a normalish breakfast, but we have roast at 1pm.

Anneta · 14/12/2023 19:28

Crumpets with butter and a cup of tea

randomstress · 14/12/2023 19:28

Adults have champagne and smoked salmon on warm rolls. Dc have warm cinnamon rolls and fizzy juice as a treat.

willyconker · 14/12/2023 19:28

Surely it's always chocolate for breakfast on Christmas morning??

A tube of orange Smarties (tube tipped up to mouth, I’m classy) and a glass of champagne.

This would be my preference but I will probably make the kids some oven baked blueberry pancakes.

aliasname · 14/12/2023 19:30

Christmas porridge (edible glitter sprinkled over it) kept them going during a busy day

NosieRosie · 14/12/2023 19:32

When my kids we little we had a cup of tea, while they were opening their stockings. Then we shared their smarties tubes, selection boxes and anything else that came out of their stockings.

Now my dc are all grown up me and Dh share a box of Lindt balls we take up to bed on Christmas Eve.

I can’t be dealing with spending time in the kitchen, conjuring up a balanced meal for breakfast. It’s my day off and that’s good enough for me. Chocolate it is 🎅🏻 🌲

BeingATwatItsABingThing · 14/12/2023 19:35

We have pancakes.
