Hi I hope someone can help DLA received my son's form on 31st March 2023 .. Today Friday 21st of July and still not heard from them .. I keep calling but they are just fobbing me off with excuses .. Won't even tell me if it's with a decision maker yet.. I am not ever sure if it's been looked at.. Tried to tell me I didn't put my bank details on the form ( but I know for sure I did ) because I have a copy.. They seem so full of bs right now and I am getting so very fed up.. contacted my MP even to see if he could help but he also hasn't got back to me.. This stress is taking its toll .. Does anyone else currently have the same problem??
Thank you

I really feel for all of you who are waiting.. It's so bloody stressful .. As if we don't have enough to cope with .. Col crisis..Disabled child/children to cope with .. It's very difficult atm so if we can all be here for each other it may just lighten the load a little .. I dearly hope you all get the decision you are praying for ... Xx

I'm just completing a firm now for my DD14, likely ASD ADHD, severe anxiety, sensory issues and Tourette's.
I'm applying for mobility too, no idea of she'll qualify but she can't even go into a shoe without panicking and running back to safety let alone public transport.

What did you do ref getting the professional to complete that section?

My son is 3 hrs just got awarded Friday HR care, he has no diagnosis yet or ehcp.. but he is 9-12m milestones none verbal, tics, extreme PICA.. he's under community paediatric, SALT, on his 4th IEP and receives inclusion funding at nursery . So if my boy can get it without any diagnosis I'm pretty sure you will. I sent so much evidence I made it clear he wasn't your 'average' 3yr old. So as long as they see how much extra you have to do on a daily basis you'll be fine . If they refuse 100% FIGHT IT!!! I got a decision 16 weeks to the date x

Not dla related but does anyone know anything like really good padding or anything to protect little ones head and walls? 3 holes in 1 day! Constantly plastering my wall and painting after her destroying them all as walls only thin and she uses her head to do it 🙁! I really need this dla to be accepted it’s costing me so much to replace everything getting destroyed and constantly worried about her head which helmet don’t really help need a proper one for support

Just an update! 16 weeks today and still not with the DM I have demanded a phone call back today! I said I’ve complained twice I have been waiting for someone to ring me since Thursday and I want to speak to a manager today! I am so annoyed 😫 my stress levels can not take this lol

Danleigh89 · 24/07/2023 10:31

Its so annoying I'm 15+4 my anxiety levels are through the roof. Get told different things everytime I ring up. Surely can't be much longer. Scan date 6th april x

Mammyof5cherubs · 24/07/2023 12:06

My scan date is 31st March just rang up still no decision she said it’s taking between 16-18 weeks now so completely different to what I was told last week 🤦‍♀️ xxx

MammaLBlue · 24/07/2023 12:12

@Mammyof5cherubs im sure I read Somewere that if they give you a time scale and you complain and they go way over they have to give you compensation which is why when you complain they sort it out quicker. Not working for so I’m just going to keep ringing 😂x

Beccibooxx · 24/07/2023 14:14

im 16 weeks today too! I called this morning and they said it’s finally with the dm! Not sure when to call back, some seem to get done in a couple of hours some seem to take weeks! 🙈

Simba91 · 25/07/2023 09:17

My scan date is the 3rd April, just got of the phone to them and they told me it went to a decision maker on the 22nd July, does anyone know how long it takes to get the decision?

MammaLBlue · 25/07/2023 09:56

I’m 3rd April manager rang me said I’m going to be waiting till next week 😤😤

Simba91 · 25/07/2023 09:57

Can't belive how long it is taking! X

MammaLBlue · 25/07/2023 09:58

They told me when it’s with dm can take up to 10 days

purplepandas · 25/07/2023 10:00

My scan is only 4th July so mega wait. I am hearing 18 weeks now. It is appalling that this is deemed to be acceptable.

MammaLBlue · 25/07/2023 10:01

@purplepandas thats what I said to the manager I said you keep adding a extra 2 weeks everytime I’m ringing when your giving me exact dates, gave me aload of excuses 🙄!

Beccibooxx · 25/07/2023 10:07

I rang yesterday morning, and they said it has just gone to a dm, I had a missed call in the afternoon from them so rang back at 9am today and they had awarded yesterday afternoon so it was literally with a dm for a couple of hours! My scan date was the 3/4 too!

MammaLBlue · 25/07/2023 10:14

@Beccibooxx I don’t understand how we are the same scan date and we have totally different responses! But massive congratulations! I’m glad one of us received some news quickly 😊😊

Beccibooxx · 25/07/2023 10:25

I Was honestly shocked I thought it would be declined because I hardly sent any evidence in, I got awarded Mrc and lrm, I didn’t even think I had applied for the mobility part. I didn’t get a text message either even though I put in a request for one. I think they just say that about being with a dm for 10
days to cover there back I’ve read loads where they go to a dm in a morning and are awarded in the afternoon! Really hope it will be sorted soon for you 🙏

Simba91 · 25/07/2023 10:27

Congratulations 🎊 there is some hope for us who are the 3rd April to 🙂

MammaLBlue · 25/07/2023 10:38

That has gave me hope! I only sent in a Pediatrician letter that he wrote up personally and my health visitor sent out the assessment sheet that showed extremely low development delay as she’s only 2 so am so worried

MammaLBlue · 26/07/2023 11:28

My claim went to a dm yesterday!! My nerves are through the roof

Simba91 · 26/07/2023 11:42

Good luck 🤞🤞 hopefully we don't have to much of a long wait!
