DLA waiting times

Hi I hope someone can help DLA received my son's form on 31st March 2023 .. Today Friday 21st of July and still not heard from them .. I keep calling but they are just fobbing me off with excuses .. Won't even tell me if it's with a decision maker yet.. I am not ever sure if it's been looked at.. Tried to tell me I didn't put my bank details on the form ( but I know for sure I did ) because I have a copy.. They seem so full of bs right now and I am getting so very fed up.. contacted my MP even to see if he could help but he also hasn't got back to me.. This stress is taking its toll .. Does anyone else currently have the same problem??

new here!

I’ve just telephoned this morning and the call handler informed me that my claim should go to a dm next week and expect a decision mid August 😖.

the goal posts just keep getting moved and this is ridiculous!

im 3rd April scan date.

@Strangerdanger75 i was on the last thread DLA Wait Times 2023 (Part 10) which I think has closed now as it’s at 1000 posts and there were a few users that were having similar issues and called and asked to raise a complaint and speak to a senior manager and were called back the same day and were awarded

16+1 weeks here and only just gone to DM . The wait is getting longer and longer for everyone... unrealistic waiting times

@Strangerdanger75 my scan date 30/3 and literally only today gone to a DM... unfortunately a lot of us are experiencing the same problem 16+ weeks :(

I am on the line to them right now.. I am going to make a complaint.. They can't keep putting parents through this .. The money is needed for our children fgs.. An hour to answer the phone even .. Terrible service .. They don't care about the disabled in this country.. 😡

Was on hold for over an hour on Tuesday, finally got through to someone who couldn't have been less bothered tbh. Told me no decision was on the system and that I would be sent a reference number which they could then use to upload a decision? No idea what that means. I asked for more details and she huffed and said I'll put down that you want a text?! I said ok that's great, how long until I hear something and she said a few days and hung up!

Scan date 30/03 i called to coplain yesterday and this morning. Yesterday was still not even with a DM by this morning it was, just had a call back from a manager after raising my complaint and she was lovely told me my son has been awarded HRC and MRB. The relief is unreal after this wait! So if ur claim has been on going for over 15 and a half weeks u can make a complaint and request a call back from a manager. Do they do face to face interviews for child DLA? I'm wondering if when people talk about as a date they're already assessed face to face or whether children aren't put through that.

Hi I was also on the old thread Dla waiting times part 10 my scan date is 31st March too I called this morning to ask for an update and she said it’s with a case manager does that mean it’s still gonna be a while yet cos does it have to go to a decision maker after this I’m so fed up now xxx

@Muva306 thank you! Honestly its such a relief i was worrying we wouldnt be awarded then it would be MR process so im really happy the wait has been worth while

Omg just got off the phone.. My boy been awarded hr for both care and mobility .. We are celebrating...

Hey @MammaLBlue seen you on other thread, think we was the same scan date? 30/3?? , I literally just received a text to say my son qualifies what a long 16 weeks it's been!!! Was only handed to DM today and couple of hours had an answer... when I called them on Monday they said I would have an answer by weekend and actually stuck to it for once. . You might get a decision too fingers crossed x

@MammaLBlue I really hope to hear some good news from you soon then, love how we can all support each other on here... @Strangerdanger75 make sure you report the missing COL payment for your child too and update UC if you're in receipt of that as they will back date payments, also register for FAMILY FUND grant they can give you things for your child or family days out etc xx

Another bit of amazing new @PhoenixB19 I’m so happy for you all!! Summer holidays are hard enough without having for you all to feel
in limbo without knowing. I’m still within the time scales but will deffs be calling when I hit the 15.5 week mark

Quite a few of your have mentioned scan dates, I sent my form using the freepost address? Did you scan send it recorded to that you got proof if had been sent? I am now regretting not doing this. Although I only sent my forms a few weeks ago so sounds like I've got a long wait yet.

@BearKey you should receive a letter shortly, a confirmation letter from them which will outline the date they received will will be your scan date. I never sent mine recorded either

Hi all, my scan dates 6th april. Just got off the phone been told I should have a decision towards end of month. Tired if waiting for answer
